    I like how you look at things. Also, it might avoid some confusion if the string sets are referred to as Top, Middle, Bottom. Only because we're already using "thick and thin" as the two strings in each string set. This tutorial, and the triad one especially, will be how I look at the fretboard from now on! Thanks

    Interesting method, but like other methods it still comes down to learning note names on the neck

    ​@@LearningGuitarSecrets sir..hi..im 60..been "playing" around since 1986... Saw Van Hagar live..Queensryche (my favorite)..met Tesla..but never understood how they did what they did..until now.. Thank u.. I just got my first electric in years..i was gifted a Line 6 Spider 5 60 watt amp a couple of weeks ago...waiting for my guitar to be set up.at Guitar Center.. Then.. i actually have a map to understand the instrument.. Thank you. By the way..im a lefty..im doomed. Lol

    Just picked this up by accident, but I'm glad I found it as its a great little tool to add to my guitarist's mental toolbox. I like patterns. I also liked the beginning of the explanation 'cos I've always thought that trying to visualise the fretboard from the 6th string starting with an E didn't make sense to my feeble aged brain 😂 so thanks for the lightbulb moment.

    This is a very clear and well explained method for learning the note positions. Finding them quickly and instinctively when improvising takes more work of course, but this is an excellent intro to the subject 😊
