Matt Damon Spent Covid Lockdown "Staggering Distance" From Bono's House In Ireland
Matt Damon says that while the band U2 and his onetime neighbor Bono are featured in his new documentary, "Kiss the Future," the film is really about how the band elevated the voices of survivors of the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. "Kiss the Future" is in AMC theaters February 23rd and streaming on Paramount+ later this year.

well, since you are from Bosnia,, can you explain,,?? pls. i still don't understand ? it was a Muslim vs Christian situation?? Is that right? And who were the Muslims and who were the Christians,,,, These are the locatons i've heard of 'Sarajevo Capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. i don't know what started it,,, what happened,,, i've tried reading about it but it seems So complex,,,,,,, and Who are the Slavs????? why did Yugoslavia 'disapper',,,,,can you explain what happened pls?? i would surely appreciate it.

@@JustMe-gs9xi No it wasnt't muslim vs christian situation. I have friends, orthodox christians and catholics whose fathers fought for Bosnia. What happened was that Yugoslavia was a too strong socialist country, which frightened the capitalist west. So when Tito died, the west took the opportunity to spark the hundreds of years old flame and convince the people here that they actually don't want to live together. So Yugoslovenian countries one by one started going their own way, and Serbia, with Belgrade as the capital of Yugoslavia, didn't want to let go, but they mostly didn't want to let go of Bosnia. They asked people in Bosnia to not separate to stay in Yugoslavia with Serbia and Montenegro, but Bosnia declined so Serbia attacked and tried forcefully to make us stay. And the west watched while we were being slaughtered, just like they are watching Palestine's being slaughtered now. For more info, you can check the documentary Weight of Chains here on youtube. There are 3 parts, but the first one is the main one 😉

Vrlo jasno vidim razliku izmedju srbina i cetnika, balije i muslimana, ustase i hrvata. @@tuzlanka777 Please dont compare Palestine and Israel to Bosnia. I KNEW someone horrible would try to do this. Same way they try to put BLM and Palestine together. No. Each country is its own, you cannot simply overlay your projections and own culture over another. In fact there is a huge difference each time. I will not go by this description bc simply by blaming an entire different country (which is valid but not entirely the case) you have lost. I no longer believe you. All jokes, and crushing aside, I greatly believe that Matt Damon has put himself in the space where he can do the greatest good for what he believes. I dont know if Matt is Irish American or not but he lived in Ireland for a while with his family, and he really fitted in with the Irish who left him alone to live his life because he is cool/ low key, is smart, has a sense of humour and has his ego under control - No wonder he got on so well with Irish treasure Cillian Murphy on Oppenheimer and an Irish co production since "Small things like these" about the human effects of the awful convent run Magdalene laundries in Ireland until the 90s.

Bono used the pain of others as marketing for U2. Live Aid, Bosnia. Etc. It was nothing to do with the victims but about upping their profile and selling records. Same reason he won't call out what's happening in Gaza. He doesn't see this as good marketing in the US market.

I don't know why, but I still see some glimpses of Will Hunting in personality of Matt Damon whenever I watch his interview s. As he is aging, I'm happy for him as he is able to do the things that he likes more than the things that bring him profit. But that's the way it should be with movie stars... I know his best acting performance is still to come, as his is becoming a better actor and I enjoy watching that process. He looks, acts and behaves as a genuinely nice person. I think he is.
