Actually, its pretty small. I also have a Walmart store that is about the same size. For comparison sakes, the Walmart in town (NOT mine) has a section literally 4 times larger than this. There are 3 of these stores in town, and although this store is the busiest, i have the smallest section out of all of them. This store is Top 5 for Frito sales in their entire corporation!

I applied for customer service merchandiser in tx. How many hours avg should i expect a week and what are the work days

Product gets delivered via truck (ie I deliver product and put it on the shelf). Cardboard boxes get returned to the warehouse for recycling. If you're a merchandiser, you work the product that's already in the store and leave the empty boxes with the backstock to be picked up the next day.

I spent 17 years as a merchandiser ,I never seen or heard of a 3 cart order,most stores end up with 2 or 3BACK STOCK 3 carts on an order is a practical day off

I've been on a route for 1.5 years. I take home about $650 after taxes per week.

54k is based on 50 hours and doesnt include bonus.

This is a little complicated. The simplest way to explain is that there is a bonus once a month based off your sales for thar month. Sales v. Plan. The amount varies. Could be a couple hundred or a thousand. Depends on what your route ran.

God.... I don't know how you guys do it. I was an RSR in Charlotte for 6 years, was with out a doubt the worst job I ever had in my life. The act of stocking and delivering was fine, the management in Charlotte was godawful.

Management issues aren't unusual at frito sometimes you get a power freak on an ego trip and next go around you get a reasonable manager

So I went for the interview and the questions had nothing Sales related, which I was more prepared for. The interviewer simply just ask for my past 5 years work experience, which I'm sure they already have by simply reading my resume and 3 general questions from a prompt (like describe to me a time when you ran into a quality issue and how you solved it, another one how do you handle prioritizing, and lastly a safety question scenario......but noting sales related) . So long story short, I didn't get hired. So the next logical question is, what are they ACTUALLY looking for in this type of interview that has no questions relating to sales, leadership or motivation? Are they just trying to feel for the person regardless of job capabilities (as I have sales experience), are they looking for personality over skillset? I applied for more RSA position in near by cities other than mines and I want to be prepared for the next interview. Thanks in advance, any RSA out there for Frito Lay feel free to answer.

It's hard to say .they need bodies to work so there must have been something that red flagged you.i would reapply for a different position at another district.sometimesthose decisions could come down to availability issues or they just hired enough for that area but another district may need people more and you get the job

Yes. First interview is actually automated. Questions are asked, your responses are recorded, and someone reviews them later. I got an email for a face to face within a couple days.

I am not a merchandiser. I am a sales rep. I'm not sure on pay. Our merchandisers work usually from 9am to around 4 with Mondays and Tuesdays off. That probably varies though.

@@DrivingwithKevin oh I’m sorry. I thought the Merchandisers are the ones that stocked the chips. I just applied and got the 2 emails, waiting on the interview from what I hear. It’s hard to get any information on the Merchandising position, especially pay and hour’s. Do you know can you advance pretty good in this company? Thank you for responding 😊 good video btw!

Its all good. Frito is different than most other vendors in that sales reps stock product as well. Merchandisers usually handle second or third hits. They'll also cover certain routes on days the sales rep is off (for example...one of our merchandisers stocks Sam's Club on Sunday when that rep is off). Next step after merchandiser would be a sales rep. Advancement can be slow. It seems most sales rep stay for a long time. As with any job, if you're willing to move you can advance quicker. I can't even tell you how much merchandisers make here as I'm not entirely sure. I want to say $14? but not 100% sure. I'm in Iowa. You'll get a phone interview first, then an "in person", which right now is probably via Zoom. Phone interview is automated.
