This is an example of a fan talking to a wrestler who’s in the business and acting like they know more 🤦🏾♂️
Matt was spot on with fans knowing more was an issue.
I think Vince wanted to make wwe the star. Not the actual wrestlers in the 2010s
The biggest problem with Vince’s booking (in the 2010s at least) was stubbornness. He only cared about who he wanted to succeed regardless of what the fans wanted. Vince would give people gimmicks with absolutely no intention of having them succeed but the wrestlers themselves would manage to get over on their own (Zack Ryder, Rusev Day, Bad News Barrett, B-Team), which is what they’re supposed to do. But Vince gave them those gimmicks with the intention of them going no where and refused to budge on that, regardless of how much money it would end up making him if he did go along with it.
Matt should’ve got the world heavyweight title when he turned heel on Jeff. Instead of turning on Jeff before the end of the match so Edge could win, it should’ve been Jeff retaining because of Matt’s help and then Matt heel turns. Their extreme rules match at mania would’ve been for the world title then. Glad he got the mania victory over Jeff, but Matt deserved at least like a 1 or 2 month run with the big gold belt.
Yo tambien queria que matt Hardy ganara el campeonato de peso pesado de wwe
Aside from Matt and everyone else on the thumbnail: Shelton Benjamin, Cesaro, R-Truth, Hardcore Holly, Rhyno, and Umaga all could have had world title reigns in their prime. Their were also many who deserved to be the intercontinental or u.s. champions.
I honestly think Matt could have been a main event star and maybe a world champ somewhere between 2003 and 2008. He had quite a persona, both as a heel and a babyface, he was over with the fans, and he had some good matches against the likes of Kidman, Mysterio, Finlay, and Booker T. By the time he became US champ, it was a bit too late. His in-ring performance had somewhat deteriorated, understandably due to injuries and whatnot.
I think this is what makes wwe not as great in the modern era

They need me. I'm the 1% of the male population. I'm Beautiful and chiseled. Been watching WWE since I was 3. If those guys put me on the stuff triple h was on I'd be him. I already lift everyday religiously. If they pay me to work on my physique and take whoppings and give em I'd be in heaven.
is that mark acting like he knows more than the wrestlers? btw Matt, you were denied a contract bc you cant wrestle and r old. Boohoo
