    @@harsh_1910 yeah I’m not saying either of those things. If it’s a small part in a show you’d think they’d just let her do it. All I’m saying is over like a 4 year period she was hurt or hiatus like 5+ times, around the same time as the mandalorian. So it could have been wwe were just being difficult, she’s over exaggerating or they looked at how much time she’s already missed and weren’t about to let her go off again

  • @jonpray5509

    @jonpray5509

    12 күн бұрын

    @@harsh_1910 Both of those reasons can be cohesive. Even small parts are going to have a fairly large commitment, and if your role in the movie isn't big enough to generate the buzz to get over that initial cost of entry then it isn't worth doing. Even if it's only for a few scenes it could have possibly meant disrupting on-going narratives for a month at a time depending on how integral she was. If those few scenes can't be capitalized on to further the story or to generate profits for the WWE, then yeah it's reasonable that they were protect their talent and their product. But also from the interview itself, Mercedes makes it sound like she basically got her part in the movie set up behind the scenes and didn't properly consult WWE creative to make it happen since she claims to have been personally facetiming John Favreau to organize it.

    That tracks. She was not an employee, She was an independent contractor, meaning she had no power to negotiate no matter what her status was. You can be ok with that, or hate it... but the simple truth is that WWE as run by Vince was a place that turned and burned wrestlers and kept them under lock and key. If it wasn't making money directly for WWE Vince didn't want it, and wouldn't push it. Female wrestlers were also not given the same freedom as the men when it came to opportunities to advance their careers. Think about all the amazing women wrestlers in WWE over the past three decades, you can count on finger the number of them who were given time off to pursuit acting or anything else. WWE was a place that demanded 110% day to day, and if you didn't follow orders you weren't a 'team' player and got shoved into the closet. Interviews with other past wrestlers confirm this. Purposeful sabotage would happen if you tried to do something they didn't like. Wrestlers even revealed that Vince and Co would call directors, and producers and bad mouth them. While it's still the premiere wrestling promotion, in the past they weren't "contractor" friendly. Hopefully they have changed this in recent post-Vince times. AEW gets a lot of hate for being disorganized, and to soft backstage, but there are advantages to having more freedom.

    If Tom Cruise has a CONTRACT to do a Mission Impossible movie, and he says "Hey, I'm going to stop doing Mission Impossible for a few weeks and go do literally anything else for money, but you keep paying me because I'm under contract to you" people wouldn't come to Tom Cruise's side and say "What monsters would make that poor top tier celebrity do the thing he's being paid to do when he wants to do another thing and get paid for that, too ?" She was being paid to wrestle, so it's her job to wrestle. If the WWE allows her to do something else, that's fine. But it shouldn't be EXPECTED. She had a job, and they were her boss. That's the ENTIRE story. Stop being marks.

    Sasha Banks was always trouble in WWE she looked at the booking Becky lynch, and charlotte flair where getting wanted to be above them on the card, as far as the mandalorian goes I don’t even think she had any lines, she just stood there in background of a few scenes, Since she left WWE she has used I was on the mandalorian as a bargaining chip both with stardom and AEW, just remember stardom created a title for her, and her first or second match after leaving the WWE she broke her ankle, and then signed with AEW and has done very little except bad mouth WWE, and have a match where you could hear a pin drop for the most part, and the only thing that saved that match was Brit baker DMD come out at the end.

    Female CM Punk. She thinks she's bigger than what she is. The more she talks, the more people don't like her. Many wrestlers think because they appear in stuff or get big offers. That they are bigger than what they appear to be in WWE. And they're not. Unless they strike while the iron's hot like The Rock, Batista and John Cena. Then you gotta keep it going. And if you can't keep it going, nobody is going to care about you anymore. And it's back to wrestling they go. This has happened to quite a few wrestlers. Now, she has a right to vent her frustrations. But it's been 2 years since she left WWE. She had plenty of time to talk. At this point, she is doing and saying too much. And it's turning people off.

    There is a lot of racism and sexism in these comments. Its clear as anything, she was talking about being under Vince. Also if you search on google, she got the opportunity not by being in WWE. She got it for her look and social media following. You can literally find the interview on how she got it on here from her and the producers lol. And the part on wanting to wrestler less dates, most wrestler would want that. Wrestling wear and tears the body. Who wouldn't want that Roman / Ospreay / Punk schedule?

  • @scottie2hottyringer299

    @scottie2hottyringer299

    I haven’t seen any racism or sexism in the comments yet (if there is they’re just ignorant). However you’re just wrong about Sasha. She wouldn’t have had that “social media following” without WWE, her look is from WWE, before she joined NXT she didn’t have the colored hair or even her little stripper dance she does after every sentence. If WWE hadn’t hired her she would have never been in the Mandalorian, common sense dictates she got the job bc of the fame WWE gave her and the look/character they helped her make. Sasha was never a big enough star in WWE to have creative freedom so yeah a big part of what made her “look” came from WWE……. However again, none of that really matters. She complains about every little slight, acts like things are personal like WWE had it out for her, and her entire attitude in real life is just a bully. Go watch how she treats the fan who asks her why she walked out of WWE.

    Y’all hate Sasha now because she bad mouths WWE…see this is one of my issues with diehard WWE fans, y’all can’t take anybody saying anything bad. The wrestlers who’ve spoken negatively were all screwed over. Sasha: for years she won a belt against Charlotte only to lose it literally the next show. Dean/Moxely: Vince didn’t even wanna give the dude a proper send off and had him doing the worst of gimmicks after being a top guy for so long. Christian and Edge: both have only truthfully said creative differences Chris Jericho: his head’s too big to not be a top guy or at least one of the top guys, but he was a legend nonetheless and wasn’t treated respectfully he feels Point is, everyone who’s spoken negatively all seem to have valid reasons. Idk why y’all act like nobody can say a bad word about WWE. Sasha’s only answering questions and knows “the more publicity the better” so she keeps answering them and as far as her attitude, she’s been a heel ever since she left and was on the indie scene and likes playing the heel role so she keeps that persona 24/7, why tf wouldn’t she have a bad attitude in public? She’s a playing a character. Is it possible she could be a shitty person? Duh. But will I just say she downright is one? Nah, because just like y’all, idk her, so I ain’t gonna judge her off of what could be a character…

    The timing and context are equally as important. Nobody really had an issue when she first left and expressed her dissatisfaction with the WWE, but the fact that she's still dragging it out obviously will leave a bad taste in people's mouths. Most people sympathized with Moxley's jump to AEW, but if he was still regularly trying to drag WWE, especially if he had some culpability in his inability to get over, people would also criticize him. At least someone like Moxley has been a consistently above average worker for his career, Mercedes has not. And for the character worker angle, this is a little at odds with your claim she's "only answering questions." It's probably not a work if she's at the mercy of third party interviewers to put her character in the right position to work. But even if it was pre-arranged to help her generate publicity, it doesn't even really fit with her character in the same way that MJF or Drew McIntyre's character work does. Her being salty about her past employer if anything detracts from her CEO/boss gimmick.
