In early 1939, the High Command of the Kriegsmarine adopted a fleet reinforcement program known as "Plan Z." By the autumn of 1939, the program began to fall apart and never came to fruition. However, German naval designers left behind some rather interesting relics. One of these was the H-39-class battleship project, which you might find it is the Pommern’s sister ship in the game, Friedrich der Große. In the case of Pommern, she is more of a hybrid of the H-39, the main core difference are it’s guns, 380mm versus 406mm as included in the original design. The very same 380mm guns found on Bismarck and Tirpitz. Like the ship’s names, there was no record of the Kriegsmarine using the name Pommern on their ships. Adolf Hitler personally gave the names of the ships (assuming if they were ACTUALLY built) after historical people such as Ulrich von Hutten, Gottfried von Berlichingen, and other proposed names such as Carl Clausewitz and August Otto Rühle von Lilienstern so as to avoid negative public morale if the ships that were sunk in battle were named after German or Prussian states.

this ship is interesting. its fast for the amount of defense it has. so if you get clear path or just out speed to the flank. you can tank along the way and if all goes well you will find yourself in a cross fire position High speed is a good way to close the range on HE island spam

I am so glad I picked up Hyde on your recommendations, it really does so much for German BBs

Great review and I caught the first build (secondaries) the shots were all over.

You did your torps dirty Spartan. The Kurfurst completely wrecked your launcher just as you got those fish in the water and you couldn't even let them do their purpose. For shame lol

Only 2 segments left until I get my first legendary ship. Yamato. It's been about 3 months since I started playing. I picked up Hyde with shards so this Pommern is going to make a nice addition to my fleet. Thanks Spartan.

Good showing of the ship, I really want this boat because I waited a long time for a german campaign ship, I learn from the ship a lot since she come to legends, I want to understand the ship by the time I have it and don’t play with it like an idiot, the problem I see about her is it’s so big but that understandable because she is a H class ship=Gk

Spartan just neutered my ass for every game with the Pommern now. Luckily I go straight in and try to flank to the side of BB's. I have handed L's out left and right with that method. Edit: I also never have problems with my torpedo tubes. Been playing Pommern a lot and I haven't really lost anything at all (Guns, Secondaries, Torps)

Yeah I never recommend spending more than the 2500 gold for the backing just not worth it in my opinion

Kansas has become my fav BB on PC WG. Always doing the right thing!

I always grind out like 50 then that cuts the price down on the whole package 😊

If you pair alladad with a Von Essen inspiration does that reduce your bounce to basically just anything completely bow on?

Gg definitely gotta watch that smoke firing penalty though when you reverse in front of a Montana.

I hate that when I play t7 matches, my teammates either A: Don't start actually playing until minutes in to that match, at which point they've lost half their health anyway, or B: Seem to go to the outskirts of the map for fear of getting their paint job scraped. It's irritating that t5 matches are more exciting and compelling to play because people aren't sitting miles away getting pick damage just for the off chance of dev striking

We’ve got enough German ships with Secondaries and crappy accuracy. They have either the small guns that don’t do crap or 15” guns and neither can hit something unless you have the length of the ship your aiming at. This T VIII they could have given it 406mm or up and if not better accuracy would of been great. That looked like shooting Buckshot at 50/75 yards 😂

I was hoping this was a tier 8 Brandenburg.

Yeah I don’t know what to think of the ship. I’m disappointed with the reload time, Bradenburg has bad reload but at least it makes up for it (kind of) with the secondary. It’s probably not worth whaling on?

I play this ship on PC and it’s my obsolete favourite! I’m German BB secondary main and this thing has one of the most deadliest secondary in the game. DD’s won’t go near it! Ps. I missed your stream and it’s down now… :(

The secondaries can go all the way out to 11km but I don't think that's the best use of the ship

Yeah this thing might not suit me I sold Brandenburg I realized I F’d up on that this boat might end up the same way but who knows the reload is way too slow for 15 inch guns at T8

When are they going to run out of paper ships?

I have high respect for players that ask me questions about ships I don't know about. So when I had to drop a comment on this video when platoon mates ask me how players get ships before the 100 day mark I had to express my opinion. As I logged into game to explain the ways to them Spartans video came up on my screen and I commented in the wrong message to avoid any confusion I deleted the section.

Since this is a end seasons prize players that do pay to get it and are lucky enough to grind it or pay for it shouldn't complain about the issues with Torpedoes reloads, or any reload times be lucky you can afford to get these premiums some working class family players can't afford these prices when they need to but food on the tables 😉. I about fell out of my chair when seeing how much they are charging for the new Asian DD tier 7 I was like WTF am I looking at 🤔. typically German ship The main guns are very inaccurate and relatively soft Much better units on this tier, for example Republiqe

Im trying to do the campaign, and get to level 100 on ps4 and get the pommern, problem is: im at level 31, i don't understand how i got there i just played. I played today and i did not do 1 rank more... where i can see the missions to do to rank faster in the campaign? I am on ps4 probably is not like computer, but i seriusly dunno where to start...
