Men and the Conservative Vision | Senator Josh Hawley | EP 300

Dr Jordan B Peterson and Senator Josh Hawley discuss the leftist ideology surrounding men and their diminished worth, the current Republican swing as a result, and the potential future of American politics as we move towards the midterm elections.
Senator Hawley is recognized as one of the nation’s leading constitutional lawyers. He has litigated at the Supreme Court of the United States, the federal courts of appeals, and in state court, fighting for the people’s liberties. He previously fought Obamacare at the Supreme Court - and won - as one of the lead attorneys in the landmark Hobby Lobby case. Since taking office in 2019, Senator Hawley has been a leading champion in Congress for working families. He’s worked across the aisle to deliver protections for kids online, led the fight for direct payments to working people during the COVID-19 pandemic, and taken steps to crack down on predatory landlords. Currently, Senator Hawley is writing a book set for a 2023 release.
Dr Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: utm.io/ueSXh

Not like Biden and Dems.these are not good or fair and are only there for power and money. They are there only for themselves and their own agendas they are definitely not for the America.n people . @@dant3175 You seriously need to understand how your government works. Did all the Democrats who delayed the voting in 2016 with objections to those electors attempt a coup? That's the way it works, buddy. That is why there are ALWAYS alternate electors available to replace any that get disqualified after debate. The Dems stopped Hawley from debating. They are the ones that have been attempting a coup and it started in 2016 and continued for FOUR YEARS. The Steele Dossier was the beginning. The FBI offered Steele 1 million to get dirt on Trump which he could not do. HC and the DNC paid for it. The Obama Administration, including Joe Biden, approved it. They should all be in jail for that one which used the dossier to lie to the FISA courts to spy on Trump even after he was elected. Then they used it to impeach him and it was ALL fake and they knew it. That's your coup. The problem I have with Josh Hawley and EVERY member of congress is that they don't have the cajones, grit and integrity to do the right thing and have every one involved in the coup against Trump indicted. Now they are blaming Trump for J6 after he had to endure four years of a coup attempt and report after report of election fraud. There is not one person on the earth who would not believe them to be true after enduring four years of impeachments and lies. Don't make me laugh!

Dr. Peterson, I am a 66-year-old retired middle school teacher. My husband and I have raised four wonderful, successful people and cared for both of my parents in their declining years. I tell you this because, as you can see, I have been used to the fun, exciting, and often chaotic company of children, teens, and coworkers. My life suddenly changed as my health deteriorated fairly quickly so that now I am housebound and have very little interaction with the outside world. After my diagnosis, I fell into a pit of hopelessness and depression. I want you to know that I look forward to your show on Daily Wire every day. It gives me interesting and thought provoking insight that I find challenging for my brain health as well. Truly, your shows have saved my sanity and provided tools to overcome my depression. I cannot thank you enough! T

Josh Hawley has just recently came on my radar. And Frankly, I love this guy. He represents everything I believe a great representative should be. And to see the two of you having a real discussion about the things that truly matter in this world gives me such hope in the possibility of a wiser and more just society to raise my children in. To the point of slavery-which, being a white male, I’ve been taught that I dare not have an opinion on the subject, let alone it be known-I feel it is not a coincidence that one of the first things that was done to “ break a slave” was to destroy the family system. Separate and demoralize and physically beat a father in front of his wife and children. It was done in a brutal and physical manner then, but the same ideology and processes are still being implemented in a more subtle manner..thoughts?

You are absolutely right. They abolished OVERT slavery of one race in favour of a far more nefarious and detrimental COVERT slavery of every race through economics and a campaign of dumbing down the nation (I am not condoning either of these options). I do not believe that the emancipation proclamation was put forth WITHOUT some sort of secretive agenda at play. A huge blockade in perception is put in place by convincing the masses that we are the pinnacle of mankind's wisdom and accomplishments. This makes the "less than rational" mind believe whatever they are fighting for is righteous and nobody else's opinion counts. I have witnessed a MAJOR decline in civility, empathy, cooperation, human decency, fairness, intelligence and much, much more since my birth in the mid 1970's, here in southern Ontario. I don't know if I've veered off topic, but with all I have just said, one more thing stands out "like a belch at a banquet", there is a concerted effort to destroy the family unit and all that it represents. I fully agree with you, Josh Hawley KICKS ASS. We desperately need an army of Josh Hawleys in Canadian politics. Wishing all the best to you and yours, be well, friend.

