I bought mine used in August. I finally got my license this month, first i was a bit sceptical if this bike was for me.. the shared design with the "maxiscooter" was a bit of a Turndown for me, and overall it looks a bit slow on videoes. But IRL, this bike is an overall Honda masterpiece, i really enjoy this, fast reacting, nimble low Center gravity workmachine, It does everything you ask it for almost perfect. imo we had inline four cb650 2018 at the school. But they were terrible to drive on at the highway, the truck turbulence was dragging the bike around, feels much heavier to steer/countersteer too.. but this one doesnt care much about turbulence, You dont feel it the same way at All. 👍

One thing about these big engines is cruising speed of 70mph is a piece of cake and the engine isn't even trying thus efficiency is at its best.

Meine 6 Jahre alteNC 700 S, ein Muster an Kultiviertheit und Bequemlichkeit, hab ich noch nie über 150 km/h getrieben. Schön, dass man hiermit Bescheid weiß, welches Potential noch möglich ist.

I have the same bike a 2013 model, had it up to 193 km/h. I live in Costa Rica and unfortunately we don't have the Autobahn here and so I could maintain the speed only for a brief moment. Awesome bike !!! Thanks for posting

The Noob Rider Sorry , never saw your response. I am not sure why, maybe some backwind that day..... Bike was stock at the time except for the GPR deeptone slip-on exhaust. Have since changed from 16/43 to 16/45 sprocket set since top end speed doesn't really matter here where I live. I do own also a 2014 NC750S that my local Honda dealer offered me at a very reasonable price with only 4000km . I didn't like the gearing on that one at all so I changed to 16/46 , stock is 17/43. Had to install a Speedo healer since the true speed was way off but the bike pulls like a train now and still does around 170km/h . Fast enough in a country with no highways. Hope you still enjoy the NC since I love mine.🏍 Safe rides and travels 👍🏍

Interesting. I reached 168km/h with my 2013 NC700S. The max speed in it's registration paper is 160km/h. There is a limiter device (as far as I could google) stated in the registration paper. I presumed it was bogus as the NN700s is A2 category from the factory. No sense in limiting it to A2 with that device... But now I'm starting to wonder. The bike is fast enough as is. But I'd like to ride it as Honda imagined it. I have to investigate.

I wonder what are vibrations like on normal 130-140kmh speeds or lower/higher?

Vibration is minimal. I have had Yamaha XS500 x 2, Honda 500 Four, Triumph 900 Sprint, Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster, Yamaha XV1100, Honda Transalp, 2018 BMW R1200RT (still have it) and 2016 Yamaha 900 Tracer. The NC700 is smooth all the way up to 160km. Never took it faster.

Kinda strange how mine will only do 171, time for me to lose weight it looks like (110kg)

I was 85kgs and i did 195 downhill in full tuck with the wind from behind. It was the absolute limit though

same here, but i ride with side cases, and top case; higher screen, with an extender on top of that. i think these also help to slow you down. wind drag

Also ich habe heute in der Fahrschule 178 geschafft und da lage ich schon fast komplett auf dem bike, wirklich mehr ging da dann nicht mehr :D

Interesting. At 6,000 rpm it's going 116.8 mph in 6th gear. At 6,000 rpm my Suzuki Vstrom was going 81 mph in 6th gear. I say "was" because I bought a Honda NC700X. Honda quit making the NC700S unfortunately.

I had my cb400 upto 184kmh on the Speedo.

Did u try to travel more than 500km on this bike ?

Sehr gut. Hab heute auch eine NC700X mit der DCT gekauft (durch einen Unfall ist normales Schalten nicht mehr möglich). Ist einfach ein schönes Motorrad! :)

Dont check with a GPS. You will be disapointed. Its at least 5% slower than speedo tells you :-) Got a NC700XA myself. Once did 171 on GPS

Hate that rev limiter. It's like Honda is treating us like babies who don't know to change gears or when... May have made sense for the DCT automatic gear version, but absolutely not on the manual version. Take some of the fun out of riding the bike for me...

160 comes in after a long wait with zero head wind, I love my nc but certainly not on the highway. I will definitely try reach 170 kmh not sure I can guarantee 175 indicated. 😅

@@Siergiej.Motorv могут быть разные передаточные числа. или просто чел мог пригнуться сжаться к мотоциклу, а вы нет. на такой скорости сопротивление воздуха играет большую роль.

@@bobofsideshow I've found mine very stable as it's a heavy bike, but yeah don't take a hand off at hight speeds, a bad bump in road will catch you out.

Dass das EINE Kraftfahrstraße ist, auf der außerorts genau wie auf Autobahnen kein Tempolimit gilt, ist dir aber schon aufgefallen? Das Schild siehst du bei 0:18
