exactly, they grew PROFITS last year 10% at over $8 BILLION. How is that possible if they are saying inflation makes them raise prices? Its not that they are losing money, they just arent growing EARNINGS for their shareholders. Lee Iacocca, bermoser and Estes were only making between $250,000-$300,000 in 1981 CEOS of the big 3 autos. The average UAW pay was $40,000. Today Ceo of Macdonald makes 14.2 million. Average annual pay at McDonald’s 30,000. CEOs salaries are the ones that have gone up astronomically. Not your average worker.

Increased costs are always passed along to the customer. This isn’t rocket science.

Look at KZread video of McDonald’s food being prepared, looks like some manufacturing station, shame on them overcharging for that crap. If you’re gonna spend that kinda money buy some real food.

$48 to feed two people at Taco Bell. We just gave up on fast food altogether. We can go for a sit-down dining experience, with much better quality food, for less that fast food. Local Chinese food was $32 for the same two people. Do the math.

The entire fast food industry is in trouble if they keep the high prices. Most of us that grew up with the cheaper fast food will just stop going all together. I would rather go to a sit down restaurant than spend $50 at McDonalds.

Here's some history to make you cry. When I attended college in the early 1970's in Toronto, a burger at Harvey's was 69 cents. I could get a BLT, fries and a large Coke for 95 cents. And a full prime rib dinner at the Royal York's Imperial Room in Toronto was $8. Included prime rib, potato, salad, vegetable and dessert. Think it's b.s.? Nope. I have a menu. Yes, I know all about inflation but today's restaurant prices are greed personified.

Pre pandemic a $5 value meal would have caused outrage

Fast food prices will never come back down. McDonalds has raised their shareholder dividends 49 years in a row. They aren't going to stop now.

They had $5 meal with junior chicken which is now obviously much higher price.

McDonald's will also stop offering Free Refills on Sodas

Even if they do make a 5$ meal it will probably end up being 7$-8$ in a couple of months after enough people start buying it more often
