Having team wrecking decisions every 3 or 4 years, whether it is something internal or new rules is great, refreshes the top teams, strenghtens the faith on the sport. Much more competitive when streaks are cut. Hope Mercedes will rise again, but that no team will be dominant for more than 3 years.

that would be the case in 2022 but with another 2 seasons where they practically build an entirely new car that they wanted, implementing all the solutions they could not do before because of the budget constraints, and yet they still end with a uncompetitive car, when Red Bull, with Newey can practically shift to new concept in less than a year and still come up with a dominant car, Mercedes do not have a budget cap problem, they have an expertise problem.

Hamilton and Mercedes were incredibly lucky to have been gifted an extra season of having the best car due to covid. Hamilton would still have 95 wins, and nobody would be crying about Abu Dhabi. Instead of crying about Abu Dhabi 21, Hamilton fans should be happy that he got an extra year in the best car to be able to break a century of wins.

It feels like the simulator issue has led to a lot of the problems as if the simulator worked properly then they might not have done the zero pod or stuck with it for so long. The other issues come with some much success but not having a key development tool working would make those issues worse.

@f1reverse You really need to move your prompter or what ever it is you're looking at to somewhere near your camera so you aren't constantly looking away.

I like videos where there is more editing and footage from the races. Tks.

Exactly - they bought a winning Brawn car, and re-badged it (with the great Mercedes engine), and with new regs we see a sad lack of engineering understanding of aero etc.

Simply put!!! Question: When did the Mercedes team become a midfield team??? Answer : The day that GR joined the team. hmm Question: What is the Remedy? Answer: Based on GR's 5 season questionable F1 performance, he should be dropped asap in favor of a team player, capable of Winning races. Baring in mind, the drivers feedback is a major part of extracting peak performance out of the car. Dare to compare team results: Bottas - LH actual team results........ with .......... GR - LH actual team results.

Mercedes didn't decline. They just never learned how to build a chassis while everyone else developed chassis and PU. This was simply due to Merc's massive PU advantage at the beginning of the turbo hybrids. Their powerplant was so much better it allowed Williams to regularly podium. Merc could just pile on wing and win by as much as they wanted so they never learned a thing. Now, the competition has caught up and passed them everywhere while hiring away key personnel. Merc needs to put all its eggs in 26 and learn how to make a competitive chassis for the 1st time.

The Mercedes teams biggest mistake was recruiting GR, who is solely responsible for destroying team unity as proved by the their dissapointing loss of competitiveness & poor 'on track' performance.

Merc ain't using him for testing setup. Lewis couldn't get confident with the car and they are having a hard time trying to find a setup for him, so they have no choice but to have him do testings and experiments until Lewis find his confidence. George doesn't have that problem so they don't need to have him do those pointless experiments.

unless you are brand new to F1, the ebb and flow of teams up and down the grid order has been going on for 50 years. its not new and not shocking and no surprise to anyone other than newbies. after dominating the drivers and constructors for almost a decade, that is a long run in this or any other sport. get a grip
