Going to try this in the summer on my 2006 Focus Ghias undamaged but flaky wheels.Looked at lots of videos doing this and your method looks the most straightforward and clear explanation instead of horrible music.Helpful and informative as always.Thanks.

I would have done the same routine EXCEPTi would have arranged all the bricks behind you into a pillar to raise the wheel up to a comfy working height, easier on the back, knees and eyes.

Cool vid. One question though. Aren't alloys usually powder coated. Will standard spray paint chip and wear quickly being so low to the ground?

Brilliant video and technique! I've just followed this almost to the letter but DON'T do what I did and skimp on the prep - the result is all down to the amount of sanding! I did most of the job with 80 then didn't do a lot of the 120, now my wheels look all scratched and I think I'm gonna have to do them again... also got loads of the filler on the outside of the rim, what a ball ache to get off! Thanks for the vid!

How much tins of each would I need for all 4 rims? My alloys are more or less in perfect condition, will I only need to use 80 and 120 sand paper? Thinking of doing mine for something to do during this shenanigans haha

For 100% results, the paint should be left arround 3-7 days to dry and sit properly. This if you don't have a oven to dry the paint much faster. Only after that, you can apply laque, this will be the only and the best way to do them. Took me arround 1week to completely do them properly.
