I have Lupus (High ANA Titer) & several additional illnesses and I ran a low grade fever for TWENTY years --- UNTIL I stopped poisoning myself. I invested in a Megahome Distiller almost two years ago and I use it approx every other day. I also changed to an an Organic (no pesticide/preservatives, etc) plant based diet and AVOID CHEMICALS in bath/body & cleaning products. I take Iodine, Magnesium, Potassium and a daily multi-vitamin but our body assimilates PLANT nutrients the best so I try very hard to eat MOSTLY raw organic fruit & veg and nuts & whole grains. My labs are now normal including my Hypothyroid & Cholesterol tests. I learned the hard way (by sacrificing my health) that I can't indulge in a FOOD "reward" system (junk food: take out, processed carbs, bakery items, candy, chips) that contain ingredients our body CAN NOT DIGEST! Food is FUEL & NUTRITION to grow HEALTHY CELLS. I "reward" myself with Organic Half n Half & Coconut Sugar or Agave in my morning coffee and a dessert on occasion but once I switched to an Organic plant based diet; I no longer even THINK about junk food. I ended up tossing out the junk food because it had expired. I just stopped reaching for it because I no longer DESIRED it. When our body receives ADEQUATE nutrition; THIS is what happens. BTW: If you are on daily anti-acids and/or Proton Pump Inhibitors for heartburn/reflux - STOP THEM NOW and address the ROOT CAUSE! My 40 year heartburn problem continued after I made diet changes & weaned myself off of Nexium in exchange of a Betaine HCL Supplement. I had to take a LOT of HCL to get a meal digested. Our body can not assimilate food into nutrition UNLESS our stomach has ADEQUATE amounts of HCL acid in order to digest it first! This is IMPOSSIBLE if you are popping anti-acids & taking PPI. There are current class action lawsuits for Nexium, Prilosec, Prevacid because they were only safe for SHORT TERM use -- while an ulcer heals and we CORRECT our bad diet habits & nutritional deficiencies. I eventually ran across an article about illnesses due to Iodine deficiency so I decided to try an Iodine Protocol (6 drops of Lugol's 5%, twice daily) because I had already increased my Distilled Water intake (1/2 my body weight in ounces) to eliminate the possible hydration issue which ALSO mimics a TON of illnesses! The addition of Iodine was the solution. I no longer have to take Betaine HCL Supplements & no more heartburn/reflux. Also, I was stunned to realize that the additional Iodine helped my Neuropathy pain tremendously! An Iodine deficiency sets off a chain reaction that impacts every body function and our seafood is no longer a safe iodine source considering recent tests show high levels of radiation (oil/fracking wastewater is RADIOACTIVE!!), arsenic, mercury, lead, etc). I can not stress how IMPORTANT gut health is so I also ferment Sauerkraut & Pickles. BTW: if you aren't having a bathroom "elimination" break EVERY DAY -- you are NOT eating the RIGHT food. BMs are a MAJOR way for our body to eliminate TOXINS and they should happen on a DAILY basis. Sorry, if this is too much info (: Peace!

Some people have complained that the glass container has broken various time for them. I think this is because of the design of the metal strips and the handle wrapping around the glass adds inward pressure when its full of water and we lift it up it would sooner or later stress the elements of the glass and break. To avoid this the best practice is to grab the jar with both hands for any occasion.

I have a Megahome, and I just grab the handle with one hand, and put my other hand under the bottom of the container. Yes, it does seem a but fragile, but it'll be fine if you handle it with care. I've never has an issue with it, but then I tend to take appropriate care of my things that are breakable, especially glass. We all know glass is fragile, so you can't really blame glass for breaking when you're not careful with it.

Damn well that’s sad. This guy died. Hasnt uploaded in awhile and my research online confirmed it. RIP. Thank you for sparking a change in my life and many others.

I think the idea of not drinking people's recycled urine and all their medication which you get from tap water, and not purchasing plastic bottle after plastic bottle with bottled water, means the distiller win.

