I prefer the original Whitney Houston version of this song with Whitney Houston but this is a great rendition and compliments and makes me appreciate both versions. At least someone did a remake and it's great. Gratefully, Carla ❤😊

I might get a little crap for this but I don't care. I'm a big metal head. Sludge, grunge; give it to me. But when I was just a wee lad, my mum played and sang this as an opener at a concert and received a standing ovation. I have never forgotten that feeling of pride I had in her. I don't know how this video ended up on my home screen, but thank you for bringing back a really beautiful memory from my childhood.

Out of the five Spices, Mel C and Emma are by far the best singers, they carried the group vocally. What’s more, they seem to be the nicest and most grounded of the group, and it shows!

Agreed! They have aged so gracefully and their voices complement each other so well! I was so moved by the way the two of them sang this song. Her strong singing backed up by Emma’s soft touch. I loved the original but this has now become my go to version for this song. Really rolled back the years

Not only Melanie C is the best Spice Girls singer but she's also the most creative and artistic. She never cared about charts and sales and as a true artist she always took risks by facing every kind of music, even rock and musical theater. A huge amount of talent yet so underrated.

+nicky aguilera You're completely out of your mind instead. As an established fact Mel C is the best when it comes to talent (vocals, writing, performing). Emma has a limited singing voice compared to Melanie's. Melanie is a complete singer, capable of facing every kind of music. She has the biggest range in the group and the most evident skills (runs, melismas, sustained long notes and whatnot). You prefer her sweet tone over Mel's powerful and soulful tone but that's totally subjective, tone is subjective! I like both of their tones, yet I prefer Melanie's with no question. "Skill" is an objective quality instead. Moreover, none of the other Spices wrote lyrics as intricate as those from Northern Star or Beautiful Intentions and Mel is clearly the only one able to entertain a crowd on her own singing for two consecutive hours and with nousing lip-sync or back-up dancers. These are all facts. As for beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. I find both Mel and Emma to be extremely hot, yet bringing up beauty in a comparison regarding singers/artists isn't a smart move, you sound very superficial. Also, this duet isn't meant to be a comparison or a rivalry between the two, both of them actually complemented each other in the song. they sound amazing together. Enjoy the damn song and grow up.

Yes, I realise it's 12 years ago, very classy ladies, and a beautiful song. Thank you :). Enjoyed this to the point of tears.

Their voices blend so well together, and I thought the end was sweet when they hugged.

Mel C has got to be one of the most underrated singers of our generation. Could listen to her voice forever over a lot of the bland autotuned bores that are constantly in the charts.

Mel C's voice is a bit too nasal for my liking, but at least she IS actually able to sing.

My heart cannot handle the absolute gorgeousness of Mel C and Emma Bunton. Most beautiful singing.

i feel like these 2 girls have been the closest together, they have grown into amazing ladies. they have come far since the spice girls, it's just amazing how they were a popular music group in the 90's and now all the spice girls are mothers.

I feel this song for the first time in years.... it's about wanting to be together but not being able to be together. It's about heart break and sacrifice. She planned it that way. That is how careers on-line are made. "Sporty and baby" - no-one thought that in the early days of The Spice Girls. Even now Sporty is the "ugly one". I think she is gorgeous with the best voice but men! On QI (or one of them) they continually refer to her as the fifth Spice Girl (ie the one men would not go to bed with no matter what). However, the original comment has one truth. Emma is gorgeous and nice and has a voice I like hearing and Mel C is the same. To me Mel C might be the one men called ugly spice but she is gorgeous; funny and authentic and the most talented.

I saw Mel C live in the early 2000's and she was absolutely awesome. Emma Bunton, an absolute stunner and a beautiful voice.

Don't know what it is about Mel C,s voice but it melts me everytime I hear her sing. She really has great vocal talents. This song by Mel and Emma is truly beautiful, the harmonies they produce together is amazing.

I love these two! Emma is all grown up..... ❤️

The way their voices sound together is so pure and beautiful. I have just heard this first time, it melted me. They are both so gorgeous too, Mel a stunning brunette and Emm the dazzling blonde. Both killed it and equally they have it all. I love them.

Emma and Melanie C. Have been my favorite Spice Girls! Emma has a pure gentleness about her and I've always loved Melanie C. sporty side. Such lovely, beautiful voices and faces! The end of the song brought tears to my eyes!

Great to see these two performing this together. Emma Bunton was always pretty. But Mel C is a revelation here having blossomed into a really beautiful woman. And a far cry from the earlier sporty image.
