If I were Maul I would dare to do the unthinkable: I would have contacted the jedi and reveal everything to them. Palpatine may be no fool, but I'm sure that this move would take him by supprise. Not even a Sith-Lord as powerfull as Sidious would be able to survive a battle with Yoda, Windu and the entire jedi council. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I respect that "Maul survived the Sarlacc" material is written well. The problem is it's basically incompatible with A New Hope bc of exactly this point. Maul snitches. There's no reason he would lack proof.

If disney made this into an episode, that would have been awesome. They made one episode for Revan but scrapped it. If only they kept it like they had 9 clones that survived order 66 and deserted in the original trilogy, but cut 6 of them out and had only rex, wolf, and gregor that survived.

I’m always rooting for Maul in any Maul comics or in the clone wars or rebels. I just love him. I like how he’s not as evil as other Sith he cares about his soldiers and his family and does anything he can to protect the people he loves. Unlike others like palpatine who just care about power and growth. Btw I know he’s not a Sith in this comic anymore.

Trust me....even if he did Sidious is a master of manipulation...it would do no good...the Jedi were so foolish and stupid...it would make no difference. Beyond that.....Sidious would have easily destroyed Maul if he felt he was ever going to do that.

its only 12 episodes. 8 of them has already been revealed as unfinished episodes. The other 4 are probably Siege of Mandalore arc so there is little chance this could end up in it.

Darth maul is so awesome but I think his most awesome quality is his tolerance to pain but he’s also got so much hatred and he’s incredibly strong in hand to hand combat

@@afrohighborn262 You're correct. Zabraks (sp?) have a high pain tolerance. However, Maul is just off the charts! His training was brutal. He was tortured and brought to near death multiple times. That only added to it. He was basically a machine. Only the strongest attacks could really hurt him.

i am honestly astonished that maul cared for the Mandalorians. sure they are replaceable to him or simply didn't care about their lives as much as his own, but he still does not want to see them killed. they fought for him and he fought with them.

I love how maul has a group of individuals that legitimately respect him.

Darth Maul should've been like all cheeky to dooku, taunting him of Qui-Gon's death.

They definitely are. Legends Mandos were the best soldiers/ killers in the galaxy wearing impenetrable armor.

I wish that Maul, his mother and his army could have defeated the Clone army or even Sidious himself. Talzin and Sidious were equal I believe. Sidious feared Talzin after all.

Beerus The God Of Destruction I have to say seeing grievous decimate the nightsisters did piss me off though mauls more my favorite then grievous partly because he fights with a shred of pride unlike grievous.

This is a badass story, good job summarizing it.

Funny line in plagueis especially the audiobook which is on KZread palpatine talking to Darth Plagueis and they change plans after palpatine had just sent Maul to another system to do some maul stuff and the new plan canceled that trip so palpatine says to plagueis "I'll Recall Maul" It rhymes and in palpatine voice its great..

The Deathwatch have the best soldier design hands down

People underestimate the Death Watch. I have heard them called Mandolarian wanna bes, but they represent their warrior heritage well.

It has to be a part of Clone Wars but Disney cancelled two and half from eight seasons of that show and series ended on cutted season six. Because of that, peoples who doesn't read books or comics (and there's a lot of them) doesn't know how stories of Ahsoka, Maul and Ventress ended. If you want to know what happen between animated part of Clone Wars and episode 3, read Son of Dathomir (4 issue comic), Dark Disciple (book about Ventress and Voss) and Ahsoka (book about final batte of Clone Wars when Ahsoka was fighting Maul on Mandalore). Or you can just wait when Disney will show mercy to fans and finally let someone to make movie or animated series showing Son of Dathomir, Dark Disciple and Siege of Mandalore.

Unfortunatly no. Season 7 will start short after the events of this comic, and it will only have 3 arcs of 4 episodes each: bad batch, ahsoka's walkabout, and the siege of mandalore.

I've just finished reading SW: "The Wrath of Darth Maul" and the only weakness that Maul had is his shattered mind. Like Anakin Skywalker Maul was robbed of his childhood and Sidious was all he knew in the father figure role.