What Jordan and Josh mention - the political landscape shifting to the right - has just happened in my historically left leaning city of Vancouver, Canada. This month we elected a mayor whose platform leans to the right and in addition, we elected every single member who ran with his party, from city counsellors to school board trustees. Our city is in chaos due to the far left policies that claimed to care for the poor and marginalized but in reality created a much worse situation for these people along with everyone else. Vancouverites are not dumb. We went out to vote, and change the direction of our city. I hope things will start to turn around for our city, for our people.

My biggest beef with the education system when I went through high school is being asked what do you want to be, rather than find out what you can be. We're all created equal but we're not all carbon copies of each other. Some people excel at pushing a pen while others can swing a hammer but most vary in their abilities to do a little bit of each. Going to college for mechanical engineering taught me a very hard lesson about not being as smart as I grew up thinking I was. I am still very intelligent, but I have come to terms with the fact that some people are more intelligent than I am. I am now happily working alongside engineers as a drafter.

I’m a constituent of Mr Hawley and I must admit I had fallen for the cheap cynicism that he described: my work doesn’t matter, my vote doesn’t matter, everything is corrupt. I watch all of Dr Peterson’s conversations and am always excited to hear what he and his guests have to say, but this was the first one I clicked on with that attitude of cynicism - “oh great, an American politician. Talking points and sound bites, here we go.” I’m so grateful, Mr Hawley, that you were here for an actual conversation, that you spoke your mind, admitted to not having a good answer for things and demonstrated a real love for the country and culture. I truly didn’t believe any politician thought that way anymore. I cannot remember who said, “if everything is political, Marx has already won.” And it’s with that attitude that I’m so skeptical of politics. But, Dr Peterson, because you approach politics from beneath - theology, philosophy, culture, science are the foundations and politics merely the application of those deeper pursuits - I’m able to see the importance of proper political science and why it’s not just the lobbyists’ playground. Thank you both!

They feel like their lives are hollow and the only reason they're here is to work until they die to feed the rich... As a younger man in today's world, I would have to say that many of my peers have not realized that ... to succeed takes planning, hard work, and true dedication. I would also say that many of the youth today are so enamored by the material things, that they get themselves deep into debt for stuff they do not need. Or an education that has no profitable future. They are also far too concerned about what other people think of them that they forget to think for themselves, and pursue the things that truly matter to them in life. There is a terrible effort to make our youth into mindless wage slaves, instead of providing them the environment to cultivate their skills and abilities to best serve themselves and their community. Perpetual victim status removes the onus of one's personal responsibility to be better and more competent citizens. It saddens me to the core... And I hope they can be saved before it gets out of hand, but i believe it will take a concentrated effort by our upstanding elders to mentor them.

I’m fact, we are in a war, Satan is very intelligent and he has his very intelligent people who work for him deceiving people. 1_ deceive: Make people believe there are no Satan, that he is an abstract concept that describes the evil in hearth peoples, 2_ trying to convince people that the Bible is a fairy tale. If you are interested I recommend you the book “a trip into the supernatural” from roger Morneau, an ex member of the satanic elite worshippers, that’s god mercy he came out and wrote a book.

Jordan Peterson, I know and have come to appreciate. You Josh Hawley, I did not know. I am so happy to see you here and brilliantly engaged with JP. What a fantastically great exchange this has been. This discussion is nothing short of brilliant and it's unfortunate that millions of Americans will never see it.

The extended interview was even more compelling than this public one. Glad I have DW+ so I can watch these, but a bit saddened that not everyone gets to hear the personal background chat with the guests as that’s one of Dr. Peterson’s biggest gifts. Always feels like a glimpse into an initial get-to-know-you therapy session and I love learning from even the questions he asks.

As you said, it is not a woman job to grow her husband. The tragedy comes when the husband tries to pull the woman down, regardless of the consequences. I grew up in a family where boys were thaught to protect and respect women. "The wife is the mother of your children". My mother was always on the side of my brother's girlfriends and he got a hard time if he behaved badly. But some men do not want to grow. I still cannot figure it why. Is it the culture, their mother, their personality? I kind of stopped trying to find out. Thank you for your confession.

The Honorable Senator from Missouri and honorable is not easy to put by a politician. He seems to me to truly be a class act. He seems to be a man that loves the truth and has a love for the divine truth that is Jesus Christ. He is a breath of fresh air and the kind of strong and principled man you’d want in leadership in a time of suffering or the good! This is a great interview and I always like how Josh Hawley can keep his cool and doesn’t have to cuss to voice his grievances!