Unfortunately, unless I'm mistaken, he never made it. However, the information that he offered us here and elsewhere is absolutely some of the very best information on the web. There is no question that he made significant headway. His insights are extremely valuable and with his great mind and learning skills, he put up a fight that was admirable and remarkable. Lung cancer is one of the worst. As for terminal lung cancer? Well, as far as I can tell, it's like an instant death sentence. If his fight had been a boxing match, then this guy is Rocky Balboa. His family should be proud. I am going to personally study everything that he put out - particularly with regards to diet. There's no question in my mind that there are plenty of gold nuggets there. I think his research into water distillation is outstanding. His findings, sound. May he find perfect peace. May his family find happiness and laughter. The information is good. May this video stay online for many years, helping humanity to find a cure for lung cancer and all cancers. Thank you, Wayne Helmore.

I knew Wayne. He trained me as a salesman many years ago. He was an exceptional salesman and a very succesfull business man. I hadn't seen him for years. This and other content relating to his struggle became visibke to me on you tube. I have no opinion on his beliefs regarding water and other things following his diagnosis. I was sad to find out he had lost his battle. This is indeed Wayne though in my humble opinion at his best.. presenting.. Demonstrating and communicating. Rest in peace Mr Helmore.

I have bought the water pure distiller this year 2022, the design is much better, there is an off/ on switch on the side, also the lead for the fan is shorter. The top on the glass jug is removable. I’m extremely pleased with the results for my distiller. It appears they have taken notes on your critique and used it to improve their device. Thank you for your video and sincerely hope your health keeps improving.

Some people on here have got a very low tolerance of music I find the music quite relaxing actually and it helps me to take him everything what your says thank you so much for this information I'm really happy that you are cancer free

I've never had any issues since. I noticed a marked improvement in my overall health immediately. No, it does not. You put in the same volume of water, 4 liters. The difference is that it is pre-boiled instead of cold water, which saves time for the water to be distilled for about an hour. Saves time = saves energy = saves money.

It always takes energy to boil water. Using solar energy is perhaps a good tip if the goal is only to save energy. But unfortunately very bad tip when the goal is to get the job done within a reasonable time (no more than 5-6 hours). My tip was never to save energy. It was to get the job done faster. I have exactly the same water distiller and have been using it for about 12 years now and therefore know how it works. It has a very low power, which means that it cannot boil water so quickly. Therefore, it is smarter to use a kettle with a higher power that can boil water faster. Then you save about an hour and you get the job done an hour faster. This and nothing else was my tip. But unfortunately, there will always be guys (who do not even have a water distiller) who try to master me with "smart" tips because they think they know better than me who have used this water distiller for many many years now.

​@@Eliketi It takes about 7 minutes and 35 seconds to boil 4 liters of water with two boilers. Then it only takes 5 hours and 30 minutes to distill. Destill from cold water it takes 6 hours and 45 minutes at least. Yet not all water is distilled (about 3 dl water is left), because it's recommended.

Megahome is the BEST. I`ve been using a Megahome distiller for almost two years now. I`m very happy with it. I add a pinch of Himalayan salt to the distilled water b4 drinking it. I use vinegar to clean / descale the inside of the boiling chamber.

+Jared Carter Distillation removes all the toxic nasties from the water but it also removes all the beneficial salts and minerals. By adding a pinch of himalayan salt to the distilled water jug you are adding the beneficial minerals back in to it. Plus, the water tastes much better.

Good to see someone advocating better water. Good on Wayne on your personal journey. To help restructure the water i pour it into a glass jar by the window to get the sun light onto it and i pour it from a higher level to oxygenate it. It tastes good and like similar comments doesn't need anything added. Drink when thirsty and eat your water by having a high raw plant based human diet :)

the lid of the destiller on the right does come of, you've got to turn it and then pull. Just that you know :)

I started drinking only distilled water a few months ago and it has helped me tremendously. I don't know if its related, but I was able to stop taking my autoimmune medication. I don't add minerals back into my water though. I have just been eating more whole foods with natural mineral suplimentation and I only store my distilled water in glass. I avoid plastic containers.

