    I came here to say the same thing. In all the videos I have seen there is some pretty solid musical taste on display. Misfits, System, Danzig, Gojira, Ghost. I would work out at this gym for sure. At my gym I have to listen to all of this on ear buds which I don't really like to do because I feel it takes away from my situational awareness. Otherwise I have to listen to the conversations of the elderly and country music... I'll take the earbuds... for now.

  • @Odrunkmonkey
    @Odrunkmonkey6 жыл бұрын

    Has anybody chimed in on how you used the wrong product, for a patch that small you needed a mortar mix not concrete. You're patch with pop out in a short period of time. When it does get something like rapid set mortar mix, vacuum out the dust, apply a masonry bonding agent, then the mortar patch.

    To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Starting Strength. The progressive overload is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of overhead press form, most of the barbells will go over a typical lifters head. There's also Rippetoes nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his number of sets - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Zyzz's routine, for instance. The lifters understand this stuff; they have the glute development to truly appreciate the depths of these squats, to realize that they're not just below parallel- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike starting strength truly ARE DYELs- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the rep range in Rippetoes day B of squats, which itself is a cryptic reference to Zyzz's initial workout method. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Rippetoes genius unfolds itself on their lowerbody. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a lower back injury. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5kg of my own squat (preferably lower) beforehand.

    As a gym owner, do you often want to train more than 4 days a week since you're already there anyway? Even if it's lower-intensity isolation training to work on improving weak areas or do you stay strict to your program so as to not over/under train? Have you ever had periods in your training where you trained more or less than 4 days per week?

    Rob S you could split a 4 day into a 6 day split so you the same work but with better recovery. Or just add 2 easy bodybuilding days to a 4 split.

    Jakob Mayr that's kinda how mine is now lol, I have 4 days each focuamaed on one of the 4 compound lifts, 1 day for training cleans and some direct arm work and the 6th day is a bodybuilding/easy day just to workout whatever I feel like

  • @jakobmayr8696

    @jakobmayr8696

    Rob S i would still make the 6th day a planned push pull workout or so. If you just randomly do exercises it will not get you anything as a natty. You need to progressively overload on everything. I used to do the exact same mistake.
