    Cuz they smarten up and realize what a cesspool they’re in. Conservatives carry life protecting tools and rationale. People without pride and ego issues, unlike the left, are capable of humbling themselves to get “righted” by whatever means necessary. That’s the simple truth. They’re helpful. They directly, themselves, with their time and resources help vulnerable people. Which we all are. The only way to be invulnerable is to make yourself completely vulnerable to absolute truths. This is how Jesus lived, which is displayed throughout the Bible. And at this point I said Jesus and Bible and you checked out because you’re left wing as described above. You are non-helpable and unhelpful to those that may need you, cuz all you can think about is yourself. The Bible is a tool that helps people not think of themselves all the time. The left either doesn’t understand this or dismisses it, lead by pride/ego/laziness/ignorance/bitterness/hate…

    Its crazy to me how people like JBP and Matt will cry out how their freedom of speech is being taken away, or how people are too sensitive to things they do/say... YET when people use their own freedom of speech to express their opinions agains them, all the sudden they want people to shut up or keep it to them selves. They only care about freedom of speech when they are talking or when they agree, but if someone else dares to disagree with them, then that freedom no longer applies to them. Matt literally saying that the people that don't like him could just ignore him and not talk about him, when he literally made jokes about things he doesn't like in his special... when every comedian I've ever seen makes jokes/talks about things they don't like.... I don't care what the joke was about, but its the hypocrisy of his statements that bother me... the lack of self-awareness (or perhaps they just don't care)

    Ethan should know why Jordan is saying what he's saying. It's the same reason why Ethan got so defensive and upset after people tried to cancel him for the tops & bottoms joke. It's totally dishonest to act like situations like this aren't a big deal. Ethan took it as a big deal when he went through his own previous backlash after he said something offensive. He wasn't so thrilled when people got on him for his other jokes like the Ben Shapiro Holocaust joke, the QT Cinderella joke, and the bomb jokes that he's made. This self-serving hypocrisy is why so many people find him disingenuous when he criticizes other people for the same things he does. Just don't be surprised and angry when the mob twists your words again when you've actively downplayed situations like this. Just look at your feud with Hasan. Jordan warned you, afterall.

  • @melBea123

    @melBea123

    I see your point but, if you need to be perfect in order to critize someone then nobody would be able to say something negative about someone else ever again. And not sure why Jordan is making a big deal out of this when Rife , the actual person affected, is the one downplaying it. I know why, it made him 1.4 M views...

  • @strikers22X

    @strikers22X

    7 ай бұрын

    @@melBea123 For sure, I wasn't saying that Ethan has to be perfect so that he could criticize someone. I was getting at the point that Ethan is clearly upset and makes every excuse when he gets reactions like this. Yet, Ethan changes the standard by downplaying the situation when his enemy pushes back against the same kinds of mischaracterizations and reactions. In other words, Ethan is operating on a bad faith bias that he doesn't even hold himself too which is why he's so disingenuous. He doesn't need to be perfect. Ethan just needs to be sincere, hold to a good faith consistent standard of integrity, and needs to listen to when people criticize his biases. Rife may have downplayed the situation but I think Jordan is taking it seriously since Jordan has received the same kind of reaction and mischaracterizations. I think Jordan sees these mischaracterizations as the set-up for cancel culture since it's easy to inaccurately vilify someone and call for a witch hunt of sorts. I think Jordan is trying to push against that, so we all don't get cancelled on that basis. That's what Ethan was downplaying when he knows full well that it's happened to him before when he's gotten cancelled for jokes. Just look at how shook Ethan was after he got cancelled for his tops and bottoms joke. He wasn't downplaying it as, "God forbid a comedian gets cancelled." He sat there pitying himself for what he had to go through. That's not only hypocritical, it's also narcissistic. Which is why it's so dishonest and it ignores a very real issue. Sure, views may partly motivate Jordan but it's obvious that anyone in politics wants to get views so that their message can get out there and so that they can gain monetary support for their cause. That's how you sustain your cause. Everyone does this whether they're left, right, or in between.

    What I think is gonna happen is that some of the women who supported Matt will no longer listen and Matt will get new supporters who are the men who listen to the manosphere/black pill genre and he will end up with more men in his audiences at his shows. Now I don't know if this was his intention, as his specials before this did have jokes that were risky, but it does seem like he is leaning into the possibility that it might make his supporters more 50/50 men and women vs. mostly women which is what I saw previously. Also this whole situation adds a layer that Matt is know mostly on tik tok/Instagram etc. for crowd work and this special had none. Which shifts the comedy that he is doing.

    The Jordan Peterson show as an art piece is actually comedy gold, he has famous and talented guests on that want to promote something and he proceeds to talk at them about something he doesn't understand and people keep on coming.

    It never ceases to amaze me how insightful, intelligent, and introspective Ethan is… truly a philosopher ahead of his time that only in later years will we look back upon and realize the true meaning of his words. Never let cancel culture get to you ethan… never stop speaking the real truth that young men need…

    @INTHEMIX74 agreed, and I have to assume the original comment is trolling, There isn't a person on this platform that is actually "amazed at how insightful, intelligent, and introspective Ethan is" LMFAO these are all opposites of his actual character, literally made me laugh out loud

    @@INTHEMIX74no it's the other way around. He was getting like that for a second after Frenemies when after a few "Cancellations" he would play the politically correct cancelation apology game and then one day by the 3rd time he just stopped doing that and started owning his actions and didn't give a crap anymore and that's when he started getting really funny. Even way funnier than his beginnings because now he is way bolder and way more on the fringe. Respectfully, I believe you're still in your biased first opinion about Ethan that you thought sounded clever and completely missed the part where Ethan is way past that now.

    There’s a whole added layer, in just assuming that a woman who has a black eye MUST have been hit by their partner. When my son was 3 years old, he jumped up as I was bent over dressing him and he gave me a nice shiner. EVERYBODY at work, or in public automatically assumed that I had been beat up by my partner. Even when explaining what happened, I still got comments of “are you sure” you know you can tell me. As somebody who had been a DV survivor, there’s nothing more infuriating than someone continuously bringing up such a triggering subject, based off of pure assumption.

    Wow the comment sections, what an echo chamber. You know this they are just milking Matt Rife right? There are “joke” you can’t take, “women” can’t take, “black people” can’t take, but did the “DV victims” speak up for them? A comedian juts can’t care about everyone single one of you, just turn around and live your wonderful life💃

    I wanna hear what the hostess with the black eye has to say. Unless he just made up that story. This is the thing, people joke about shit like this all the time. When I call my best friend a dirty whore, I don’t really think she is, it’s just a term of endearment between us. If I met a person that I couldn’t even joke around with in a non pc way, I wouldn’t be friends with them. I believe in being a good person and treating people respectfully, but some people just wanna bitch to bitch

    I watched about 5600 minutes of jordan's podcast over the last year, got sucked into his political science a lot more than I wanted to. He's just a really angry dude with more opinions than facts. I'm so glad I stopped listening to him because I would come home from work shaking from how much fear and anger he stirs up.

Why is he acting like you laugh at every single joke in stand up... That is not how it works. I enjoy a ton of stand up that I dont laugh at. Im not over here laughing at every single joke ever. I dont get people. It feels like everyone just wants to be right and ignore what its all really about..
