The draft is meaningless and stupid. They should get rid of the draft. Most of the wrestlers stay on the same brand.

​@@FGTEEV10 Well that's because there is no brand split. They ended it many years ago, and they never went back to it cause they never wanted to. Once we're aware of that, it's easier to understand why people appear on either show each week. WWE just pretend the brands are split, so they can have 2 shows with a " draft " theme to boost the ratings on a specific week, as well as being trending on Twitter and be the center of attention and discussions for a week or two due to the draft theme. But that's it. It's been a fake draft for many years now to generate more views, and therefore more money. Which they have no intentions to enforce considering there is no brand split. They ended the brand split around the time the ECW show stopped ( so, around 2009-2010 ) , and have never split the brands since. Even NXT isn't split from the main rosters, as we've seen Natalya and Chelsie recently down there. Carmelo appeared on Smackdown weeks before being traded, as well as Dragon Lee. Shows that anyone can appear anywhere at anytime. Which proves there is no brand split at all.

It should just be for NXT people being drafted to the main shows. Now only do people jump back and forth regardless, but when someone like Bianca gets drafted, you know where Street Profits are going, Seth/Becky, Andrade/Charlotte, Ricochet/Samantha Irvin, etc, etc.

we all know wwe draft´s are BS but atleast back in the day it had a different feel to it ngl

The different feel came from the GMs being the likes of Vince and Flair, or Bischoff and Steph/Heyman etc. These days GMs are just there to be there lol

I will never forget Woken Matt laughing at Bray Wyatt laughing. Still makes me laugh to this day.

They need to get rid of the draft unless they make it something that matters. Maybe the rosters stay and then the "GMs" select 5-10 superstars to draft over to the other show or maybe whoever wins survivor series gets the #1 pick. Something meaningful or else just get rid of it.

@@scottbrown9545 dumbass i was referring to when Jr got drafted to smackdown in 2008 which was brought up in the video and people (including jr) could look at as a bad thing but for me at least it was dope to see him call jeffs big singles stuff during the time because they were on smackdown and Jr makes things more epic. P.S. i love the hardyz

The draft is dumb. It's a cheap plot point to move a few wrestlers around to fix up their storylines or set up new ones. The more realistic approach would be to have barriers(e.g wrestlers get escorted out by security if they're on the other show, unless production states they're a guest), and use cross brand conflict storylines to cause wrestlers to demand trades. Or in general, just have the respective GMs work out trades throughout the year. Would make their storytelling much more cohesive and believable.

I think it will be Tim Scott and Peter Brown as I knew liters of America the guy who is the wrestler sumo wrestlers dressed up as Tinker Bell in Japan peter brown

Raw and smackdown were created to simulate competition when wwe had no competition. 😅

The draft would feel more significant if they didnt "draft" the same stars who are already on the same show.
