You gotta thank the maker for bringing Maul back in Clone Wars. He's been easily one of the most fleshed out characters throughout the animated series & comics. I still remember reading that "Star Wars: Visionaries" comic where he flies out of the sand to fight Kenobi. I always wanted him back. I'm glad George felt the same!

@@justaman9564 “in canon” Nobody cares about Disney canon. Son of Dathomir is part of the legends timeline as well. It was part of the unreleased episodes from the ACTUAL season 7 that Lucas had already almost completed that disney then destroyed and remade their own terrible version in “canon”…. The only good episodes in the entire season were that last 2, that is literally it…. Son of Dathomir here was great because it was made by LUCAS. TCW S1-6 are all legends, along with son of Dathomir and the other unreleased episode reels that didn’t get made into a comic like this one. They just called it “clone wars legacy” and published it in the unfinished reels. But it’s still part of legends and canon both. But like I said, who really gives any sort of a damn about Disney’s canon. I go solely by legends. The ACTUAL Star Wars timeline.

And as people care greatly about Star Wars we have to work with the canon we have even though most don’t count the sequels as ‘their Star wars’, and definitely not ‘our Luke’.

Everything is divided at the moment probably will be divided forever because there is like 3 generations of Star Wars fans and they all believe in different things plus theres the EU fans as well. One side thinks they are the majority but at the end of the day a ton people attend these Star Wars conventions and a ton of people do still care about Star Wars. The Mandolorian is like one of the most popular shows on TV right now. The only way if people stop caring is if Disney Star Wars stops making content and money which hasn't happened yet.

It's a shame some of Maul's proudest moments are in comics and as such most viewers will never read. I miss you, Son of Dathomir

this whole skirmish makes absolutely NO SENSE. Son of Dathomir takes place months before ROTS, it really doesn't make sense for maul facing and incapacitating one mid-tier Form V Jedi Master and a high-tier Form VII Jedi Master with a variant specifically created to combat Darksiders, then get hit by a slow ass Mando rocket like they haven't sensed them or dealt with them in their 3+ years fighting in the clone wars. then on to the next pointless nerf of Obi-Wan having trouble deflecting force lightning like its the first time or something, but what makes that even worse when you think about it, you had two Jedi absorbing the electrical current so it should've been easy for them to at least put up a challenge. Tiplar getting killed is really the only part of the skirmish that makes sense as Dooku for outclasses her as a duelist. this whole scenario seemed like the writer wanted to nerf the Jedi just to showcase Maul and deploy a plot device in order for them to escape.

I find it interesting, how abandonment, rejection, are simply ways of Sith, yet Maul can't really accept that, he's emotional in a way that's rather rare for Siths, he simply seem to treat Sidious like a father that rejected him, and wants to revenge for that rejection.

he trained maul since he was a child and subjected him to very harsh training, he would torture him and make him train under lethal circumstances, he had him kill his only friend. he made him very powerful much like vader like so maul psyche is completely broken.

@@gladdy6412 i feel like the fuel that made maul incredibly powerful was kenobi, just the sheer thought of him. on mandalore he straight up force choked him. a feat we have only seen from dooku. he was yodas second and dooku was straight drained from that feat while maul could do it like nothing.

When you think of all the possible amazing match-ups... there could be endless epic fight scenes.

Unless he gets a beloved TV live action series or animated one his time is about to come for a while in the coming years let them have what they want good or bad. I mean these next few years could be the last time we see him so focused on maybe in our lifetime. If Disney does what most companies do to franchise characters including Disney. I mean it's the main reason most DC fans are tired of seeing Batman!! DC won't just let him chill for a while focus on another popular character like Superman!! They are tired of seeing Batman every f'ing where they want to see something new. They want to see the creators and actors try a new challenge with a different character. Also with directors like James Gunn out there DC fans really wanna see what some of the talented people of Hollywood could do with superman or even green lantern. @@theserpent8667 I mean yeah, the crystal crisis or the dark discipline are on paper maybe more excited. But the sister arc was also necessary for Ashokas development as a character. She finally realizes that her decision to go away from the Jedi order was justified. That the Jedi really lost their ways and so on. I like this sister arc honestly, but when I instead could have crystal crisis or another arcs we never got, I would be pleased to switch. 😅 It’s really sad that Disney gave us just a half session! They could easily put all this missing arcs in season 7. But yeah, we got what we’ve got.

