Foxy looks related to Lil' Bub, who had a mouth like that. She was the sweetest Kitty and warmed the hearts of many folks around the world (until she went back to the great beyond because she was too good for this world!) Watching Bub eat her favourite treat, yogurt, was heart melting. She was a wee girl too.

That device is a wonderful invention to help kittens not inadvertently bite the feeding tube in half and get it stuck in them - even if it wasn't needed for this little one; don't neglect to use it for other kittens in the future!

That was actually a genius device to use for a feeding tube. You might need it for another kitten someday. But of course it's better not to need it. She's so precious 💕

This is how my jaw looks. I use my upper Palette to push my bottom teeth in to the food to break off bites. I do get infections in the gums behindy front teeth sometimes. So she may be able to eat dry food or moist dry food when she gets older.

I deeply envy the fact that you've arranged your life in such a fashion that you can do this. I found a litter of kittens at work, maybe days away from opening their eyes, and their mama had likely run off due to all the noise we were making. I called everyone I could think of who might be able to take them, and no luck yet. Bless you for what you're doing, the TNR especially. Every spay and neuter is at least two tragedies prevented.

Jaw surgery brings to mind my human cousin who a couple decades back had surgery for severe underbite where bone bits from thighbone were grafted in to lower jaw. I'll bet that at this point on the calendar, writing the check to pay for that kind of surgery on a kitten/cat is a bigger issue than doing the surgery.

Lil Bub has come back

It's surprising she made it that fr. She may be tiny from not getting enough milk and solid (wet) food, but with a home/foster to care for her, she'll have a chance to catch up some, even if she's always small. Gosh, hope she can get corrective surgery for that overbite when she's old enough. heh, messy Messy getting into her food, but OK, a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do. :) best wishes for her. Long road ahead, but a much better chance with people taking care of her.

I had a serve overbite that was going to negatively affect my airway and breathing ability as I grew. We caught it early enough for me to get herbst device and braces instead of needing jaw surgery. Maybe the braces will be an option for the little one too 💕

My teeth are smol for my jaw. So lots of gaps, some are crooked. That's the downside. On the plus side, my second molars either didn't come in or were so underdeveloped my wisdom teeth came in no problem. So I get it, kinda.
