I love them all but I’m partial to bears, pandas, red pandas, big cats, eagles, horses, etc…

If you ever have an opportunity to make it to the Memphis zoo I definitely encourage it. It is a wonderful one and there are a lot of other really great things in Memphis also

They are extremely fascinating. Very different than other birds for sure. I’ve always found them to be very interesting

It will be very hot then so make sure to take advantage of the mister stations and also hydrate!! You can refill bottles are fountains throughout the park also!!

Bring a cooling towel! Heat and humidity here is beyond horrible in August here. There is a splash pad or something like that. I believe it just opened recently. Most importantly, be aware of your surroundings at all times during your visit. We want you to stay safe!!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will definitely bring a water bottle. I’m going as soon as they open up before it gets to unbearable. Living in Atlanta, early is the only time I do anything because of the heat and humidity. I might have to look up that cooling towels or a portable mister. I’ll definitely let you know how it went. Huge doesn’t even begin to explain lol it is so big I can understand why they have the trolleys that take you throughout that way it is more accessible to everyone

I cross through Memphis pretty frequently and so each time I go I try to do something different. It is a great city to explore

Thanks for coming along for the adventure! I think at this zoo Is certainly one that is doing a good job to educate and then also to allow people to see these beautiful creatures in a safe environment

Thank you so much! It was great to be able to see so many different kinds of animals and then also hear their stories. A lot of times whenever you go to assume you just look on and see the animals but never really know too much about them this year does a great job explaining more

I live in San Diego and I love the World Famous San Diego Zoo. If I’m lucky I’ll get to go in a couple of weeks. My favorite animals are the Apes.

No I didn’t do any of the additional excursions on this particular day because they did have a lot of school groups there. A lot of those were very overwhelmed and so I didn’t want to have to wait for extended amount of time to be able to interact. I will go back in the future whenever it’s not quite as crowded and get those cool interactions

I will have to look into that one I haven’t been to Omaha except passing through.

the wolves around Yellowstone didn't fade away--humans exterminated them out of fear--they didn't know the damage they were doing--the Memphis Zoo rocks big time!!!!

That's a really cool zoo! If I ever get down to Memphis I will have to take my little guy there. We plan on going to a zoo where my parents live right before school starts, as an end of summer trip kind of thing. My parents live about 2 hours from us it will be fun. And I just have to thank you for using your platform to bring awareness to global warming and climate change and conservation and helping the endangered species survive. Not too many people really take it seriously and it's good to see somebody with the platform that you have bring awareness. It means a lot to my kids who we are leaving this Earth too and other people's children too I'm not trying to leave them out. 😁🙏 I don't know which animal I love the most I love all animals equally but I am very fearful of snakes lizards and birds LOL

I think you would really enjoy this one! And yes I always will use my platform to advocate for taking care of the world around us. I think that a lot of times people lose track of the fact that we don’t just live in this moment there are moments that will come after us and the people will have to live with consequences created by our generations. So I want to do as much as I possibly can to try to at least raise awareness for the small things that we can do to possibly help.

The okapi is actually related to the giraffe. I grew up in San Diego with literally one of the most gorgeous zoos in the world...so lucky. We also had sea world and my favorite animal is the penguin.
