Masturbation And Bodybuilding: is there a connection? Does masturbation affect muscle growth? Does masturbation lower testosterone? This is a common fear among many lifters and is one reason why many go the "No Fap" route. They believe that this can help them increase testosterone naturally and thus build muscle faster as well. But is there any real truth to this? In today's video I go over the masturbation and testosterone studies that are available to determine if this is something you need to be worrying about. If you've been asking "is masturbation bad for my gains" or whether masturbating before a workout is harmful, make sure to watch this video through and also comment with your own experience as well.

I feel like every time I 'reset' I feel a bit more empty if that makes sense, and less confident and aggressive. After around 4 days I reach my peak and I feel great generally. AGREED. THANKS! Something few have discovered: Sexual release can either elevate your energy and aggression, or leave you feeling "spent" for a while. The mind determines which it will be. There are athletes who gear their minds so that sexual release elevates excitement, and stimulates testosterone, and they even do it before wrestling matches or football games to increase their power. Some guys can do it twice in a row and raise so much testosterone that they have to find a wild athletic event to release the aggression they raised. For most men climax results in a flood of prolactin, a female hormone which temporarily weakens you, especially when in a gentle and tender mood. Or anxiety about sex will cripple you. They say you can bypass the assault of prolactin with your mental attitude. Those who warn everyone that sexual release weakens you might benefit from examining what type of mental energy they put into it. These guys spread their anxiety to others. And anxiety cripples them. They should look inside and forgive the people who made them feel guilty about sex, and try to restructure some positive feelings about it. Feeling anxiety and guilt about something so essential to life will weaken your ability to reach your potential in every aspect of life.

Is there any time in training phase where I have a week of training on lesser load to avoid muscle burnout When we do progressive overload, our muscles are constantly challenged to overcome increasing loads . Supposing we do progressive overload for 6 weeks, do we need to consider doing a week with lighter loads as part of recovery? In running, we have this concept when we increase mileage where after 3-4 of increasing mileage, we have a week with lesser mileage for our legs to recover

At first I didn’t like this guy. However, I have to subscribe for the intellectual conversation alone about this. As a boxer, you’re taught that it robs your legs (lack of stress when you pivot). In weight gains, I can’t see how it would rob you of any, so thank you Sean for covering this.
