like sketchy employees that spit on the grill to make sure it is ready for the next batch of burgers or the ones that don't wash their hands after taking a crap.or the ones that drop the burger on the dirty floor and put it back on the bun or the ones that take out the garbage and come back in and flip burgers I have seen it all when I worked fast food when I was a teenager that is why I only cook my own food. all the other stuff I have seen I can't put on KZread they would kick me off.

Where I live in Texas, one large Big Mac meal, one large 10 piece McNuggets meal, two apple pies and 4 jalapenos was $31 and change last weekend. Whataburger the previous week; one medium double Whataburger meal, one double Whataburger sandwich only, one large onion rings side, one large fries on the side and two apple pies was $29 and change. Considering the minimum wage in Texas is still $7.25, and the city I live in has not raised its minimum wage either, I don't get why prices have gone up here in Texas by a third in the past two years.

5 Guy's prices are probably the worst.

I always have frozen sausage patties, frozen hash brown patties, eggs, cheese, and English muffins in the house. My kids love McDonald's breakfast and they can make it at home any time they want. It's much cheaper just to have the ingredients on hand and make your own.

McDonald's over the years have gradually got worse I remember when the milk shakes used to look brown chocolate or pink strawberry, and they don't taste of chocolate and strawberry now,, as for the burgers they've slowly become worse and worse to the point that I do not even use McDonald's anymore,

I was on the road last week and went to McDonald’s and that burger had no taste. Aside from them shrinking it down to the smallest size I have ever seen, it’s now been reformulated to taste like nothing while costing twice as much😞. No thanks

You have to search what is cheapest! I walk and see every Friday what I can buy! I’m just glad I have many grocery stores walking distance. I get some lettuce and cucumbers and chicken and that my meal for the week and then I make a soup and I’m set

Absolutely! I have the privilege to live in NYC and I have like 6 grocery stores walking distance! I check and get the the paper every Friday and see what’s on sale and what’s the cheapest. I stopped going to fast food years ago because in NYC the prices have insane for like 5 years

I recently bought 2 combos at a non-McDonald's fast food place. The price was more than that at my local buffet for lunch.

The grocery store freezer section is fast food's greatest enemy. All the food they sell is available there for much cheaper.

I have def cut back on going out to grab something to eat its just insane..

Last year for my birthday I got Taco Bell for 3 people and it was over 50 bucks in NYC! I almost fainted! I don’t eat fast food except for my birthday. And they messed up the order also! I remember Taco Bell as a teenager being so cheap! With ten bucks I could feed myself and my two younger siblings! I remember going to McDonald’s and buying them a happy meal for 2 dollars! Now a happy meal in NYC is 7 dollars

Yeah, Wendy's has the $5 Biggie Bag, but the prices of everything else on their menu is jacked up way too high. If McDonald's does a $5 meal, brace yourselves for noticeable price increases on every menu item that is not the cheap meal.

Why would i pay $5 for a Mcdouble fries and a drink when i know those all use to be on the dollar menu.

So, what’s the plan to speed up even more traffic when the new $5 value meal is introduced? McDonald’s drive thrus already don’t seem to be able to handle what they have now, and a 15min wait for fast food is already unreasonable.😞

How come the media reports 4% inflation one minute & then the new high prices of groceries, restaurants, gas, rent, homes & etc. Do i just not understand how inflation is calculated? (To make it not sound so bad). You all know we're paying more than 4% for everything this year than last, right?

Walmart and Safeway grocery store are less expensive. For Safeway you would need to have a phone number and be a member to be less expensive

It used to be called the McDouble Bundle for $3.50 or so. Adding a drink to make it $5 is actually a price hike. Don't be fooled.

I gave up on McDonald's when they raised the price of the Egg McMuffin and the quality went down. A stale muffin and the egg and cheese tasted like it was made an hour ago.

LOL McDonald's was never synonymous with quality ever. Its cheap fast food which was the appeal. Bottom line is they've hiked up prices to the point where the market is now declining so they have to bring those customers back. They'll probably pump more chemicals into the "food" to keep their profit margins going while they cut prices...

They're only cutting prices on a small select amount of items and it's for one month big freaking deal.

People complained about high price, but I still see a lot of people in my local McDonald. I just saw a lady pick up 20 happy meals couple days ago.

Should have been covering Taco Bell. My mom used to feed our family of 6 for 25$ with a party pack of soft taco supremes. We each would get 2-3 tacos. Now I can’t even buy a meal for even half that and my fiancé and I usually cost almost 30$ now for 2 combos after tax. And delivery services goodness. I’m happy to tip the delivery people but the service fees are ridiculous and the restaurants charge more sometimes. I also noticed smaller portions than what they give in the store. My coworker and I ordered once and she got a slice of pie and it was a literal sliver of pie for 7$ I could have bought a half cake for that much at the supermarket.

What fine dining restaurant is only $14? @1:03 That woman is delusional or clueless. All these fast food companies have been gouging customers and blaming inflation. Their record profits prove that jacking up prices was a fake inflation excuse.

Soon in 10 years maybe, a double quarter pounder w/cheese will be over $40.

I am not sure what to think , I shop at the grocery store in my town and buy certain things there , but when it comes to meat , I go to the next town over because the same meat is almost 50% less there and that is not a sale price . As for Franchisers like McD's they make Billions and don't care what happens to their Franchisees , The Franchiser sets the price they charge the Franchisee and doesn't allow the Franchisee to shop around for the best deal . The Franchiser buys huge bulk and charges the Franchisee retail ( a hamburger patty may cost $ .19 to make and they sell it to Franchisee for $1.00 ) . The Franchisee has to make money too but since they are already paying retail or close to it there is not much room for profit by the time it gets to them . Don't listen to the Spin Doctors that work for big companies .

That’s like the price of 2 years ago. No value here.

Look up pink slime or LFTB. McD's claim they quit using this inn 2012, not true. Unfortunately they are allowed to and can call their burgers 100% beef too. Every chain fast food burger you eat is made with some form of this, also their chicken nuggets. Do you really want to feed this to your kids or yourselves?

I payed $10.72 for a McCrispy Sandwich meal last night 💸💸😤

I’ve been mapping out my items and mapping out stores for 20 years. What makes her so special also, I’ve been doing that since before inflation so again what makes her so special pay me to give you advice. McDonald’s Burger King Wendy’s Starbucks can suck it. All of that stuff is easily makeable at home now and if I’m gonna go out to eat, I’m gonna go to a nice restaurant in tip a waitress I’m not going through the drive-through no more and not a five dollar menu won’t bring me back.

Why are they weighing on this? I think it is because if they sell cheap $5 meals, more homeless folks will occupy the store.
