John wanted something spicier. John used May and Cynthia as place holders. But, that is not what he wanted long term. John always wanted some kind of tension or voltage in his relationships. I was fortunate enough to be one of the musicians who performed at the after party at The Troubadour celebrating the release of May Pang’s documentary about John Lennon’s “Lost Weekend”. Between sets, Chris Carter came out and interviewed May on stage. She was awesome! She was so candid and so ernest and eloquent; and the crowd loved her. There was a time when the expression “you never know what goes on behind closed doors“ meant something. Nowadays, it seems like everything is out on the table, but May has weathered it all with a degree of humanity, class and style that is so rare and endearing. John and Paul, George, Ringo and Julian & Cynthia were very fortunate for the year and a half that May Pang was John’s life partner.

The trendency over recent years for everyone to reassess Yoko and almost see her as a saint. May Pang comes across in this footage as completely honest, very charming but most importantly honest. I for one believe everything says in this interview and that means a lot as i can be very cynical. 1. She did choose May. She wanted to control the situation. May says this directly in this interview. 2. Having watched and listened to her words about Yoko's - 'she scared lots of people in the house', and how 'very intimidating' she was and the phoning at 3 or 4 in the morning...This does not paint a picture of a kind person, even not a decent individual. Rather a controlling and cruel dominator. 3. Years on and Yoko ignore May completely, walking away and not even acknowledging her in a public accidental encounter - or near encounter. Paul over the years has bent over backwards to accommodate Yoko and even defends her to this day. I am not sure about if he may be doing so simply as Yoko is someone you don't want to stand up against. I was trying to ignore the vitriol and reassess Yoko and give her a more positive consideration. However, having watched this and the dignified sincerity of May Pang I can only be honest with myself and draw the conclusion that Yoko was and is the preying and controlling vulture she once was viewed as. I for one am not going to let her off the hook but n or am I going to blame Lennon for everything about that hedonistic time. With all his issues, and yes, he had many to deal with. he still was a grown adult and his behaviour towards those he should have loved most was terrible. How Julian managed to forgive Yoko after all she did is an amazing testament of his loving and very forgiving nature. I'll will always remember what May said in this interview regarding Yoko, ''she scared lots of people.' Not an good endorsement. I will not let others make me change my mind as May Pang was there at the time, in the house and being treated with contempt by a controlling narcissist. The one positive and a big one though is to see and listen to such a beautiful soul and intelligent, articulate mind. May Pang is delightful and dignified. What's more you don't get all the 'conceptual art' bulls*** that goes with Yoko.

*This is the truth about Yoko Ono.* Yoko Ono is a powerful witch. She used powerful occult energy, imperceptible to conventional people, to overpower and control John Lennon. The reason why her singing sounds like the wailing of a witch is because she is one. A normal person cannot make this sound, it is impossible. Yoko used to go to witches meetings in New York, driven there by her chauffeur. In Peter Jackson's 'Get Back' she appears to be just quietly sitting in the room, what she is actually doing is training powerful occult energy on John Lennon. A suitably gifted medium, psychic or shaman would be able to perceive this, conventional people would not. The reason why so many dislike her, some intensely, is because they are picking up on what she is. She is very, very with the dark side, or in biblical terms, the satanic side.

I always felt John was very Creative In this period . Mind Games to WALLS and Bridges To Rock n Roll Album. Fame with Bowie and his work with Harry Nilson. Yoko was very Controlling of John . Paul was lucky to have Linda . May is a gentle Soul . I believe John loved her. John loved Yoko as well. If John Stayed with MAY. I believe the BEATLES were on course to reform or have done something. John , Ringo and Paul were in LA. But Fate is a funny thing. I sometimes think what could have been.

1st of all Geraldo was kind of a D#%k, but that was the pull in 80s talk shows. I was born in 68' and some of my first memories are looking at the Sgt Pepper album like a picture book. In 1980 when I was 12 we lived in So CA, and my 6th grade teacher was very pretty and just 26 years old. My dad happened to be on business in NY when John Lennon got shot, and I made some stupid, 12 yr olds comment like I hope it wasn't my dad, and she was pissed at me. At 12 I very much knew who he was, and dbl fantasy was big at the time, etc, but I didn't understand the magnitude of how important JL was to people from say 25-40 at the time, and now I totally get it. True story and on that day, which would have been December 9th, 1980 my teacher should have probably stayed home, because she was that heartbroken over what had happened!
