I have done an 180 and are against loli porn, its straight up an addiction that skews the line between fiction and reality. The very first video H3 did covered the context. Every single panelist understood the cobalt analogy and pointed out idiotic the argument was. In the "Context" video, Vaush rehashes the same stuff, except with 3x more words and infinitely more condescension and pretention. Finally arriving at "I now believe this was not a good argument" and then a further long winded explanation of points that were immediately obvious to every other person in the world except Vaush. That's why Ethan cut it off.

He was spamming words like a 9th grader tasked with filling up pages. The child labor argument did not need "context", Vaush's point was obvious even from the edited clip and the flaws with "CP is a commodity just like semiconductors" are so glaring that someone with respect for his audience would not even state them. And Vaush spent literally 15 minutes on that. It was the most ironically titled video in KZread history because it was just a guy trying to sound reasonable and ASMR his core audience for long enough to make them forget the "Context" of the FOLDER.

Heres one piece of info, i have severe trauma from CSA and ive been to many many support groups and in so many instances that trauma manifests as attraction to children in adulthood because if you were abused by adults, your brain rewires to have attraction to the opposite of what hurt you. Most people who experience that because of trauma never act on it and are disgusted with themselves but never get help due to shame. That is a bad thing, when people who are hurt feel ashamed to get help. Theres also OCD which can give you disgusting intrusive thoughts against your will

That sort of psychological redirection and deflection is certainly possible. I have an alternative theory on why "victims" are more likely to "victimize" later on, though, particularly in cases where the child saw himself/herself as a willing, consenting participant. Sex is, in itself, generally a pleasurable activity. Outside of circumstances that are immediately traumatic (like violent, non-consensual contact), the feelings generated are remembered by the child. After growing up, the now adult then views children within the context of those past feelings and memories. Perhaps those feelings and memories are being projected onto others. Mind you, I think the age of consent is a debatable topic that is owed way more nuance than it's given. Not all CSA is the same, and sometimes the difference between "CSA" and "consensual activity" can be a matter of one day. But, if I had to speculate on why people who were previously considered victims sometimes become perpetrators, I would suggest psychological projection as one possible cause.

Even in a world where any outcome is possible for any event, even in the infinitesimally small chance that the outcome is positive it would still be wrong from an Act Utilitarian standpoint. I mean he pretty much addressed the loli stuff. He said he didn't realize the character in the one image was a loli because he was carelessly saving horse hentai and other stuff while browsing twitter, and that there are fake images being sent around that people claim he had in his folder. Maybe we can't know with 100% certainty what the truth is, but if he IS telling the truth, what more is there to say than what he already discussed in his response?

I've been a fan of both you guys and Vaush for a long time (H3 since 2015 Vaush since 2020) so I've reserved judgment to see how Vaush would respond and how Ethan would react to that. Ethan skipping so much of Vaush's response and literally mid explanation constantly pausing and making sarcastic comments not letting him finish really rubbed me the wrong way. In particular the Mr Girl segment just being entirely skipped when that was one of the examples Ethan pointed to as Vaush CLEARLY liking kids (going as far to say "he wants to f- 14 year olds") when in reality Vaush literally calls out Mr Girl for being very creepy about the subject and when it goes off the rails with the "what color underwear" question he flat out ends the conversation in disgust. I feel like Vaush was very thorough in his response, takes accountability where he needs to, and disproves the things that are clearly taken out of context to the point where the full context reveals anti-cp stances. So it really breaks my heart that Ethan is acting the way he is here. I hope you guys reconsider especially since I've seen first hand just how much YOU were taken out of context when all the drama KZreadrs came out against you years ago, and when they brought up your past (the n/f slur thing) to say you're a hypocrite when you actually grew as a person and changed your views. Like... I just don't understand why you're acting this way given what you've been through.

Believe it or not I don't get a ton of enjoyment going back and forth on why I think x person did/didn't do something especially when I'm 90 percent sure there isn't anything I can say that's going to change anyone's mind. I brought up that I'm a fan of H3 as well, for a longer period of time even, to show that I'm not coming in with hate for either creator and hoping you guys would give me a bit of good grace. The most I interacted with his community, was the KZread comment section with small debates here and there. That being said, a lot of Vaush fans say Ethan took it out of context, when the context was provided. When I ask them what the missing context was, I never got an answer.Some even told me it's ok to have drawings of children, because it's "just a drawing" and it's not against the law. When I hear these excuses, I understand why Vaush's fans are labeled as pedos, and I understand why Ethan is going hard on Vaush. I believe Vaush did a good job at helping young people escape the alt right pipeline, I believe he did a lot of good. But as a fan, I am not obligated to defend this.This is disgusting and this is Vaush's responsibility. I might watch him for his political videos, but won't be engaging with his streams and chat.

To be honest I think that someone needs to call police and let them go trough the hard drive.

