I have read many comments about how wonderful and helpful Matt is to his family. Bless him. I was wondering, though, if he is happy that he retired. 😊 It appears that he is working double time now! Thanks for the video.
I have Knockout Roses for years and they never fail to bloom continually. Matt shows his love for for the family with all the work he does for them. He is always there to help. I know you all are so thankful. Matt is so good hearted.
Have to agree with a lot of these comments. I'm a BIG fan of the entire Pressly family, but I have to say that Matt is up for "Employee of the Month" award. Round of applause for Matt...a guy who comes through in the clutches! God bless him.

Matt is going to be very deserving of a WONDERFUL Father's Day this year. He's worked so hard taking care of the ladies in his life, planting and all. Tipper, you don't break up the roots on your flowers when you transplant them to a bigger pot? I was always told by my grandma to lightly loosen the root system on them when transplanting.

Matt you may have to go back to work to get some rest
Tipper I grow roses all the time and not that I am criticizing but Matt may have planted those roses way to close to the steps. I would have set them far away to give them room to bush out.
You picked a great place to plant the roses. Matt is a good man, and he has a good wife. You two complement each other. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us.

Thank you for all the great comments about Satterfield's Briarpatch Nursery. We appreciate you & your family. We hope that you grow an abundance of food this year!
Matt is a keeper for sure & his actions do speak louder than words. His irons in the fire are manifestations of love & not only appreciated by your family but us too. I love your roses & other beautiful handiworks but especially your loving teamwork. TY for sharing your day with us. Love Y'All.
That little Quincy is their secret weapon! He surely knows his plants and where things are located in the greenhouses. I sure wish I lived close enough to visit Satterfields! I love adding plants every year to my yard. My youngest grand daughter told my daughter that she needed some alone time with me so I picked her up from Daycare right after lunch. We bought her Mommy a vase and I let her choose flowers from my yard to take to her Mommy. We made brownies and she added all the ingredients for me. When the brownies cooled off I cut them and packed them forget to take home. She played with our dog and they both chased bubbles outside. All fun things you can look forward to with Ira and the baby. I love watching all the wonderful videos!

You may want to move those roses a couple feet away from the steps. They get about 5 foot across. My son made that same mistake at his house steps.had to dig them back up. Good luck with your harden this year. 👍
So nice, pretty flowers. If those roses, are knock out roses, they spread out, you may have to move them away from the steps.
You guys are a GREAT team!!
Also, Matt is such a good husband. Y’all make such a sweet couple. He’s a keeper like you said Tipper. ❤
Matt is the man. Awesome
I am with matt, can't handle the humidity and heat. I woke up this morning and couldn't see out any of the windows they were so fogged up with humidity outside and air conditioning inside. Stay hydrated! Y'all are hard workers!
Katie is so blessed to have you as parents!
I think it is time for grandma and grandpa to introduce the new little fellow to us, as I have not had the opportunity and pleasure to see Katie’s boy yet!
I love it when folks still learn about each other after decades of happy marriage!
We all agree Matt's a keeper, and so are you Tipper. Y'all are great together, good complement to one another. Thank you for another fun video, as always. 💞 🙌🏼
The birds are so nice to listen to as you are eating your Popsicles after a hard day's work.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Your videos are always entertaining and filled with ❤️ I especially love your conversations about LIFE in your part of our beautiful world. References to your first grand baby. Boy is sweet. I’m sure that newborn baby smell just makes your heart swell. Appreciate the kind words of him in your conversation. The garden looks amazing. I'll enjoy watching all the flowers grow and fill in. Thank you for sharing Tipper and Matt ❤
I've been landscaping my place for 40 years and my husband learned to love it too. But, he's had to move a lot of stuff too. Your roses are too close to your steps. Spread them out like a zig zag pattern away from the steps and that area will be fuller☺️
My mom used the expression “how the cow ate the cabbage” all my life. She had so many funny “sayins” as we called them, and half of them I didn’t understand the meaning of, like “every pot has to sit on its own bottom.” Later in life I realized a lot of of her sayins were from the Bible. I made each of my sisters a quilt with her sayins embroidered on some of the squares. I have 3 sisters and by the time I got done, I was too tired to make one for me, but now that she’s been gone oh these many years, I wish I had made me one. She was 96 when she died 8 years ago and I still miss her so much. I never realized while she was living, just how wise she was.