Cats are carnivores, dogs are omnivores and humans and primates are frugivores. Humans have the most senstive digestive systems which are only really designed to digest and use raw fruit and fruit like vegetables from seeds and a few nuts and tender greens.

lukivah That was sharp thinking ! ... just drink the distilled water get your nutrition minerals excetera from food consumed. Attempt to eat organic as much as possible. And do lots of vitamin D3, because vitamin D deficiency is rampant and I can tell you personally that D3 is an incredible understated vitamin. Now if 1 is to go by a personal realization as in getting fever blisters due to stresses in daily life it stops them right away and will not even allow them to run their course... Stresses such as colds or lack of sleep, Etc can cause an inflammation to occur... I personally take vitamin D3 in the morning and in the evening before going to bed or anytime throughout the day if I wish, because you cannot overdose on vitamin D3, it just passes in your urine, what you do is build up a very powerful immune defense, as an example there's been a rash of Friends getting laid up for 2 to 3 days because of the flu, whereas I experienced some sniffles and maybe a little tired like a cold. I purchased D3 online, my my brand is "sports research" organic D3 great price 5000 IU's per volume per gel tab whereas local stores only provide 1000 IU's per gel tab and cost much more... I'm going to be purchasing a home/4 litre distiller myself within the week versus buying distilled water off the shelf. Although even in plastic jugs it's better, far better than filtered water or tap water or whatever that liquid garbage that is spewing out of the faucets... May Jesus Christ influence your good intent in your life.

Your TDS test is not conclusive. I have a Make Water Pure water distiller and it produces 0ppm distilled water every time. You will get a high reading such as your 18ppm TDS reading in this video if you have not rinsed the carbon filter upon first use or if it has not had a full clean cycle. A little misleading. A water distiller will hit 0-2ppm everytime unless an external factor is contributing to contamination such as dirt, no clean cycle or carbon filter that has not had a full clean cycle after being switched or first use. Someone reviewing on behalf of megahome will have you believe the best and only machine to buy is a megahome. The truth is a water distiller is a really simple machine and as long as stainless steel is used internally for the metal parts, there's not much else quality wise you can do to produce 'better quality' distilled water.

I have had my Magahome for years runs like a beast so reliable awesome and I get a reading of 0.00PPM.

I’ve had the expensive ones and the $50 ones. They all work the same and they all end up testing the same. I like using a four hour timer. This leaves exactly 1 inch of water at the bottom. It makes cleaning a lot easier as the chemicals do not bake on the bottom. You are welcome for that tip. It is a lifesaver.

RIP passed away on September 4, 2016. Wayne's advice about distilled water is still good though. Dr. Berg argues that if you have cancer (or any sickness) one thing you should consider is water fasting as much as possible.

Thank you for making this video. I have been using the distiller on your left for many years and I like them, not noisy, I get 2 ppm readings. The water reservoir has broken twice, once I payed $100 for a replacement, then I thought it was too expensive, so I have been using just a glass pitcher. The only problem with this model is that it keeps breaking. My first one broke after a couple of years, and now my second one did as well after like 5 years. It still turns on and boils the water but then turns off before distilling anything. That is why I am looking for something different. I called the company, but their contact number has a message that the voice mail box is full and disconnects me. Besides water make your own probiotic fermented foods for your health. I invite you to my channel for instructions on how to make apple cider vinegar, sauerkraut, coconut milk, kefir, etc.

It's true I've a Megahome, and after 4 or 5 years, it started doing that. It boils and turns off.

