Thank you for the update on Baby Beach. I lived on Kamaka and walked with my dog every morning and evening on Baby Beach for 12 years before and after work in the 90’s. He loved that beach as did I.
Thanks so much for sharing. PRAYERS for all Lahina families. Lahina Strong. Can't wait for the rebuild process, like a Phoenix it will rise from the ashes. Mahalo

@plaidovershirt Thank you !!!
Thanks for the focus on this area. Glad to hear the progress on clean-up.
Thank you for your videos. They capture the history of the tragedy that happened in Lahaina. And the resilience of the community to recover. In my opinion, the videos reinforce the moto "Maui Strong." These videos are important to show history for future generations. They videos are a historical time capsule that will be valuable to visually show the story instead of the verbal description of the tragedy. Your videos are inspiring, and get the progress out to the world of the strength and progress that isn't being followed on the news or other media. I appreciate all your hard work and videos. Time will validate the importance of your videos. You can't please everyone, but your videos are historic and heartwarming to see the progress. I feel the videos honor the loved ones who were lost in the tragedy. "MAUI is STRONG". THANK YOU.

I grew up in Maui before moving to Ca. Most locals hated the tourists. But the fires finally humbled them and made them realize they need tourists for money. God tryna tell em something
Once again Jesse, Mahalo for the great work. Keep sending updates!

Thank you for the update. It's much appreciated. My heartfelt thoughts are with everyone experience profound loss.
Thank you once again for the updates. They are our primary source of information for progress - which is ongoing and seems very promising.
Thank you
Thank you. In March 2023 we were in Kaanapaali, and I flew my drone here over this very area. Keep up these updates.

Thanks, will do!
thank you. This breaks my heart as I visited that buddhist temple with my family back in 2021. The Japanese keeper was so sweet, her dad and her came out to say hi and gave us some mangoes. I"m so sad right now. I hope Lahaina and people of Maui come back stronger than ever.
Well done. So happy to see my fave beach🥰
Mahalo for your updates!!
Thank you Jesse, you are awesome ❤

Thank you very much!
Thank you for the update.
Baby beach reminds me of the summer love I met in Maui and the special places he took me that weren't tourist spots. He lived in the last house on Front street across from the ocean but sadly I lost touch after the house was destroyed by a tropical storm.
Appreciate the update!
heart full prayer to you...Maui. May light of day grant you courage and night wish you wisdom..
Mahalo for update. As a local woman born and raised on Kaua’i and I have Ohana and Friends on Maui this update has helped me to see the progress. Keep up the good work 🤙🏾 peace and blessings.
Really appreciate your time for doing these updates! Thank you so much! My body is in California but my soul is forever in Maui! Mahalo!
Thank you very much for the updated video. Please let me know when if there will be an update video of Kelawea Mauka at Kaakolu street. Thanks again and God Bless always!
Maui is our favorite place to vacation and we are going to miss the old Maui when we get there. It’s also sad that every time I see live shots of the front street area I don’t see heavy equipment, I don’t see dump trucks or massive amounts of workers. WHY?

the locals gave up. they finally realized they needed the tourists to thrive on Maui. I grew up in Maui before moving to Ca and one thing i knew is that locals HATE tourists.
Thank you for your updates. Wish we could see more about what's going on on the news. But of course that's being checked. Still can't believe the government only gave you only $700 each. What happened to the children? Are they okay? We are all wondering here in Virginia
Thank you for the video. Keep them coming.
It's great to see the progress made in Lahaina. Hopefully the people in Sulphur and other towns destroyed by this spring's tornadoes will receive the same government help that Lahaina has gotten to rebuild.
Great news on the first approval for rebuilding
Thanks for the video, it's insane to me the lack of urgency in getting people's lives and homes rebuilt. 9 months after the fire and the FIRST permit has been approved for a reconstruction? Disgraceful.

Yes, very unfortunate, distasteful and typically disgraceful (when referncing gov’t agencies and their… “efficiency”)… but do keep in mind, there has been a quite a bit of remediation to the whole townsite beginning with the waste/debris removal and the soils. Yes, Hawaii is profoundly slow and inefficient… but anywhere complete devastation occurs is going to be a LONG road to recovery.

So you want people building their homes in toxic waste
Please show 1028 Wainee..Piilani Housing
Mahalo it is impotent that we keep Lahaina and its residents moving forward but not forgetting the past
Still praying for all keep it going. Also for Truth
I would expect Kaanapali style high rise resort development in this area. That's what the BIG money and power brokers would want - at the expense of the original land owners.

I suspect that big money may run into big obstacles - like zoning, legal challenges, and public outcry from near and afar.

Could see the whole world joining in and invoiced their opinion if they try to pull a fast one with high-rises and extreme density in that area. It belongs to all of the people that live there prior if they wish to sell their properties that’s one thing but what happened is a catastrophe those homeowners are heroes all
I cant believe its been nine months!
Planet Earth!
People who disobeyed in Lahaina survived
I got married on baby beach. It’s such a sad feeling seeing this destruction.
I used to bring my kids to Baby Beach without any worry of being swept away.
you will find that older aloha experience if you keep looking
Thx for posting, yes! Say...can you share info on the drone being used? *TIA*
Watching this video begs so many questions, seeing so many homes incinerated NEXT to homes that took no damage is just unfathomable. How... how can heat hot enough to level a home to nothing, not have any effect on homes right next to it. Ask the Air Force Research Lab on Maui... 🤐

It wasn’t a natural fire. It was planned by the greedy and corrupt politicians and outsider. It was a land grab, and they murdered many people who were trying to flee! Whole families and innocent children and pets! The fire was not a regular wildfire, as they have put that out to the media and public as it being. It was too hot for a wild fire and it burned things like cars to melt car. Not a true Wildfire as they pushed on the residents and the world! It’s sickening! Maui no ka oi!
Hi Jesse. I would like to ask you a question and I would like you to give me your honest opinion. How long should a tourist wait before coming to Maui so that they won't have an unfavorable impact on the local people who are still trying to recover from the fire? And are there areas of the Island that are ready to receive visitors now?
How about The Bakery on the upper side of the Hwy?
What I realized that before the fire, most locals hated the tourists. It’s like they needed the fire to realize their income is based off of tourism. That’s unfortunate.
So the homes that are intact survived? When can they go back?
Are you saying it’s open to local families?
Im born and raised in Az, Ive visited and lived in maui since 94 , I love Maui. Its disgusting that this administration didnt step in too build lahaina back.
Getting no global news on this cover up
Why aren't they clearing all the properties? Private pay?
Where were the firemen? The police? Was everyone asleep during the night? I have seen a few videos on the fire, but I haven't found out how it was possible for the fire to spread over all the area without anybody intervening.
This was no accident and people (residents) are still not allowed to go to their properties.

That's why it's not renovated yet. I thought people could just go and clean their places. They would have finished by now.
The arsenic levels are so high..30 minutes in the ocean you will have arsenic poisoning
