It takes place in the 1870s-1880s (I wonder if they timed it to have each season take place exactly 100 years ago)...it's SUPPOSED to be old!

Yes!! I’m around 40…. When I was a kid women in their 50s were “golden girls” not that they didn’t look amazing but they didn’t try to look 25 either. They had white hair, weren’t a size 000 and didn’t look totally fake. Now….ugh. It’s like you’re not allowed to age because all of these celebrities everyone sees don’t….yet a lot of them, even with their fortune and best doctors look ridiculous with plastic surgery. Thank you Melissa. You still look gorgeous but thank you for being you!

I mean, I like her -- but she has had LOTS of work done on her face, including a nose job right after Little House. Don't be fooled, lol. BUT she does look good.

@@smudgeeee6259 She's had a lot of plastic surgery. A few years ago she looked "weird." Seems things have settled in a bit and maybe she's chilled out or is getting better/more subtle work. But when people say "aging naturally," I have to laugh, lol. Her face has been WORKED ON, big time, from the time she was a very young woman.

When they get work done the irony is they look older, comical and silly. I don’t understand the popularity in having fat lips. It doesn’t look good.

Ms. Gilbert, thank you for all your years on the Prairie. Three generations of my family loved it. Grandparents, parents, my siblings and myself! BTW... You look WONDERFUL! Loreal needs to add you to their list of stunning women in their TV adds.

Loved her on Little House. Even then she was such a great actor. I never get tired of watching that program…classic TV.

I love that she is a mature lady now who is comfortable in her own skin and secure in her accomplishments. I loved watching Little House on the Prairie as a kid and I am so glad to see that "Half Pint" is doing so well.

Still my favorite show of all time!

I'm old enough to have watched each episode as a youngster. When I had kids, I bought digital versions on Amazon and we watched one episode of Little House each night as part of their bedtime routine. Cherished memories ❤❤

My 12 year old daughter and I are watching the little house on the prairie series and are on the second season! I’ve always loved the books and the show! Can’t wait to read her new book too!

Little House & Bonanza are probably in the Top 5 best shows of all time in my opinion. Melissa Gilbert feels like I know her from school or something bc I grew up watching her on TV. Oh how I adore MELISSA GILBERT! I have watched almost all 9 seasons of LHoTP. You don’t know how amazing it is until you watch it through adult eyes. This is the type of series our GenX craves still. Those feel good, memories as a child that sooth the senses. When I watch #Littlehouseonthepraire again, I never tire of the sweet series that always had a good message, even some very relatable life lessons that are especially important still today.

I work in an ER and after 3day 12hour shifts, the news channel, and text messaging with other news, I escape in the midst of 2022 , to the flat lands of Walnut Grove. My anxiety and depression melts away and I’m whisked off into a moment of peace. To say I have lived In Minnesota and neverrrrrrr put the two together. But I was young, and focused on other things. Thank you “Laura”! You have always been my favorite. And you said something so profound in this interview. “I had to leave LA to age”. Wow!!! The things we must do to accept the blessings of growing older. I will be getting your book!

I had a crush on Laura when the show was running. I was a young kid and loved her, pigtails, buckteeth and all.