Suburb living so not able to have a proper garden. My daughter and I went to our local family owned nursery yesterday to get flowers and the few vegetables we can plant. And I found Cherokee Purples! Very excited to get to try this tomato that I have watched you and Matt plant and harvest for years. They had a Cherokee Green too, so we decided to try one of those as well. Unable to plant enough for canning but we will sure enjoy fresh cut tomatoes with our meals and salads this summer. Really enjoy this channel. ❤

The more you keep those Knockouts trimmed up, the more they will bloom and they won't get as leggy. Ours just were on about a week's hiatus after riotous, gorgeous blooms. I just love them.
Great choice of roses! They will be so beautiful…and flowers will be so pretty with all the greenery around…you both have worked so hard. I hope everything grows well and the flowers are real showy…we will be back!
I thought I had heard all these old sayings but the cow ate the cabbage is a new one to me.😊 love the roses.
Excited to see the Rose bushes flourish throughout the summer! I'm sure they will be beautiful! 🌹🌹🌹
My roses bloomed the best they have in years!🌹🥀
Matt is a keeper!! And he's funny too! He loves his family💞 Makes me think of my dad he was alot like Matt with his actions and love fir his family 💞🥰
Tipper --- *y'all do whatever you like*, but I have one knockout rose bush ---that baby is bigger than the entire set of steps y'all have. People have stopped at the road to look at it! Personally, I'd just let those other 4 bushes have 4 new homes, all over your place & grannies & Cories. Thought I'd chime in now, because they'll be a lot easier to move while they're smaller. Sure looks pretty with all that fresh mulch! -much love from NJ ~Mary & fam
You mighta wanted to put more room in between those roses. They are also susceptible to June bugs real bad. Just do what you can to keep em off.
At the very least Stevia is a good pollinator attraction plant because it blooms little white flowers that most bees and butterflies are attracted to.
How sweet of Matt. ❤ everything looks beautiful , Tipper. Y’all are making it look so beautiful.
Matt is a really good man. Where did you find him Temper. He does everything you tell him to do. He's definitely one of a kind. ❤
The only clothes that I don't mind washing, drying & folding...tiny onesies, pjs & outfits.
I had a neighbor once who had roses beside a sidewalk. Everybody avoided that sidewalk because of the thorns. Looks like your headed for that dilemma.
I’ve had lots of knockouts and it’s true you don’t have to dead head but they look better and do better if you do

I agree that Knockout Roses can be a bit of a chore, because they do look much better if you deadhead them. I forgive them for that work because they give so much beauty for such a long season. I know it won’t hurt them if you allow the spent roses stay. It’s purely an aesthetic choice.

A man who does what needs doing without having to be asked is truly a blessing from God. Matt has a good heart.
In landscape design Lantana is used as a bush or hedge. It will out grow those small pots quickly...but they will be beautiful 😊 You could have used Lantana to line the stairs instead of the roses too.
When my zucchini didn't do well, a horticulturist told me to make sure that I fed them every week, and to remove any leaves that covered the flowers. She said that the bees don't come if they don't see the flowers as they fly around. I followed that advice and I got more zucchini than I knew what to do with. I share this even though I think you may already know it--but just in case. I'm with Matt regarding the humidity. I really, really dislike it!! I even hired a lawn service to cut the grass for me because I can't tolerate it when the dew point gets over 40 degrees and the humidity is high too. When I have to go outside and it's bad, I make sure to drink something like coconut water which is high in electrolytes to replace what I lose because of perspiring. I don't particularly like coconut water, but I sure feel better from it. While I am an avid gardener and love to see everything grow and prosper, I am grateful for Fall to come. Love and blessings to all.
Those Knock Out roses get HUGE. I have a couple. They are beautiful and bloom all summer. I have pink and red. I really like the coral one that you got. 😀

That’s what my husband planted for me when we moved here. a A knock out rose garden. But he did not cut them back enough every year. Last year he did not get to it. Now they are also huge.
It’s all beautiful. Make sure not to plant the roses too close to the side of the step. Don’t won’t them to overtake your steps.
Oh I loved this video Tipper. Everything is going to be so beautiful with all of the flowers and vegetable gardens. I have been working in my raised bed gardens and I got a lot of my flowers planted today. Now, I just need to plant my blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry bushes. I haven’t ever had them before. I hope they will grow and be productive. I also bought a fig tree to plant. It’s a lot of work, but I love planting. Thank you for bringing us along.
Tipper, we cut our knockouts back and they do great and they are pretty much maintaince free!! We love ours!!!! Tip....take a tablespoon of epsom salt and come out about an ince from main stalk and sprinkle all around. No, we never deadhead our knockouts!!!!
Y’all have such a lovely property! I look forward to watching everything bloom throughout spring. 🥰😍
I was hoping you would get the lavender rose bush. It was beautiful.
Really looks nice. Matt is a good man. I have a good man too and they are priceless.
The roses are beautiful. Loved the video❤❤
Your roses are beautiful I watched when you went to pick them up that place had so many beautiful plants and flowers 🌹 I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and I'm happy to see that Granny is doing good
Yes, Matt is a keeper ❤️ Thanks for sharing him with us Tipper 😉👍
It was fun, as always, watching you and Matt work in the yard. Look forward to watching all the flowers grow.
We live in upper SC and our ground is red dirt and roots. We’ve been here almost 3 years and I’m slowly making our place exactly like I want it. Lots of trees and bushes and too many flowers to count. This year I decided I’d had enough digging with my shovel so I bought a gas powered hole digger (auger) with a small and large auger from Amazon. My first try I figured out really fast that I couldn’t handle it. So my husband took over and he loves it. Digs a great hole and pulverizes the rocky soil. Highly recommended.
Knockout roses are beautiful my mother always had pink ones

