I remember listening to this in my car and hearing Batman Friday, and I repeated it out loud confused and as I said it Justin said it. I feel more connected to the Eldest McElroy Boy now.

every time i hear my own father talking about his college experience i become more concerned some things my dad did: - moved in w a guy from his hometown who was in an actual gang in high school - had a separate roommate who was like. the biggest weed dealer on campus. at a large state school. in the 70s. - was deemed the best at driving while drunk among his friends. - almost majored in history ? - attended a party where someone threw a couch out a window then he dropped out for a year, got sober, and went to a teeny tiny liberal arts school 2 states away where he booked the musical acts for campus shows

their mom died of cancer before they started the podcast, they talk about it occasionally, Travis talks sometimes about how he tries to live his life to make the most out of every moment with the people he loves because he knows that time is limited, Clint talks about her a little bit at the end of the Balance arc of The Adventure Zone and says "your mom's fingerprints are all over this story" - it's super sad but I think it really informs a lot of the stuff the brothers produce and their personal philosophies

Travis was in college & Griffin in high school. They were all so young. Heartbreaking. Griffin has talked about her on the "Wonderful" podcast. Travis has talked about her when he guested on a couple other podcasts. And they've shared some of her favorite recipes with fans, which is a great kindness.
