Mazda2 | Five Things That I Love

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

As promised, the other side of the love/hate coin.
Sorry for the shaky quality on this one, everyone. Lesson learned; The iPhone 6 selfie camera does NOT stabilize! I only used it so that I wouldn't wast time doing twenty takes of each shot trying to get it perfect.
I'm in desperate need of a tripod.

I have had my silver mazda 2 touring since 2011. Most reliable car ive ever owned. 170,000 miles and run full synthetic. Only had to replace tires, headlights, battery and ac compressor. The basics. And fun to drive and handles great!

Oh my gosh, I just found you! I was looking for a small, manual, economy car because I knew I would be doing tons of driving with my in home care giving job. I had my sights on a new Ford Fiesta/Focus but it wasn't to be. Lo and behold July 2019 I acquired my 2013, Spirited Green, 5-speed, Touring Mazda2 for the steal of $5,000. 80k miles. It is everything I wanted. (My first love was a 1986 5-speed, 3 cylinder Chevy Sprint.) My Mazda has brought me back to those glory days. I feel 20 years younger zipping all over town like I did the the sprint. Now I'm wanting to fancy her up. And I found your channel. Thank you thank you for being here.

I only started following you recently, but I'm glad I did. I own a manual shift 2011 Mazda2, in the bright obnoxious green. Although at first I wasn't sure how I felt about the color it really has grown on me. This is my first personally owned car, and though I've driven plenty of other's I just love the way the car feels. Back to you though, you've really got the perfect voice for these videos. A calm, cool, and justified demeanor. I'd love to see you get really popular and start doing videos for other cars. Test driving and reviewing would be perfect for you. You know what you're talking about. And you're sure of how you feel. Definitely keep at it.

Thanks, man! I want to get some better equipment to allow me more freedom to shoot these. Budgetary reasons have me stuck with just my phone and other rudimentary accessories, and that means that everything has to be one take. I can't just let the camera roll and edit out the crap later, so it takes hours to shoot a 5 minute video. A tripod is DEFINITELY my next equipment purchase. I'll get there, though. I appreciate the feedback! It means a lot!

I love my new Mazda2! It’s a 2012 Touring that was a loaner car at a SF Bay Area Mazda dealer. 50K mikes, and the car is like new! Best used car buy ever, and I think it may be my best car ever. The design and engineering that went into this little car really shows.

Me and my mom have the same year and color except we have the Touring model and it’s Automatic. I never liked small cars to begin with or Mazda’s for that matter, but that changed when we got this car back in 2016 with only 14k miles on it. This thing is dynamic, as you pointed out it’s brilliant on corners. The small compact size also makes it great for tight maneuvers. The tiny engine does limit its potential a bit but it’s not too bad. It’s also really fuel efficient. We average about 26 mpg city so it’s not bad for cruising around town. We’ve also been on road trips with it going hundreds of miles from home and we’re surprised how much storage this thing has for how small it is. The one thing I dislike is the acceleration, until the VTEC kicks in after a few mins after gunning the thing is a snail to get going to highway speed. I’m not expecting Lambo level acceleration but for a tiny car one would think it would go faster at first. Is it my all time favorite car in the world? No. But do I like the thing? Hell yeah I do.

+Rage_Hardscope The shifter and bushings together are $65 before shipping from DDM Works. I recommend buying both, since installing both at the same time makes the most sense. The shifter alone, however, is $45 before shipping and makes the most tangible difference in shift feel. The installation is simple, albeit a bit time consuming the first time around, but it's definitely doable by yourself. I actually want to make a video on how to install everything, but just haven't been motivated lately. Thanks for watching!

  • @HiroshimaSpirit

If the car is rattling, maybe check your engine mounts to see if they’re worn. As far as warming up, the car will warm up faster if you drive it straight away. If it’s shifting rough, you may be low on or need to change your transmission fluid. I have a pair of 2s, one manual, one auto.

Can I ask you something please? I bought a Mazda Demio and it has Hubcups at the moment and the mechanic told me that my tyres are 14inch at the moment, and i wish to wide a little bit the tyres too, is getting bigger tyres from 14inch to 15inch or 16inch going to affect badly the engine or the torque of the engine please? And beacuse of wider tyres does it effect fuel consumption much more ?Sorry for the long message I appreciate it , thanks for your time and have a good day 🙂
