Thank you for the update on Baby Beach. I lived on Kamaka and walked with my dog every morning and evening on Baby Beach for 12 years before and after work in the 90’s. He loved that beach as did I.

Thank you for your videos. They capture the history of the tragedy that happened in Lahaina. And the resilience of the community to recover. In my opinion, the videos reinforce the moto "Maui Strong." These videos are important to show history for future generations. They videos are a historical time capsule that will be valuable to visually show the story instead of the verbal description of the tragedy. Your videos are inspiring, and get the progress out to the world of the strength and progress that isn't being followed on the news or other media. I appreciate all your hard work and videos. Time will validate the importance of your videos. You can't please everyone, but your videos are historic and heartwarming to see the progress. I feel the videos honor the loved ones who were lost in the tragedy. "MAUI is STRONG". THANK YOU.

I grew up in Maui before moving to Ca. Most locals hated the tourists. But the fires finally humbled them and made them realize they need tourists for money. God tryna tell em something

Maui is our favorite place to vacation and we are going to miss the old Maui when we get there. It’s also sad that every time I see live shots of the front street area I don’t see heavy equipment, I don’t see dump trucks or massive amounts of workers. WHY?

Yes, very unfortunate, distasteful and typically disgraceful (when referncing gov’t agencies and their… “efficiency”)… but do keep in mind, there has been a quite a bit of remediation to the whole townsite beginning with the waste/debris removal and the soils. Yes, Hawaii is profoundly slow and inefficient… but anywhere complete devastation occurs is going to be a LONG road to recovery.

Watching this video begs so many questions, seeing so many homes incinerated NEXT to homes that took no damage is just unfathomable. How... how can heat hot enough to level a home to nothing, not have any effect on homes right next to it. Ask the Air Force Research Lab on Maui... 🤐

It wasn’t a natural fire. It was planned by the greedy and corrupt politicians and outsider. It was a land grab, and they murdered many people who were trying to flee! Whole families and innocent children and pets! The fire was not a regular wildfire, as they have put that out to the media and public as it being. It was too hot for a wild fire and it burned things like cars to melt car. Not a true Wildfire as they pushed on the residents and the world! It’s sickening! Maui no ka oi!

Hi Jesse. I would like to ask you a question and I would like you to give me your honest opinion. How long should a tourist wait before coming to Maui so that they won't have an unfavorable impact on the local people who are still trying to recover from the fire? And are there areas of the Island that are ready to receive visitors now?