Tipper you are going to love your roses. Even Matt will to. I use to be so tired from working in my yard there wasn’t no way I could go in the house and cook supper. That’s when bolonga came in handy, and we all loved it. Get some rest, praying for grannie, God bless
I have a coral colored Knock out rose. It has already been so beautiful The hard rain we've had in southern NC just made them so bedraggled looking. They will come back but all that rain sure did do them in for a few days. I LOVE Kock Out Roses. Yours are gorgeous.
We hope you give us updates and show us around your garden as it grows through the summer and fall

You two work so well together making your house a lovely home. 🌷🏡
You will enjoy your knockout roses. I have some that I planted at least ten years ago. I worked at a hospital prior to retirement. I noticed that the ground keeper would prune them back every fall to about 5 inches. I now do that and they are beautiful. Don't be fearful of pruning back every year, they will come back every year to around 4 ft.
I am from Alabama, and we always said, and that's how the calf ate the cabbage.
My Mama always had Lantana. I believe she always bought a Dallas Red Lantana. Just beautiful!
I’m big ole baby I can’t take the heat humidity never have 😂. Love y’all’s family and all of y’all’s videos ❤
Those birds are singing so beautifully! Wish you could film some. It sounds like you're in an aviary😊
Im unfortunately allergic to Stevia. However, my grandmother drank stevia leaf tea to keep her blood pressure low, and was able to cut her medicine intake because if it. She also used it to rinse her mouth when she spit out her snuff to clean her teeth. She had beautiful teeth despite her dipping for 50 years, and i honestly believe it's from the stevia. I wish it wasn't allergic to it.
Roses…my late mother loved roses and my poor dad before his death he was not digging one more hole for one to plant nothin in. Momes roses are still in bloom like she was
So I am really loving those Outshine grape popsicles now LOL 🍇🍇🍇 Outshine should probably thank you for increased sales 😂🤣
You don't have to deadhead the Knockout roses but they look so much better if you do.
Remember the rose’s will have to be kept trimmed back with being right next to steps and the little grand kids out playing in the yard steps are little ones favorite play thing
Blue snow is because it is really wet. We had a guy come and plow our driveway one winter. I loved just sittin in front of the window and watching. Well, one swipe up our driveway, I could see the bluest snow. It was like a wave in the ocean. So very pretty!

Tipper love your shirt you look nice with that color !! Yes indeed the Mr.Matt will need a very special Father’s Day even though he is not about much of a hoopla !! He’s a dad a granddad yep we need to dig up some xtra popsicles for Father’s Day !! LOL !!! The funny thing is that would suit Matt just fine !! What beautiful garden you all will have !! Sure hope it produces like crazy !! Just wait when those little boys are out there helping with the garden !! How wonderful that will be !!
I hope you get a chance to try making your own Ginger Beer, Tipper. It's wonderful and so easy! Non-alcoholic to, so it's like ginger soda. Lots of good recipes on KZread for it. BTW, it's possible to plant shrubs and plants straight into the hill, rather than trying to dig them in vertically. Makes for a more stable root base all around the base of the plant instead of just on the "upside" of the plant closest to the hill.
I have had knock-out roses for years and love them. I know yours will be beautiful. Love the colors you picked.
I planted red Salvia today too. Along with rose moss and cocks comb. Doesn't it feel so good to be getting pretty things planted to enjoy. I do like the roses by the stairs or steps. We have been getting a lot of rain too. Be blessed friends.
I’ve had knockout roses for years until we moved here. I don’t really have a good place to plant any here. They sure are hardy plants! That’s another reason I like them.
You sure inspired me to get out in the garden today. The rain has finally come and we're expecting more tomorrow. So I got out and repotted a few things, and weeded, and basically straightened up my gardening table. I only have a container garden now, and I sure do miss having an in the ground garden. I have an old patio table that is my plant pot table, and a few stacked pots and pots on concrete blocks just to keep them off the ground (and away from my daughter's dogs). I'm really surprise Binks hasn't discovered your catnip. My cat would have. Since you all don't use poisons, you can let that late bloom on the roses go and become rose hips, which are a great source of vitamin C for teas but also makes great tart jelly. Harvest them when they turn red, and then don't cut the roses back until you are sure you aren't going to have a thaw.
Great video thanks for sharing 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I am so impressed by little Quincy. He is a natural born salesman and a strong young man of character.
Your bees will love those beautiful roses!
So many pretty plants I have day lilies blooming right now. They are easy and come back every year. We are at the stage in our life when we say less is more but we still like our yard.
Stevia is good in tea. It replaces honey for sweetness, no calories.😊
My Lantana started off in a little pot like yours but I planted it in a half barrel by mid summer it was HUGE it filled the barrel to over flowing.
Don't plant them close together or close to the stairs the knock out roses bushes gets huge
Y’all got a lot planted. Them roses look beautiful by the steps.
