Great video, need more knowledge of how to identify the different (110/ 24v/ $1/$5/ flash port boards}

It's funny to watch now, as I had a MEI Bill validator that was dead, I tested the ESR of the cap, it looked high, so bad, and I replaced it, but still had the long blinking light, would be nice to go though the checks you go through to see what's wrong with the 20% that don't have a bad cap... I ended up getting another used one, kept the best parts of both and got it working. I tossing the non-working parts once done, as I didn't want to get more.

Good job, we have a slew of spare good parts so we can isolate a problem fast by swapping parts. We like to save time. :)

What type of De Solder gun is that ?

So what if you have a dead mei and have replaced the 470mf cap?

my MEI validators its got one flash and lens the bill path clean inside out took the whole thing apart and still the same , by the way change the capacitor 470 mfc 35v. any help ?

I would say that the upper sensor has failed, could be the lower but the upper is more common to fail.

Do you have a manual repair or can let me know what type and location of the sensors please?
