He invited us to his office, and was as gracious as anyone could be. Bright, intellectual, articulate and so gracious and kind. What you see in his public persona is sincere. I hope he gets the Democratic nod.

You're the type of conservative I respect. I'm pretty liberal and registered democrat, but it's nice to see when someone can recognize there is a good person that just has different views politically. If only all people could do that. There is so much hate going around and I try to not just focus on someone's political stance because it's just a difference in opinion. When did it become such a bad thing to disagree. The only time I have a problem with people that have different political views (or anyone for that matter) is when they're actually harming people.

Speaking of which, it is so frustrating that our current president reverts to name calling and making childish attacks against his opponents. What in the world does what he look like have anything to do with his presidential capacity? It's actually one of the more well know logical fallacies to base your argument against someone's stance and capacity by bashing them for completely irrelevant things like appearance. But then again Trump knows what he is doing in that he appeals to bullies and a childish crowd. It is flabbergasting that someone like that is our frickin president. I want to respect the leaders of our country not get grossed out.

If actually listens to what the analysts have to say, and articulates himself well, while also being firm in the indirect methods of pressure the US can pursue, he should do fine. Just because he doesn't cuss or act irrationally doesn't make him weak, it makes him calculated, and a calculated opponent will beat you more times than an impulsive or irrational one.

The Studebaker Plant was a MILLION sq. ft. auto manufacturer that closed in 1963. That thing stood EMPTY my whole life as a big ugly broken-windowed reminder of lost jobs in South Bend. Pete was the first guy in 50 years to tackle it, and by working with Mike Pence and convincing him to direct efforts to help, it is now a beautiful tech facility with room to grow. There's more, but only so much space and all you required is one thing he did for the community... And it's a doozy.

Unfortunately thats the WORST possible conclusion you can come too. I like Pete alot. Great guy, open, honest, intelligent, eloquent.. But he has ZERO policies. Absolutely zero policies. He's waiting for the corporate donors to back him up before he decides what policies to gravitate too. Also.... I watched one of his interviews where he essentially implied he's been grooming to become a presidential candidate since day 1. Since he was a kid. There's nothing wrong with that ... except we now know this is his ambitions being a big primary motivator for running. Not the American people. The man's an intellectual, policy and data driven, sincere, looking to help the American people First..and completely VOID of identity politics. I've never seen someone who's been getting support from Alt right members AND black and other minority voters. You know why? He's a unifier. He addresses the core issues not the layers on top that distort perspectives and divides the country.

We used to volunteer to sort the donations on my deployment. Been doing that since 2007 in Kabul through the Chapman's office. I like Mayor Pete, now I like him even more.

Best interview I've seen in awhile. He served, I can appreciate that. Gives him insight to our world's issues.

Even if he doesn't win the nomination in 2020, Mayor Pete is -- for me -- a much-needed glimmer of hope for our future. Because amid our toxic and ever insufferable political landscape and discourse -- and yes, both sides are culpable -- Mayor Pete has an astounding ability to transcend. It's hard to define. In many ways it stems from a deep-seated moral core, an authenticity, a politician who actually entered politics for all the right reasons. Indeed, I was skeptical of Mayor Pete in the beginning. But I am not anymore.
