    I'm reading the comment section and I am highly disturbed by the fact that he is being thirst over. Scrutinising their case for a few months now, I do believe their 'abuse excuse' story and I felt that they were quite genuine as their claims and other testimonies (from teachers, Tennis coach, Lifeguard, family members, and friends), plus photographic evidence actually lined up. Having said so, sexualising them (Erik especially) is therefore disturbing for me given what he's been through all his childhood. I do hope they will be retried.

  • @xxwhispersxx2856

    @xxwhispersxx2856

    Same. And another thing to is when they were examined by psychiatrists during the trial, the doctors found that Erik had the emotional mentality of an eight year old and Lyle had the emotional mentality of a 12 year old. They were children in adult bodies at this time. I mean, why would you thirst over that?

  • @annalisavajda252

    @annalisavajda252

    Жыл бұрын

    @@xxwhispersxx2856 well child abuse victims do have stunted development sometimes. They were attractive looking men though no crime to say so but unfortunately maybe some envied them looked rich and handsome "privileged" so wanted them convicted though their motive was justified. If an attractive looking woman is raped and kills her attacker would society be ok with that? She would probably be slut shamed too so much victim blaming historically. I don't think people should judge a book by its cover though and assume living in hell while being abused is a "privileged" life regardless of finances. I left a domestic abuser who had a little money though he didn't when I met him he just found a decent job later and honestly I would rather starve and live in filth and poverty than ever share another meal with him money did not make him less disgusting if anything he was less abusive before because money makes people feel more powerful and controlling over others he was not a generous or loving person but some may have thought I was lucky to be with him just from outward appearances he seemed nice enough. They don't live with him though and get abused by him. I believe those brothers wholeheartedly that was a crime of passion and self defense Erik had had enough and just been told he could not leave to go to college so he felt trapped and desperate I would think. I highly doubt had they reported abuse to police they would have had justice then either or their parents would have been convicted of anything.

    @Rose Kendall yes that may be so. I have a lot of empathy for killers since they are just so messed up which is why i want to become a criminal psychologist or something of that sort. but the thing that angers me are the people on tiktok... they are making edits of erik and not mentioning lyle at all. It's okay to think theyre innocent, everyone has their opinions, but to stan and idolize a convicted killer is... not ok to say the least. also i feel bad for lyle, since hes not getting nearly as much support as erik since he isnt "hot"

    Criticizing one's own parents when they are poor, ugly, alcoholic, etc. is generally accepted. But to criticize your parents when they are preppy notables... that makes all the preppy notables in the country tremble, judges and lawyers included (a big part of whom were educated with black pedagogy, i.e. abusive discipline, at least). That's why they paid so much. It's a pure case of denial. They were silenced so that the notables wouldn't have to keep in front of them this scandalous spectacle of children who had finally rebelled against their parents.

Man, I wonder how they feel now? I'm watching in June 2020. I don't think they killed for money. They obviously were not as intelligent as their parents. @leighannealexander1693

    @@i_xi_xvii_9588 Sorry, but no. You need to educate yourself about the timeline of events, the case and family history before making ignorant statements like "it's a 50/50 chance". And as a grown woman who has been in an intimate relationship with more than one sociopathic liar, it is obvious to me they were lying during their abuse testimony. You can tell it is literally a performance. Just the way Lyle was screaming and crying on the 911 call when he was lying through his teeth. They can turn "emotions" on and off without actually feeling them. That 911 call alone is enough to invalidate any testimony he/they gave. To paraphrase the prosecution "You wanted so strongly for us to believe you then and want so strongly for us to believe you now". Btw, does it make sense for you that a ladies' man like Jose Menendez who was cheating on his wife with several women, including prostitutes, would molest little boys? If you think about it, you couldn't think of a single case like that because it just doesn't happen... I believe their father was an abusive man, albeit not sexually. And I do believe he basically created these two monsters. But it's pretty clear Lyle and Erik were in no danger. They were 21 and 18 (could have left/defended themselves (also sexual abusers do not like their victims transitioning so it is highly improbable any abuse would have carried on into Erik's adulthood as he claimed it was still happening)), they realized they were being cut out of the will, and they didn't like that. Do you know about all the inheritance money that was spent by Lyle and Erik immediately following the deaths? Did you hear the testimony from the computer programmers hired to look at Kitty and Jose's computer after their death? He said Erik asked if old files that had been deleted could be retrieved (the new will his mother was writing) and his spine crawled. Did you know Erik told his therapist they basically thought they were doing the mother a favor because she was so miserable? Did you know they literally blew these people to bits, shot after shot, after ambushing them while they were eating ice cream and watching a movie? Did you know the mother wasn't killed right away after their initial shots and lie on the ground moaning while the two went out to reload to finish her off? Why do you think Erik eventually told his therapist? The guilt was eating away at him because he wasn't full psychopath like his brother. And why didn't he tell his therapist they were being abused if he is comfortable enough to tell him about BRUTALLY murdering his parents? Why did Lyle subsequently threaten the therapist's life? Why did abuse never come up until it was a hail Mary situation? It's good for you you've never dealt with these kind of people, and it is honestly scary to know they're out there... But please, don't be naive, and do your research before you defend awful people like this. To me it is like you are shaming the victims and glorifying crocodile tears. Think about the fact that none of the people testifying against them had anything to gain. The only ones who had anything to gain were the ones who testified for Erik and Lyle, family members and "experts" who acted as prostitutes were obviously paid off. It isn't impossible for any of these people to lie. It happens all the time, sadly. The ONLY way these people were able to fool you into thinking there was a shred of innocence behind this is MONEY.

    @@leighannealexander1693 you know Jose’s mother admitted to molesting him right? That and there’s literally a picture of Jose grabbing Lyle’s crotch, it’s like the third one on google images. If these were girls y’all would’ve had no question about the validity of their claims

    Its sad that many people who are heroes like these 2 young men who saved god knows how much more suffering have to go to prison because our system made them ignore the abusive past after they both had hung juries

    Lets not sexualize/romanticize a rape victim with lots of trauma. Thats both disrespectful to Erik and his wife, Tammi.