As a fellow cancer survivor, I'm pleased to see that you appear to be doing well. However, I wanted to help clarify water TDS readings ("soft water"/"hard water") vs. "contamination". While low TDS values DO tend to indicate higher water quality and purity, simply put, a TDS meter only measures water _conductivity,_ which is affected by the dissolved ionic mineral content of the water (calcium, magnesium, sulfates, etc.). In _GENERAL,_ the desire to have lower TDS in water is because it cleans better (hence water softeners), it doesn't leave as many deposits and/or scale inside coffee makers, clothes irons, boilers, etc. In other words, most of the things that "make" drinking water have high TDS readings are NOT necessarily bad. Spring water tends to have a high dissolved mineral content and therefore high TDS values, yet it is still considered by most to be healthy and safe to drink. Conversely, it is also possible to have water with low TDS valus but it still contains nasty crap like xenoestrogens (bisphenol-a, bisphenol-s and the host of other endocrine disruptors). *THAT'S* the stuff we've all gotta be careful about. THAT'S the stuff that causes cancer along with a whole litany of other health problems. My point? I just don't want people to think that drinking water with a high TDS (because it contains calcium and/or magnesium) is harmful. It's NOT, necessarily. Likewise, it's possible to have distilled water with zero or near zero TDS values yet still be contaminated with carcinogenic VOC's such as TCE (trichloroethylene, etc.) that are boiled off along with the water only to be redissolved back into it during the condensation process. Distraction is bad and knowledge is power. But that knowledge also requires wisdom to know when and where to *apply* it.

Wayne - congratulations on beating cancer and a great video. Probably the video that's pushed me to finally go out and buy a water distiller.

I switched from bottled water to tap water assuming I was doing the right thing. I thought I was getting important minerals that were filtered out in bottled water. I have been very sick for almost two years since switching to tap water I have been EXTREMELY sick! I had no idea until recently that it's the water! I know the bottled water isn't much better because another reason I switched over is because I was getting many migraines from the plastic bottles. This is a great video! Thanks!

I have both machines. To be honest they both read the same tds about .003. The second one distills faster and was about 130.00 dollars cheaper! Oh and never remineralize the water distilled water pulls out inorganic minerals from the body the ones that cause disease and leaves the organic minerals in the ones you need. Start eating healthy that's where you get organic minerals from!

I bought the cheaper machine on eBay be careful of the delivery time. I first bought one that was about 80 dollars but the shipping time was like two month then I canceled it and bought 3 more at different times that were about 93 dollars and they work great! The MegaHome I bought from Amazon and that was 230.00

Great video mate, just ordered the megahome today and I'm looking forward to drinking clean water for the first time in 35 years. I've heard that we don't need to add minerals into water because the body knows what to do and how to use it.

He stated that the megaphone runs cooler than the other unit. Of course it has less power and takes longer to distill the water. The heat given off by the condenser unit is a function of how much heat the distiller must dissipate from the steam. So if you are distilling faster more heat must be extracted. This is not a negative, as stated in the video, but rather a positive feature. At least it is a positive if you want to distill your water faster.

I bought the cheapest option the "Water Distiller ZB-1" for £45.96 and bought a glass jug for 23.49£. It makes water with 0 PPM TDS even though the first times we cleaned it we scratched it with the green sponge and after it had a metallic taste. To get rid of it had to distill one cup of vinegar and top-up the rest of the tank with water, throw that away then boil on tank full of water to get rid of the taste and throw that away too , of course remove the carbon/charcoal filter. And now it has a tiny sand grain size place, where the stainless steal coating is completely striped off and you can see the darker metal and it still makes water with 0 ppm...

Stainless steel doesn't have a coating, so you have bought a piece of crap, and that's why it was so cheap. Stainless steel is used with most food machines as it doesn't rust. Your knives and forks are all stainless steel, unless you buy plastic of course.

Get your vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables not from the chemicals delivered in a plastic bottle.

You will have to supplement to get minerals. The planet has a mineral depletion issue due to commercial farming not recycling the soil properly. They are not replenishing by planting certain plants that would provide the minerals or put ashes of older wood trees that contain minerals like they used to do in the early 1900's and earlier. Instead it's the good old animal urine to provide nitrogen to make plants grow. There is no minerals in the urine. You can google the world map that is showing how depleted the world is regarding several minerals. In 1950's you can get a enough minerals in a plate of vegetables but now you have to practically eat a case of the same vegetable to get the same level of minerals form 1950's. That's a fact and documented.

I love my Megahome! I spent a few dollars more and got the SUS316 grade stainless steel for better corrosion resistance. I find a teaspoon of Himalayan salt improves the flavour. I also keep the carafe resting on a magnetic base to help restructure the water... I can't prove that actually does anything but it certainly doesn't hurt. In the near future I'm going to experiment with running the water through a vortex or tumbling device (homemade though, not one the $400 devices)... I might be kooky but I'm not crazy - lol!

