I don't understand, why does footage release so late when the event is no longer at peak relevance? Don't get me wrong, Im happy we got the footage but for the sport to gain more recognition it needs to be marketed and covered better.

I saw this comment on another video. Apparently the television broadcaster has rights and ownership of the footage for a long duration of time (I'm assuming a couple years). Therefore it can only be uploaded by another party after the broadcaster ownership has expired.

At 8:01 Will Claye touches the outside of the sandpit with his hand while landing. I don't think that's a foul, not sure if the rules are exact about this. But it would be debatable if his hand's mark would be shorter than what he left in the sandpit.

Athletics coverage is an embarrassment. Local, regional and national newspapers don't print times or distances... And the leading bodies have no idea how to promote or regulate doping. I've loved athletics since I was a kid in the 80s. I was a good junior. If I knew I could be a millionaire and get caught cheating and keep the cash... I would have been a great athlete.