I really grown to like Ethan through Vaush and found out about him through Vaus chanel. I dont consider myself a Vaush fan I watch occassional video here and there... I've been a fan of H3 since the Hugh Mungus days and a fan of Vaush since roughly 2021. Seeing this whole thing play out has been disappointing on so many layers. Watching both creators' content, I'm so sad to see Ethan behave this way. He's demonstrated great personal insight and empathy for others, and for it he's grows into a better person. I was appalled at the first video about Vaush because I was already familiar with the clips and Vaush's response to them, and was just shocked to hear the H3 crew who I've come to greatly respect present Vaush's arguments so inaccurately, especially the Mr Girl video. And then I was disappointed with Vaush's nigh temper-tantrum of not wanting to watch or talk about the H3 video, all while shutting down conversation from his concerned chat. I think the absolute lowest point as an H3 fan was when someone in the crew made fun of Vaush's writing and grammar in texts - as in it was proper English. That moment was personally painful to me, who grew up a nerdy kid who liked to read, because the crew sounded exactly like my childhood bullies. I can look past different opinions and controversial choices and bizarre kinks, but that moment of insulting someone for using complete sentences gutted me. It was like H3 announcing they did not care to understand the person they were talking to. Such a heart-breaking moment from someone as empathetic and insightful as Ethan. Using the soundboard over Vaush talking through his thoughts struck that same cord of willful misunderstanding. And mean. So disappointing all around.

Yeah as someone with autism I remember the feeling of a group of people all deciding in unison you were no longer a real human, and thus subject to whatever they wanted to say about you. That feeling eventually manifested into BPD. Followed by all of the fans taking it face value and literally saying "This person is a danger to children in real life based on this information I received" pushes this past irresponsible into dangerous. Especially given Ethan has literally admitted to jerking off to hentai, and jerking off to a 17 year old character who he described as hot. It's disingenuous behavior from unserious people. But it still has ramifications. These people will grow up to be reactionaries of a different type, they're not really interested in politics outside of drama.

Sometimes extremity is used to show the clearest the distinctiveness between two ideas. He stated he was clearly against act utilitarianism because it leads to that type of example. Like a cop who doesn't arrest a drunk driver because they got home okay, and in that specific instance the outcome was not negative, instead of arresting them based on the law and generalized rules (rule utilitarianism).

Ngl, i hate everyone in this situation. Ethan is obviously pedojacketing and that's fucked up, i genuinely think he should have legal consequences for this shit. What’s Ethan supposed to report to the authorities? Loli isn’t illegal in the US. As depraved and disgusting as those images are, no crime was actually committed. Unless an actual crime was committed, there’s nothing authorities can actually do about it. Law enforcement wouldn’t take Ethan’s report seriously for one second. Police are fucking lazy and barely raise their finger even when crimes are being committed.

This is a pathetic argument I routinely see from Loli loving Vaush bootlickers, but it's just so dumb on so many levels. Objectively he had Loli CP on his computer. Objectively he's made weird statements in the past, while also saying anybody who watches Loli is basically a pedo. I really hate to say this but I think this ones a big loss for Ethan here. Pretty much this entire video is constant clip chimps over and over and in the one portion of the entire video where Ethan legitimately looks for the context we get lines like " I don't want to hear about cobalt mines" when that was literally the argument that was actually happening. It originally had nothing to do with cp at all and only became that after Vaush made a stupid analogy. Ironically I sort of ended up responding to this video in the same way Ethan responded to the "context", I found myself asking to actually hear Ethans counter instead of playing silly one liners and replaying the same god damn clip over again for about the 10th time. I don't want to see that, what I want to see is an actual discourse. Ethan says he's heard the "context" before so where's the response? is it just a soundboard playing Vaush saying the word "horse" ten times over? is it the clip where he say's everyone's jerked it to loli when like 90% of all hentai is in fact loli? Hell a few years ago a gigantic portion of the content on hentaihaven was actually taken down specifically for that exact reason. It's an important subject that should be talked about and it appeared that Vaush's greatest mistake there was that he approached the subject with a really bad joke. I want to hear a measured response about issues like this and the "cobalt mine" issue because it's an actual issue that negatively effects people unlike this insane drama tuber stuff we actually got as a response. You yelled you wanted to hear an argument and now I find myself yelling to hear your counter. Where is it?

To be fair, I share virtually zero viewpoints with Ethan or Vaush, but Vaush’s explanation actually did show many out of context clips. That being said, there’s still enough context in other evidence to confirm that he’s a creepy pdo and into other deviant things.

This episode of the H3 podcast is dumb. They didn’t do his response justice in anyway. However yes there are people that think for themselves, so don’t be too quick to judge or you’d need a mirror at some point. Vaush’s response sucked too. He explained most of the evidence away as him being an edgy idiot saying these things at the start of his career and that he no longer stands by those arguments. Meanwhile he was playing big guy with Ethan a week ago wanting to do a podcast together to defend these idiotic arguments. So guess he changed his mind… this should also be obvious to a Vaush fan Also he is still downplaying the content of his folder which is just ridiculous at this point. And lastly he was really toxic in his response calling people idiots for thinking he is sexually attracted to minors because of all the things HE HAS SAID over the years and the porn he watches… that’s not people being stupid but him for not handling this situation better and distancing himself from those statements immediately. Last nail in this comment of yours: he ended his response asking you to not fight for him. He is a big boy and can fight his own battles.