Nice review. Thanks. I hope you're still in good health. 1 thing I'd point out that you didn't mention in your review: VOCs -- volatile organic compounds. Unlike TDS, VOCs can transfer from tap water to the finished product because they vaporize and then reform in the condensation/distilled water. It's recommended to use an activated charcoal post-filter (it fits in the nozzle housing of the distiller). What I do is pre-filter with an RV charcoal filter so the water going into the distiller has been filtered, and then I use a post-filter activated charcoal packet that they sell for these distillers. I also feel that an on/off switch is important because otherwise sparks often fly when you pull the plug, especially on the higher power units. And that's never a good thing. Lastly, I use an inexpensive countdown timer which on my unit requires about 4:10 to distill 4 liters and still leave about 1.5" in the bottom. That way I don't get the burnt on crud on the bottom and it makes it a lot easier to keep clean and new looking. All I have to do after it's done is pour in half a cup of vinegar and let it sit in the warm water for 5 or 10 minutes, swish it around with a paper towel and a wooden spoon, and it's like new. (I've also used citric acid and that works as well.) NOTE: The average TDS of my tap water is only 150, so it's considerably less than yours at over 450. So bear that in mind.

thanks, I was looking for this exact detailed explanation. In certain scenarios it may make sense to pour RO water into the distiller. It's cheap doesn't need electricity although it requires filter change twice a year. There's other surprising info from so called Distiller experts that do not recommend to use glas containers to collect the distilled water. It may act as a kind of acid solving silicate from the glas. I found relatively inexpensive 3l borosilicate glas aka laboratory glas container, even better would be DURAN glas which is kind of second generation borosilicate glas developed by SCHOTT in Mainz/Jena Germany, but almost doubles the price. a countdown timer was a no brainer. It seems 7 years later all the many different brands are the same beside the plastic housing. I bought one via ebay for €70 including shipping from Prague. Several vendors on Amazon wanted €189, no kidding. Re. the charcoal filter in the nozzle: this is mainly designed for the US market and it's chlorinated water. We do not need that in Europe as we do not need to make our tap water smell like a swimming pool :). I got this info from a sales rep of distiller machines.

I bought a Makewaterpure distiller recently but it arrived damaged, so I returned it and am looking at a Megahome model, though after testing my water it was 59ppm so I'm wondering if I should get one.

what the actual fuck? negatively charged water? if you aren't eating food with your distilled water, or eating food around the time you drink then you are hurting yourself. you have to replace your electrolytes in your body somehow. have you never trained in a sport in the sun for a long time? have you never compared your energy levels after training with plain water vs gatorade? think of what you are doing to yourself if you don't consume electolytes. if you were crossing a desert without food you would need distilled water fortified with electrolytes, not plain distilled water. a pinch of salt per gallon should be sufficient

just add some minerals. Real water has minerals it collects from bouncing off rocks and sand, etc. Out bodies have adapted to that, just just in case add some minerals.

Does anyone add sea salt in their distill water?

the heater element is in the base of the steel heating container. The top unit contains a spiral condenser tube. The electric fan above the condenser draws air over the condenser to cool it. The Waterpure jug lid is removable, it just needs to be rotated a quarter turn to release it. The Waterpure does also have an on/off switch. It also accommodates use of small carbon filter bags in its spout, which can be purchased separately on ebay etc.. All the best to you in the future Wayne.

Never re-mineralize the water. There is no point. We get 95% of the minerals from food, and the rest from water... maybe. Distilled water removes inorganic materials stuck in your body, and putting minerals back, means the water will not clean you inside. The taste is great without anything in it. Overall good informational video.

You will have to supplement to get minerals. The planet has a mineral depletion issue due to commercial farming not recycling the soil properly. They are not replenishing by planting certain plants that would provide the minerals or put ashes of older wood trees that contain minerals like they used to do in the early 1900's and earlier. Instead it's the good old animal urine to provide nitrogen to make plants grow. There is no minerals in the urine. You can google the world map that is showing how depleted the world is regarding several minerals. In 1950's you can get a enough minerals in a plate of vegetables but now you have to practically eat a case of the same vegetable to get the same level of minerals form 1950's. That's a fact and documented.