I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. @Ribbotto Studios True. Having Anakin fight and kill Dooku was his final test in terms of skill. Being able to defeat one of the best duelists and 3rd or 4th most powerful being in the galaxy at that point was what Palpatine needed to know Anakin was ready to be his apprentice

Mace could probably beat every Jedi and Sith in his time thanks to Vaapad. In terms of raw physical prowess and skill in form 7 I think Maul has it over Mace but Mace would still win in the end.

In the ROTS Novel, Mace implies he'd lose to Obi-Wan because Obi-Wan is the essential antithesis of the opponents Vaapad would be effective against. Yoda would overpower him. And Grandmaster Luke, in the EU, was just a walking trove of literal plot armour and would aromise him with a thought.

I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. Such a shame that Count Dooku didn’t take advantage of all of his resources and use them for his own cause. If he used the Separatist army against the Republic in a more “real” war, he probably could’ve defeated the Republic and brought down Sidious. Would be an interesting What If

Remember that Clone Wars epusode where Sidious casually choked Dooku form lightyears away? Dooku being his apprentice, Sidious could have annihilated him at any time. You vastly overestimate his significance. Trust Sidious to have planted some sort of failsafe, some deactivation code for the droid army, or whatever plot device necessary. Dooku as a character never has any agency; he only exists to act as an obstacle for Anakin.

@Count Saruman Then Dooku would just need to avoid anymore calls with him😂. Maybe you vastly underestimate him, it’s possible but unlikely Sidious had the time to oversee an override of the droid army. If Dooku as a character has zero agency then Sidious would’ve never been threatened by Dooku having apprentices like Ventress. Also while I grant I’m not an expert on the logistics of the force, when Sidious choked him, his force shield was likely down as he was not expecting to be attacked

weird that Obi-wan’s eyes were welling with tears when Tiplee died. Like, since when is he that emotional? Adi Gallia died in front of his eyes and he didn’t cry. Maybe its just all the pent up stress and trauma of the war up to this point, especially given that the incident with Tiplar dying only happened shortly before this comic.

they nerfed the hell outta him. the fight was entirely inconsistent with their respective powers and abilities during this particular time. you figure Son of Dathomir takes place several months prior to ROTS, the Jedi have been dealing with Mandolorians, Sith and Dark Jedi acolytes for the past 3 years, makes no sense for Ayla and Mace to get K.Oed so easily, and also doesn't make sense that Obi-Wan complemented with another Jedi wasn't able to easily deflect force lightning like he did when he was first faced Dooku in AOTC. I feel like there were way too many inconsistencies in this scenario in order to showcase Maul, being that this is his comic.

@Bob The Goat Actually that’s blown out of proportion. Palpatine says Maul was a loss but that Dooku was a proton torpedo, but that doesn’t mean what everyone thinks it does. When Palpatine took Maul as an apprentice Anakin wasn’t even born. So Maul was seen as the best candidate for the apprentice. However, when Palpatine took Dooku as his apprentice, he had it in mind immediately that he would eventually be replaced with Anakin. Had events played out differently and Maul had been Sidious’s apprentice up to the Clone Wars, I guarantee to you that Palpatine would orchestrate Maul’s death at Anakin’s hand. Just as was done to Dooku

@@yourfatherwhowenttogetmilk7201 Yes Palpatine would always want Anakin to be his apprentice since Anakin was the chosen one and would be way more powerful than Maul ever would be.... but the thing is if Maul had 13 years of training instead of being in the cave he might have taken Anakin as his apprentice instead of Anakin being Sidious apprentice... Maul without dying in episode 1 due to his arrogance would have probably kidnapped and trained Anakin till Anakin gets unleashed and rips apart the galaxy
