Just tried to replicate OEM a MBenz door panel. Engraved leather for the insert in central part and plain leather for the other area. The cargo pocket also wrapped in automotive leather.
These techniques will be taught in a near future.

Upholstery leathers 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick are advisable.
