The great Khan Saab had cast such a spell on me that it will be very difficult to come out of it during this lifetime ! Oh, what a terrible loss it was ! It was as if, the ROOH( SPIRIT) of ghazal gayiki had gone, along with the sad demise of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab ! Sirji, we are missing you badly ! Mehdi Hassan Sahib has no parallel. Lata Ji said' Unn key gallay mein Bhagwan Rehta hai'. How true. Can a human being be so sweet and perfect. Hearing him, you are straight transported to some mystic destinations. I wish I could have penned some poetry and was rendered by Mehdi Hassan. What an honor would it have been for me? I could have exchanged all my wealth for this one thing that I could cherish all my life.

Dear bro.keep one rule in mind that never Mehdi hassan sb ghazal in a singing competition bcoz it is almost impossible to sing a ghazal of mehdi sb with perfection. Always sing Rafi sb .kishor da or other singer. any ways best of luck

Verinder Partap Singh Chauhan Saab, It's unfair to belittle someone in our attempt to idolize the other. I have been a diehard fan of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab all along since 1978 when I came into his contact through his divine creations and will remain so till I bid adieu to this world. It's an altogether different issue that the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was in a class of his own as an exceptional exponent of ghazal gayiki and was recognised as a legend in his lifetime across the globe for his impeccable achievements. But it's unfair to drag the names of other greats like Rafi Saab or Kishore Da or for that matter, any other singer of repute into controversy unnecessarily.
