Lol I worked at a dealer here in Dubuque. When you go from a lease to a buy, you are supposed to get new plates. The dealer should have given you a temporary tag and taken your old plates and turn them into the courthouse for you.

In my case, they cancelled the last month if the lease and used it as a trade in. I imagine that makes a difference?
