    @PeaceGirl2318

    @carolina hernandez But the "individual" is within the woman's body, therefore, it's her "property" so to speak. Abortion should be legal but there needs to be regulations. Regardless of if it's legal or not it's going to happen; sometimes the baby may kill the mother, or, the mother was raped and doesn't want to be reminded of that for the rest of her life. I'd rather them terminate the pregnancy than to let the child be abused or taken into child "protection" services. Now LATE term abortions should be illegal, that's practically murder.

    It’s not that simple. That’s like saying if killing is against your religion than don’t kill. The issue of abortion is more complicated because the government has to decide at what point in the pregnancy is the unborn baby considered to be a conscious human with civil rights

  • @Biscuitplease

    @Biscuitplease

    @@fineartist7456 that is not hard. Most medical physicians can decide that. No late term abortion exists without adequate medical reasons. Why? Because in most cases it dangerous for the mother to have an abortion once she has nested a full fetus. The only reason is because the fetus is dead or the child is not developing correctly. The arguments and threats come from churches claiming its against God but this is government ordeal no religion should entrench on civil rights of any one.

    Sorry Sunny and Peter. I can't be personally pro-life but politically pro-choice. Issues dealing with life and death have no middle ground. It's similar to slavery. I can't say personally I would never own a slave, but I don't want the gov't telling someone else they can't either. Or even with capital punishment. It doesn't work to say I don't want my state to use capital punishment, but it's okay if other states do. Murdering the unborn, enslaving the voiceless. Is it right or wrong? Am I for it or against it? Nuance doesn't work here.

    I don't understand the comments claiming she was arrogant and condescending or criticizing her for probing him. She wasn't being rude, in my opinion ('hard' but not mean, in my opinion). I don't think he had a problem with it either (if he's running for president it's only reasonable he explain to people what his position is. He's selling them his leadership). If we agree that third trimester fetuses are sentient and can feel pain and do feel pain as a result of abortion I don't understand how you can talk about empathy and ignore one of the individuals affected by a pro-choice policy (and it's not as though pro-choice on abortion people are consistently libertarian on all issues - not that this is an argument against abortion in itself. Neither is claiming that pro-life people don't care about what happens to infants once they're born). I'm not unsympathetic to the pro-choice argument (I'm pro-choice prior to whenever the fetus is capable of pain) - actually I don't want to get into this (basically I think how women are psychologically affected by not having access to abortion matters but I don't care about reproductive autonomy as an end in itself) and I don't have time but the idea of trusting a woman's decision is kind of vague and sentimental, in my opinion (sweet talk). Laws exist precisely because we don't necessarily trust people to make what we hold to be the best choices (and in consideration of a wide variety of situations, typical and atypical, and possible motivations for making any given choice). I was almost going to like the video based mostly on his brief comments on health care. I have no issue with him though (at the risk of undermining how callous and wrong I think not seriously considering fetal pain is).

My second child I was very ill with him and the doctors didn’t know if we both were going to survive. I went through so much fighting for his life! At one point, they wanted to operate while I was carrying him. My answer was no because of the fear I could loose him. I delivered a healthy baby boy on my birthday January 11th 2010. My point is, some families may have done the same as I did or terminated the pregnancy because of the medical risks but at least the woman has the right to choose. A woman does not have a 'choice' to kill a toddler so why would they have the 'choice' to kill a fetus if it is a human. Again, if it's not human, then who cares. To me that doesn’t make any sense that’s why CPS (child protective services , not sure if it’s called something different in other places) is a thing. That’s why I care just because it’s not my child doesn’t mean I should just not care maybe you’re ok with children being killed for no reason because someone has a choice to do so. A.J. Smith Thank you for correcting my grammar. I take grammatical errors on KZread very seriously. You have helped me improve as a human being. What would we do without hyper intelligent connoisseurs of hastily typed words such as yourself?

    They are talking about the Sanders supporters that on Twitter/KZread/Instagram troll Elizabeth's and Pete pages with ugly comments. They are so polarizing and full of hate just like in 2016. Ugly way to present Bernie and sad for our democracy.

    We're talking about your son's or your daughter's body. Not your body. Someone else's body inside your body. Your choice is whether or not to kill your own child. My son was over 7 pounds when he was born. My daughter was over 8 pounds at birth. My daughter looks a lot like me. We even entered a mother/daughter look-alike contest once. Maybe yours will have your eye and hair color. Could you really look your 7 or 8 pound deceased baby in the eyes, knowing you had killed him or her? Could you? You couldn't hold your baby inside you for just nine months, so that little person can live whatever life they have been given to live? Maybe, if you carry your baby for 9 months, he or she will live to be 90 years old! If you become pregnant, you won't be choosing whether or not to become a mother. You will already be a mother. Your "choice" is whether or not you will decide to become the mother of a dead baby. Not your body.

    And, if you have other children later, what will you tell them about what happened to their sibling they never got to meet? Or, will you lock that heavy load inside you and hope with all your being they never find out?
