I've read Fergie said Le Tissier is one of the greatest players in the PL & didn't know how to plan against. If ture, that says a lot. And I'm a Man United fan. Le Tissier one of the greatest in the PL.

Don't think he was underrated, especially by people that know what they're on about. One man club. Could have had afew moves I reckon, if the media was like it is now back then there would have been transfer rumours constantly or people openly after him. Wasn't the same back then. Could have played more for England but he was too entertainin and showed too much flair....we crave that nowadays

Yes, I think he would've graced Serie A. Such a shame that England's most creative players are consistently overlooked or played out of position in the national team in favour of one dimensional box to box type players. Glenn Hoddle, Paul Scholes, Le Tissier, Joe Cole, Jack Wilshere (before injuries), Michael Carrick unfortunately were all wasted by England. Same thing is happening to Jack Grealish now.

He was so good, probably the most talented English player of his generation. Such a shame he was capped only 8 times by the national team. Only because he played in a relatively small club like Southampton. Just for not calling him up, England deserved to lose the Euro 1996. If he wanted, this guy could have played in any club in the world, from Man U to Real Madrid, and be the best player in any of those clubs, even win a Ballon D'Or. He remained loyal to his club till the end and that's one of the reasons real football fans we admire and see him as a real legend. All my respect and admiration to Le God! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🔝🔝

When it comes to, poise, intelligence and skill and they always seem to score goals nobody else could, as they always remembered what the point of the game is. I watched him live many times, he hardly missed a game including mud, snow and crap midweek away games at the other end of the country. He was totally committed to the club, the fans idolised him and his team mates loved having him alongside them, they knew they had a chance with him in the side. When I started playing I always thought, wrongly of course, that if I trained hard enough, got fit enough, ran enough I could be like Bryan Robson but I 100% knew that no amount of training and effort could make me as good as Le Tiss, an absolute footballing genius and worth the admission alone.
