Piece of history on the Maniz, she actually was the 4th Admiral Hipper Cruiser Seydtiz, which later was converted in the Weser Carrier. If she was ever finished as Cruiser K she would of been armed with the secondary guns that are on the Bismarck the L/55 C/28 150 mm guns.

Always love your straightforward and unbiased review of ships, really helps me to make an informed choice on where to invest my limited time and resources.

I like the Mainz but like you did I use it as a fire starter and not a flanker you do get a lot of damage by fire starting but AP is actually insane I don’t tend to use AP on bbs or cruisers unless their crap cruisers that have a huge citadel then their back to port but the Mainz AP is actually pretty darn nasty so I used only HE in one match and got 89,304k damage then the next match 107k AP same map aswell but obviously you can’t get the same ships as one game and the other but it’s a good ship for a light cruiser

It's definitely an interesting ship to use. Very good guns, ap is awesome when the enemy is broadside, and good torps. You can definitely tell the Wiemar doesn't get touched as bad. Even game I've played with it so far when I get hit it HURTS. Balance I guess. Good boat though.

Man, It was a good game but as a BB player who has shot that thing a lot recently in my Iowa its definitely easy to cit just like seigfried lol. Once folk learn that its soft Your gunna seem die a lot trust me... I like the concept but that armor just aint it. They keep making heavy cruisers with soft armor but the light ones get strong armor lol. I'd gladly trade health for armor so I can ACTUALLY BE A TOUGH HEAVY CRUISER but you know.... Wargaming retarded...

As a battleship Main, I had to buy this cause it's so lovely and I really couldn't resist

These new German cruisers are powerful.. glad they've added more heavy cruisers to the tech tree recently to balance it out a bit. As someone who doesn't pay much or have time to complete campaigns it's tough competing against these premium cruisers

This versatile ship fits most every role. Flanker, camper, inside brawler. In spite of its smaller caliber main guns, its exceptional fire rate more than makes up for it.

Funny, how some CC's conspired to get Weimar ruined by getting it nerfed or moved. But in escense, the Mainz is a slightly more powerful Weimar. Still, it's a cruiser, and well placed salvos can ruin any cruiser.

Is mimbelli worth it when the reload is already so quick? I mean even a 10% reduction is only .5 of a second off a 5 sec reload, and mimbelli aint getting you 10%. Just seems not worth it to me

He is just going through all the cruiser lines, from left to right ( he started with the Americans) so after the Edinburgh, it will be ablemarle, then it will be the Germans

The main flag is just cosmetic but the booster flags boost different things, such as Silver earnings, or XP earned.

I play this ship almost every time I hop on Legends. RIDICULOUSLY consistent, and that AP is no slouch. If Baltimore is the King of Heavy Cruisers, Mainz is the EMPEROR of Light Cruisers. That AP hits just as hard, if not even greater, and with Legendary Main Battery mod (And run Mimbelli as inspiration) you can drop that reload to a high 3 second reload. It's DISGUSTING. Mainz is a God, and now that T7s are the real money makers now, this ship replaces Atlanta as the Money Printer. DO NOT SLEEP ON MAINZ!!!

CC's would receive store premiums for free, permanently. Campaign ships they would get on loan for a week or so, to test and make a video. They also get a regular dubloon allowance and I believe packs of event crates, but I'm not 100% sure on that last one. Basically, he will now have to buy everything to make these reviews, which is why he is asking for support.

Had one on team, but never saw it. We lost, he was last. Don't think he lasted 2 min sadly. A ship is only as good as its captain lol.

German 5.9" are nasty, American cruisers are better largely because of the number of guns they mount. This one looks good with 12 guns.
