    What do you have to take into account in the cost of the water is that these appliances break down every year or so and you have to replace them because the warranty is always expired! I know from experience I've already gone through two of these and now I'm looking for one with a decent warranty and there just isn't one.

    The top on the water pure model does come off, you have to unscrew it slightly. But it is a pain because there is a silicone gasket that has to be exactly the right place.

    Thank you for such a thorough review. It has helped me decide which distiller unit I would like to purchase. I loved the music. You’ve done a great service here. Thank you so much again.

    I was wordering if anyone has any ideas how I could use distilled water for showering? My heart goes out to this beautiful persons family My mother is batteling lung cancer also so far they have removed most of her right lung but unfortunately it has spread and she is not wanting to do any other treatment at this time understandably. The treatment should never be worse than the disease.

    Trace minerals are toxic. DO NOT ADD TRACE MINERALS to your water or you are adding back in a large percentage of what you are removing. All minerals should come from fruits, lettuce and greens, and small amounts of nuts and seeds. These are the only place that minerals are organic and bio available for absorption.

    From the first moment it is clear that you are promoting sales of the left device - megahome. The design of the right device is much more beautiful and very aesthetic. You are an unreliable sales agent.

    I really want the Megahome one, but it's so freaking expensive in Canada. Most of them are sold out and 3rd party companies are overpricing their product. I want to get something as good as the Megahome. Does anyone have recommendations?

    We wanted so much to watch this video, but that beeping bell noise in the background is so severely distracting that we could hardly hear what you were saying. KZread has recommended that there be no background music for instructional video's, and it's obvious why. Over 50% of the population are not able to process both music and speech at the same time, which is why some students like to listen to music while studying, and others are not capable of listening to music while studying. We know you obviously weren't aware of this, as many people who have that capability are not aware that they are actually gifted, but not all people have that gift. Many very intelligent people do not have that gift, so intelligence has nothing to do with that ability.

    My Megahome distiller model 316 takes 6 hours to distill 4 liters of hot tap water. I am running it overnight, but I wonder how much it will cost in terms of energy. My Tds varies between 1 to 2, never 0. I wonder if fluriode is 100% filtered...

    I’ve had the expensive ones and the $50 ones. They all work the same and they all end up testing the same. I like using a four hour timer. This leaves exactly 1 inch of water at the bottom. It makes cleaning a lot easier as the chemicals do not bake on the bottom. You are welcome for that tip. It is a lifesaver.

    I started drinking only distilled water a few months ago and it has helped me tremendously. I don't know if its related, but I was able to stop taking my autoimmune medication. I don't add minerals back into my water though. I have just been eating more whole foods with natural mineral suplimentation and I only store my distilled water in glass. I avoid plastic containers.

    This vid is 7yo now so I’m hoping you’ve figured it out but the stainless steel lid on the cheaper model turns to release it from the jug. Lefty loosy 😅 that aside though, i do like the fact that you’re actually comparing devices rather than going online and finding a top-5 list with a robot voice presenting the video. Also, tds meters aren’t for detecting toxins specifically. After you add in your mineral stuff you showed, you’re going to get a ppm reading with your tds meter again, so ppm doesn’t equal toxins. Oh and i notice a not so pleasant taste with the countertop model too (mine is a newer version of your cheap one.) It’s the taste of the minerals burning on the heating element. I’m actually here to find a way around that bad taste that doesn’t involve removing the deposits after every single use (either with the supplied cleaning product or vinegar and baking soda.) Even stopping the unit 1L shy of finishing still leaves the distilled water in the jug with a lighter verion of the burnt mineral taste.

  • @gsdbellaoneone9325
    @gsdbellaoneone9325 Жыл бұрын

    Excellent points! The concentration of junk deposits at the bottom getting heated by the heating element has always occurred to me as worrisome. . Also, tds readings are used on these review sites - very limited detection (useless!). Thank you for raising these things - these issues just seem to be tossed aside. I've spent so long trying to decide how to clean my water.

    @@gsdbellaoneone9325 I’m thinking of going with a larger automatic distiller that hooks up to a water line. It’ll be significantly more expensive but, to be honest, for me it’s worth it to spare myself anymore wasted time and energy humming and hawing over research while I continue to drink nasty tap water all because the small water distiller I cheaped out on makes unpleasant tasting water.

    Some people have complained that the glass container has broken various time for them. I think this is because of the design of the metal strips and the handle wrapping around the glass adds inward pressure when its full of water and we lift it up it would sooner or later stress the elements of the glass and break. To avoid this the best practice is to grab the jar with both hands for any occasion.

  • @Michael_Howard59
    @Michael_Howard596 ай бұрын

    when i pick up the glass jug i support it with my left hand and the handle with my right hand. never any stress on the glass.

  • @MrShamus07
    @MrShamus074 ай бұрын

    I have a Megahome, and I just grab the handle with one hand, and put my other hand under the bottom of the container. Yes, it does seem a but fragile, but it'll be fine if you handle it with care. I've never has an issue with it, but then I tend to take appropriate care of my things that are breakable, especially glass. We all know glass is fragile, so you can't really blame glass for breaking when you're not careful with it.

    Don't understand why people bang on about high TDS being bad, 'tocic' per se. Adding back salts is going to put the TDS back towards where it was dependent on how many salts are required. Misleading!

  • @kwacz
    @kwacz Жыл бұрын

    tds is not a measure of pollutants in the water. tds measures concentration of dissolved minerals in your water. It does not measure voc's in the water. Dissolved minerals in the water arent necessarily a bad thing. if you distill the water it is going to try tp pull something from the environment and that could be pollutants and gasses from the air as well as plastic or metal leaching from the storage container. Distilled is not necessarily better than not distilled depending on how it is handled and what it is put into after distilling.

  • @gsdbellaoneone9325

    Great points! Why do these 'expert reviews' use a tds meter ?! Also, air tight storage of the distilled water is important.

    Fantastic video. Thank you so much for sharing🙏🏽🙏🏽 I have 2 questions. I bought the mega home distiller and I absolutely love it. My acupuncturist wants me to only drink warm water. Now here are my 2 questions: 1. Once I have made my distilled water, can I heat it up in the microwave? I enjoy drinking warm water as I always feel cold. 2. My mother asked if she can boiled the distilled water to make her tea? Thank you In advance🙏🏽❤️🕉

    So nice to hear that you beat cancer! So happy for you! I would like to know what the coils are made of. Some models make their coils of aluminum. I would NEVER want a unit with aluminum coils. This is one reason I NEVER use a drip coffee pot since they all have aluminum heating coils. To make sure I don't get aluminum in my coffee, I use either a french press or a pour-over method. So I want to make sure that the water distilling unit I purchase is aluminum-free.