TGtonk...half true. Distilled water vibrates on the same negative electric charge as humans. So it is scientifically impossible to harm you. Distilled water only attacks inorganic minerals which is the stuff our body DOES NOT need.

and use only natural brush / bristles to clean your distiller and jug. no sponges!!!!

does the meghome have a filter to eliminate the chlorine? What is in the megahome unit that makes it much cleaner than another unit?

Great comparison video, my friend has the megahome one and loves it but does not use any mineral supplements to treat it afterwards as he says organic minerals are in food and not needed in water, saying that, he does a little fasting for five days now and then and only uses distilled water but the rest of the time he varies his water intake with tap water now and then, are water in n Ireland is not too bad last time I checked but that was a while ago, I will do another check later to see if it is still that way although I think I will purchase the megahome anyway, thanks again.

I phoned him up to find out where he got his, he said he ordered it online, last time I checked Bangor's water it was excellent, around 70ppm, check (safe drinking water ppm chart) on google, this is why I did not purchase one. Buy a ppm tester first to check your water as it may be better than you think, plus it could save you unnecessary expense. Hope this helps.

I take half of my requirement in distilled water, 1 litre and rest in boiled water or bottled water (whatever way it comes to me). Also like your friend I do water fasting twice a year for 5 days each. Very nice for me.

+Kristie Wolf Mine only has the circuit breaker button too, but I never let it run dry. I can guesstimate when the water level is low by looking at the decanter, then simply pull the plug. Some Amazon reviews indicate there may be a problem letting it run dry and the heater element causing the metal to leak. I prefer to stop it before that point just to make sure.

There is no on/off switch, it just switches it on. It has a bi-metal strip in it so that it switches itself off before anything goes up in flames, just like how a boiler works, so you don't need to watch it and switch it off at the wall. He got that bit wrong, both distillers have the same switch, you can only switch them on, it switches itself off.

Could i use the distilled water in a bean to cup coffee machine or would this leach stuff from the machine if plastic? Or should i add salt or minerals to the distilled water first to stop it leaching from the coffee machine?

True, it does come off. The first time is a little difficult, but after that it comes off easily. It only requires 1/4 of a turn to come off. If you are not screwing off the lid, and wiping the glass clean, then you are going to have a film and fungus build-up.... Yuck!

So nice to hear that you beat cancer! So happy for you! I would like to know what the coils are made of. Some models make their coils of aluminum. I would NEVER want a unit with aluminum coils. This is one reason I NEVER use a drip coffee pot since they all have aluminum heating coils. To make sure I don't get aluminum in my coffee, I use either a french press or a pour-over method. So I want to make sure that the water distilling unit I purchase is aluminum-free.

Thank you for sharing!! You really encouraged me to use distilled water and thank you for sharing the amount of electrolytes to add to the distilled water.

You kept saying the top fan element heats up. This isn't true. The heating element is in the base of the units. The top is just the condensing coil and fan. You also said that the ideal drinking water should be anywhere from 0 - 100 ppm, yet the chart shows ideal drinking water is 0 - 50 ppm.

Will distilling remove fluoride?

Based on this video I bought the Megahome distiller. I add 2 tablespoons of 40000 volts pet 4litres as you said. Day 5 and I have a better sense of well being, more energy and improved skin. I also put the water through a Biocera alkaline filter to reduce acidity. It also adds minerals.

does you meter detect only dissolvable solids? How about pharmaceutical contaminants, oils, acids? Do they evaporate into the distillate?

THE COVER IS COMPLETELY REMOVABLE!!! ))) The instructions say: *** "IMPORTANT GLASS JUG NOTE" The metal lid of the jug can be 'screwedoff and on' anti-clockwise for cleaning. Do not 'pull' or 'force' the metal lid off to prevent damage. Glass jug not covered under warranty. ***

What is the distiller unit made off ? I mean that is it ethanol compatible?
