I miss the 90s and love Mel C's voice! These songs take me right back to my teens!

When this song came out I was really sick. Some doctors said I'm not gonna recover, it was really a hard time. The only thing that could calm me was this song. Back then I couldn't speak English but the spirit of this beautiful song gave me so much positive energy. Thank you Melanie, you and this song have forever become an important part of my life

I miss the 90s. We didn't have to worry about climate change, biodiversity collapse, huge inequality, Trumpism, Covid. We believed we had choices then and all the Spice Girls gave us hope. Maybe was my youth but if felt more innocent then. And lets face it, Mel C def had the BEST voice.

This should have had 100's of million views, it's a classic.

I was in a small village in west Africa when this song dropped. How time flies. It is 2023 already. The flavour and appeal that life had back then is gone today. Everyone is angry, fearful and easily offended.

Without sounding Corny....i was in a children's home growing up and had a cd of some sort and this was on it and it was literally my favourite song...i felt like the lyrics spoke to me and here I am nearly 15 years later still giving it a listen. Adore this song.

The 90s life seemed so simple then. Being born in the 80s to be old enough to listen and be apart of this decade was really amazing. Miss it.

I grew up in the UK in the 90s / 00s. I now live in New Zealand, This song makes me so nostalgic and homesick it almost hurts. All these images and moments running through my mind. I'd give anything to relieve just a few days in that time. Life is very precious and once time is gone it's gone, and no man or God can bring it back.

@@sweetlittlewilly4745 Oh yes it's incredible that is really is as beautiful as the pictures. It has stunning beaches, mountains, and oceans. Like anywhere it has it's problems thoguh. One thing I used to struggle with is the lack of the heating in houses and poorly insualted houses. Temperature wise it's like living in a caravan.

I like her voice. Very unique. Finally found this song... I only remembered the line "I have learnt my lesson well" but managed to track down the song.

One of songs I remember the first time I heard it, in my friend’s dad’s car as he gave us a lift to Uni on 1st day of second year. It just blew me away at how good Mel C could sing.

As a 90s born and sadly still undeveloped now in my late 20s woman, who has listened to a significant amount of music in the more than a quarter of a century I've been alive, I can say Mel C's voice is instantly recognisable! This is a lovely song I was reminded of after listening to Fearne's 90s show briefly on BBC Sounds. Today's music is getting worse in many ways so nice to see a fully clothed woman simply singing pure words!

That debut album from Mel was amazing. There's no filler on there,all top notch tunes.

Her voice is brilliant. Without a doubt the best singer in the Spice Girls...and they knew it!

Lyrically Melanie C is one of the most talented out there, all her songs you can relate to and have meaning, especially the more ballardy songs like this, you'll get yours, melt etc. Don't mean to sound gloomy but all my family knows the time I pass on, this is the song I want played at my funeral, it means so much to me, just like the beautiful person singing it. Her book is amazing. I just finished it. I went back and watched the film clip for 'Things will never be the same' (and it's my favourite song of hers). She was tiny! Why anyone thought she was fat in the film clip is beyond me. Anyway, she's awesome.
