30 years after the WR, they still throw 6-7 meters short of it. Gosh, I wonder why? Russians couldn't have been juicing back then, could they? Lol.

The hammer throw is not about being the strongest; you need enough strength to control the speed and propel the hammer, yes, but the majority of it is technique. And Sedykh had flawless technique.

You have multiple WR's in womens hammer throw by Anita Wlodarczyk set out pretty recently. I wonder how long would they stand.

Those records established 30 years ago were set by men that were able to spin considerably faster that today's hammer throwers. You can see it with the naked eye. Speed and perfect throwing angle.
