    Still comedy gold all these years later. Damon and David were struggling to keep a straight face the whole time. The coolest part is that Men On Football got a higher rating than the Super Bowl halftime show that year.

    I remember this skit and this show. The skit was played at halftime of the Skins and Bills Super Bowl game. Hilarious. No way could they do this now, but it was so funny!

    My son fell down the stairs to my basement 4 weeks ago today & took him off life support at 4:35 & passed away at 4:43 AM on 12/21/2019, 8 minutes later he passed away. Thank you so much for showing these videos. Laughter does heal the soul. Wish they would do a reunion show. Thank you for putting laughter back in my heart.

    I know your pain.lost a child at 4yrs from cancer..the feeling of helplessness,the what if's or the why didn't i do this or notice that nearly killed me.it doesn't get better but it does get easier.i know he is with God,that's what gets me thru it.yes,,i questioned,pleaded,begged,got angry,screamed at God but in the end i know i will see him again

    We were watching the SB in a bar and when they showed this clip during halftime, almost everyone at the bar was on the floor laughing their asses off and a man who was on the bar fell off of it in uncontrollable fits. This comic feat has never been repeated.

    funny enough, we almost got that super bowl. super bowl 2 was packers/raiders. raiders beat the oilers in the afl championship game. never came any closer to happening (since by the time the packers made it back to the super bowl, oilers stunk, moved to tennessee and were about to become the titans).

    This wasn't the Super Bowl halftime show, which was airing on CBS. The Super Bowl halftime was "A tribute to Winter" with Gloria Estefan, etc. In Living Color aired a live episode on FOX and pulled all of CBS viewers away. The Men On Football skit was the final skit of the episode. There was a "Countdown Timer" in the corner when it was live.

    This was aired during the Super Bowl 26 halftime in 1992. The competition from FOX for the halftime audience prompted the NFL to get Michael Jackson for the halftime show in 1993.

    As a now 52 year old black man who then was on the DL and closeted: when I got with my gay friends, we let our hair (hypothetically speaking) down, and that’s how we talked back then amongst each other! That sketch nailed it! So when it aired we laughed our asses off then! And still today! Thanks for bringing us main stream!!

    +Brandon nonyadamnbidness, I recall that it was an amazing episode, and everyone had to be sure to watch it. We were even yelling outside to nearby neighbors in our condos with whom we exchanged bbq that night,"It's on! Turn the channel!" My family is Black, so we kept checking, while the neighbors were more concerned with football. Fun memory!

    This episode is the reason why the NFL decided to up the ante on their SB halftime shows. The following year, their act was Michael Jackson. Anything to keep all eyes locked on the entire broadcast

    This was the best half time show ever! I was in the Navy on shore duty during this superbowl. I was on watch during the game. Myself and the other watchstander had a tiny TV that we used to watch the Superbowl. (Yep, I know, you can't do that on watch but we did). Fox had advertised that there would be an "In Living Color" Half time show. So at half time we swapped to Fox. Once again... The Best Half Time Show ever! Too Bad other channels don't do the same nowdays! Sluggo

    In Living Color Hi-Jacked the Super Bowl half time. What a brilliant idea! They actually had a countdown clock so viewers would know when the game was back on. But for the entire halftime--they brought it. So good.

    Fun fact, this was the Super Bowl killer. When this aired it was done doing the Super Bowl halftime show and everyone tuned into In Living Colors. It's funny how after this the studios started to restrict the show's creators and 2-years later in Living Colors was off the air. I'm just saying!

    This show had amazingly hilarious routines and comedians and actors. Everyone of them was great. Of course I think my favorite was Damon Wayans, Kelly Coffield, Jim Carry, and David Allen Grier, Keenan Ivory Wayans was also extremely talented, he came up w this concept!!

    I miss In Living Color, it was the funniest show on tv and they got away with things that we can't today. I would laugh so hard that my asthma would always act up after the show, but it was worth it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    As funny as this was, sadly, this is where the wheels fell off for In Living Color. Fox got corporate and drove off the Wayans. Once the Wayans were gone, the show was doomed.

    Bryan Mathews ...no the show was actually doomed bc of inside fighting among its cast members...i saw an interview with one of the cast members cant remember his name now were he said their was infighting among cast bc they felt Keenan Wayons was using his family members in way to many of the skits which caused the shows demise...Tommy Davidson was doing the interview...Fox had nothing to do with show called driving them off...why wouldn't they want a top rated program to continue?

    James Vickers and you believe a guy who was entering rehab around the time that the Wayans walked off? Fox was trying to take full control over a masterpiece that Keenan created like just like the powers that be always do especially to successful blacks. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. That whole family was talented and Keenan found a way to use of ALL the cast members including his brothers and sister if you go back and actually look at the episodes.

    @petercox9 mad tv and snl air on Saturday in late night. In living color aired in weekday primetime. Differnt FCC rules. Kennan knows that. He has a reputation for being difficult to work with.

    According to Keenan Ivory Wayans the execs wanted to filter his writing skills/ and the things were being said verbally on the show. He said, basically he would leave HIS show prior to allowing anyone or anything to filter his beliefs or passion.

    One of the best things about these skits were when one guy would go too far and the other would break character and laugh. I miss the 80s when we could actually laugh. Today this skit would be in court room litigation for a decade.

    Then-NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue was pissed the next day when the ratings came through the fax. "Winter Magic" (the real Super Bowl XXVI halftime show) immediately became a bad memory, Michael Jackson was brought in the following year, and the rest they say is history.
