Media and Culture Days 2023

The third edition of ABU and Radio Romania’s international forum „Media & Culture Days” took place in Bucharest, on 16-17 November.
Media experts discussed about challenges, opportunities and about the role in producing and promoting culture and heritage in all its forms.
The main question of this conference was „How Culture powers public service media?”
Mrs. Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of Georgian RTV, said that „media and culture they are so collaborating and they are so chained, that I can't imagine the public service media whitout the culture and I explain why. Because the media shapes the society, the persons, the lifestyle, which creates the culture”.
Our guest spoke about nowadays challenges for the radio, for the television, for the future in times when broadcasters are facing misinformation, fake news, in times when broadcasters are trying to integrate AI for creating content.
„To start for the challenges starting with this misinformation during the war for instance, now we are all facing it's a real challenge. But even more the new media, as we called it the digital media, change everything”.
In the end, Mrs. Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of Georgian RTV, said, regarding the Radio Romania 95 year anniversary, that „it's not only a radio when you are 95 years old, you are all the history”.
This year’s conference took place in the frame of „Radio Romania '95” anniversary and was supported by BRD, Smith & Smith Transfer de bani and „Carol I’st Central University Library”.
