Those are good saws. They have good torque. That one seems to cut just fine.

Great saw. I have a 655 pro Mac a timber bear very similar to the one you are running except mine is pulling a 32 in bar with skip chain. Then I have a 610 Mac with 16 in bar and full house chain that is a screaming demon. I’m in the process of an old 10-10 Mac restoration. Cool video by the way.

Does anyone know the difference between this guy and the montgomery ward TMY 24084B? They look identical to me but I don't know if carb parts would be interchangeable as the MW is impossible to find parts or manuals for

I believe they are the same saw. Parts should interchange.

Auto oiler was a poor system, rubber diaphragm by crankcase pulsations however it was adjustable. Muffler directed the exhaust upwards toward the user.

To make the oiler automatic you have to push the oiler button in then turn it, that locks it in and makes it auto

@@tjlovesrachel ignore the previous post hes either a troll or just ignorant of the saws operation the automatic oiler runs of the crank turning has nothing to do with the auxiliary oiler its just there for an extra burst of oil when you want it.

The automatic oil pump on this particular saw is a diaphragm type pump that works by impulse from the crankcase. I haven't tried it while running yet, but I can confirm that the manual oil button does in fact lock when pushed in and turned 90 degrees clockwise.

nothing to complain about there. hey it runs & cuts. that being said a man can stay warm. when the wood is cut & stacked, im sure it didn't know the difference between a $1000 saw or a $200 saw. my grandfather cut more wood than most tree services in his life & all he used were McCulloch saws.
