    @@REL602 It is not good for the workers either , they are cutting the number of employees or making them work fewer hours. It is horrible for the mom and pops that can't pay the higher wages and can't hire employees. Minimum wage is a horrible practice and should be up to the employee and the company based upon skill level at least more so than it has become. Does anyone deserve $20 an hour to shovel crap out of a horse stall compared to the skill level involved ?

    Problem is they’re not, they’re still buying it. Which is insane to me. I’m a bodybuilder, I weigh and cook all my food, this doesn’t effect me in the slightest. Just blows my mind how bad my countrymen eat. Why do Americans eat pure sugar for breakfast? I’d feel awful.

  • @user-ng2gf4ox9q

    @user-ng2gf4ox9q

    The reason why people are still buying is because people are working two and three jobs just to make a living, one job doesn't work anymore. In today's world you have to have at least two jobs to be able to pay your rent and pay for the taxes on your house. Working two jobs how will you have time to be able to cook?

  • @ugk26

    @@user-ng2gf4ox9q you need to be creative. I cook twice a week. That food last around three days before I start not wanting to eat it. When I leave the house, I put boiling hot water in a thermos and close it for 20 minutes. Then I heat up my food and put it inside the thermos. Sometimes, I freeze the thermos and then put 370 g of Greek yogurt and one scoop of protein in there. Then I eat a banana with it. It’s really not that hard, you just have to be willing to put in the small amount of effort to make it happen. And that is what blows my mind, someone can’t spend 2 to 3 hours a week cooking their food. I mean, is that insanely hard?

And yet I still spend on average $25-$30 a day shopping for just essential grocery items - nothing fancy. $210 a week or $840 a month for a single, conservative person to eat sparingly is simply outrageous. Sit down places have become much cheaper and faster than fast food places. I waited 20 minutes at chic fila a month ago, and they got my order wrong. I ordered Chili's tonight online, didn't wait and by the time I got there the food was ready, there's other options, these greedy fast food joints won't learn until we give them the neon lit sign, inflation is artificially high because of these places, there's simply no other reason, farmers aren't getting paid more... It starts with distribution and works it's way through the likes of McDonald's, do you remember when they played games with eggs a few months ago... people started raising their own chickens and others were buying from those people, eggs quickly found its way down to a normal price, and even dipped to a 5 year low here, people stopped buying them.

Also, places like six flags where teens might have a season pass are telling parents "were not a daycare center" The skating rink is one of the last vestiges of child entertainment. There are no hangouts like the old-school pizza hut back in the day. The mall seems unsafe and it's pricy to even have out there, the arcade is ridiculous. There is almost nothing for kids to do now.

    I actually do that! There’s a couple of restaurants I go to for take out food. I can actually get a meal, 2 of us eat it and it’s cheaper than fast food. We have a Mexican restaurant where we can get a child’s meal for $6, And the portions are so large, I can’t even eat the whole thing. Years ago, for the fun of it, I would see how cheaply I could make a whole meal(per plate). It would consist of neat, starch, and vegetables. The last one I did was 92 cents! And the portion sizes on the plate were not small either. My husband said he would gladly pay $12.95 if that was in a restaurant. I’m todays higher grocery prices, that same meal may cost me $2.00 to make. So many people today just don’t know how to manage their money.

We told her you can make due out with a pband j, or a protein bar, a cheese buiscit and fruit. We're going out less anyway sine our marshal arts place went out of business . Stop supporting ridiculous minimum wage increases to levels that have nothing to do with the skill to work there. That's what's causing a lot of the increases. It's also a magnet for more migrants to cross the border.

    What makes people livid is shrinkflation. Prices go up and size and quality go down. A couple of weeks ago Burger King ran a special - 2 Whopper Juniors for $5. I took a bite on the way home and I turned around and headed back. I thought I had no meat. By the time I got there I found the meat - paper thin and it filled about 1/2 of the bun. Needless to say I'm not going back. Low quality food at high prices is no longer attractive to buyers. Do something else or die.

    What I do is buy a 10 pack of flower tortillas at ALDI’s for $1.28. Two cans of refried beans for $0.98, a large onion for $0.59 and go to Taco Bell and order one bean burrito for $2.30 and 25 packets of Diablo Sauce. For what I buy one bean burrito a Taco Bell for, I get ten for the same price that are bigger from ALDI’s and I have the sauce. When your ratio of savings is ten to one, you have to be an idiot to order much of anything from Taco Bell or any other place.

    As someone who turned 40 this year, life time of taken notice has made me realize prices have always trended higher and never lower. 5, 10, 15, 20 years from now prices will keep on climbing and never falling. Remember business can only move forward and never backwards. If you think you're fkd now, your future is much worse. We are overpopulated, period.
