What is the transponder key in the Mazda cx7

Had same problem ended up being a key issue. The transponder in the key went bad so the actual key needed to be replaced. Thank you for such information and detailed instructions!! Love your channel!!

I think my key is glitching out too...sometimes I put it in and get nothing...and sometimes everything works perfect. And I can turn it several times..nothing then I turn it...stsrts perfectly...is that the key going bad??

This happens to me sometimes but starts the next day any ideas

Hi. I've been watching a lot of your videos on KZread. I must say I've learned a lot from your videos. I have a 2012 Mazda CX7 that still runs perfectly. It's has about 60k miles in the meter and I love the car! But recently, the car has been consuming a lot of fuel. In fact, it's currently showing about 9.5 miles per gallon. This is very poor, right?? I do not know what to do as Mazda is not a very popular brand in my country and there's no Mazda specialists in my city at all. I do not know what to do. How do I fix this?? Please help me!!!

So what do you do if it's the first fuse you tested with that meter? The main one top left?

Hello, good afternoon, I changed the gasket to the base of the high pressure pump of my 2007 mazda cx7 and now you don't want to start the car, just remove the base with everything and the pump put it back in and it won't start anymore. It was working well, it was just that it was pouring oil over there, so I fixed the gasket.

This has just happened to my 2008 CX-7, but I have no electrical tester to check fuses. Is it possible to check these fuses and relays without a tester?

We have a 2010 CX-7 where the engine cranks when key turned but starting is intermittent or delayed. I didn’t think about checking the key fob battery may be dying.

I have a 08 cx7 and I did a engine swap. It started before but now I have no crank no start. I think I have seen all these video's and I checked every fuse, relay and wire connection and still no start. all others things work. no immobilizer symbol. battery is on trickle charger and new fob batteries. no clicking from new starter. lights on dash go out when key is turned to start. 12v at starter but no volts at smaller wire to starter when key is turned to start. any help is appreciated.

I have a 2011 Mazda CX-7 Sometimes when I start it, it will idle high and if I try to drive it while it has a high idle the gas pedal is pretty much not responsive. I am also having battery issues and have been using jumper cables. I bought a new battery was good for a week now same thing battery is drained for no reason. Check engine light came on with error P0606 which is ECM. What do I do? Replace the whole ECM or could a fuse be my problem as well?

My cx7 does not start intermittently, I had a new key cut and will have it programmed this week to see if that works.

Great video, but didn't solve my issue. When key is turned, all lights light up but engine doesn't crank, although I do hear the relays click. Can you post a link to your video to test the key and immobilizer please.

If you hear the relays click, more than likely the immobilizer is not the problem. More than likely your starter is just bad, or maybe a fuse blew somewhere.

My Mazda 2007 won't crank or start could it be the relay

My Mazda battery has been draining and the alternator is good.

My daughter's mazda cx7 sometime will just try off or will not start. If she waits a minute then try to start it. It will start. Any suggestions

sounds like the solenoid on the starter is starting to go.

Can anyone tell me, when you try to start the cx-7 (MTX) does the radio cut out? I have this engine in a project car and have done some modifications but not sure of the normal behaviour or if I have a short somewhere (or something else) I initialy thought I had a bad battery as it was reading 10v with ignition on but I replaced this today, the relay seems fine, key also seems fine (no red key light) and the relay seems to engage but the radio turns off.

Yes radio cuts out during starting

No crank no start- key light on dash turns green when key is activated but turns red when turned to start- is that normal? What should I do next? Someone advised me it’s the whole ignition switch unit that needs replacement-??? What is the likelihood of that needing to be replaced?

I have check all shown in the video fuses and relays are ok but still car is in the same condition
