The Empire State Building was erected in 3 months. 9 months of relatively NOTHING done in Lahaina. The National Guard should of been working around the clock, volunteers should of been in there, business owners, property owners, etc. Don't given me this bullcrap about "things are getting done". They are stalling - hoping the people go broke and go away.

I’m in Lahaina this week. We were at Honokowai Beach Park about an hour ago and met a woman with her granddaughter who said they were fire victims. They’re being housed across the street for one year, and were previously put up at the Hyatt. She literally had tears in her eyes while pushing her granddaughter on the swing. Completely heart broken for them and all the victims. Because they truly are VICTIMS of this CRIME. Thank God they have housing but what happens next year when the time limit ends??? 💔

The regulations and permits circus is being done on purpose and no company or bank has any compassion for a reason, they play on the same team, team evil. The powers that shouldn't be are trying to squeeze everyone until they give up and leave. There's plenty of willing man power to help rebuild and materials can be brought by barge (unless it crashes into a bridge🙄) I think people need to take matters into their own hands, we all know they will build back better with their smart (dumb) city plans and the people will never have a home there again.

Mahalo for your continued updates, Eric. Heart-breaking to watch. They don't want any citizens or business owners back here, rebuilding. It's 'pay your mortgage (on what's left of your property) till we bleed you dry' and hope you move away in the meantime.... Unbearably sad. Nowt is happening to help the people get re-homed.... that was part of the plan too.

Meanwhile in Gaza, amongst an active war zone, a massive area that was the bombed out remains of a densely packed city, has already been completely cleared and leveled and infrastructure put in place for a 300 million dollar port and floating pier. A huge untapped oil reserve in the proximity has nothing to do with it though, it’s for humanitarian aid. That should tell you everything you need to do know folks.

I forget the name of the trees at the Prison, but in the day the leaves are open for shade, and at night the leaves close to expose the Stars. The Hawaiian name for the tree relates to the stars.
