I would love to see a video from you for setting up a good management Interface on my Mikrotik rack. I have a CCR, RB3011, a 16 port CRS fiber switch and other assorted switches with servers attached.

The cpu usage did not increase too much when LACP is enable? If have a consistent usage for uplink for example. Nice video !!!

I had very bad time configuring lacp between ccr2004 router and crs326 switch, the router becomes unmanageable due crazy lag. Mikrotik support couldn't help so I just gave up and disable bonding. I even replaced ccr2004 with new one, same result, so there is a bug in ccr2004. BTW using hap ax3 instead of ccr2004 with same config works perfectly fine.

802.3ad is not fully compatible whit layer 3-4 hash policy. For that you need to use balance-xor, its was mentioned recently in one of Mikrotik videos and can read about it in documentation.

Yeah I can see in the docs it is referenced, not sure what not fully means. This hash policy just seems to work the best for my use case. Guess I am just lucky, still suggest testing in your own network what works best.

Thank you what would be the best configuration to use LACP to aggregate multiple links (ADSL lines with Same ISP and same Latency) to a CHR VPS Currently I'm doing the aggregation with EOIP tunnels (which are over L2TP tunnels) and balance rr bounding mode Looking to improve it more as I have no access to high speed internet connection where I live Multipath TCP (using openmptcprouter project) should work great for me but ISP blocks all other VPN protocols (except for L2TP and PPTP) so the openmptcprouter didn't work for me

does bonding applicable with wan interface?

  • @TheNetworkBerg

You could use bonding on a WAN interface yes, if you manage the links yourself it's easy to setup, though a bit harder if you want to do this through your ISP. Would have to ask them if they can deliver a server via LACP to you.

have you tried to play with l3 hw offload on that crs? i managed to make both routing and mpls (p/pe) working with some strange behavior (like traffic generator seems to work fine through it but bandwidth test for some strange reason switches crs to cpu routing) i would love to see your take on it.

Honestly this is something I am busy testing as well and have the same experience. Trying to see if there is something that can be tweaked to give the expected results

@@TheNetworkBerg i did some testing and it seems like it doesn't like /32 addressing (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't) also it looks like this switch cant use more than single mpls label on the stack ( i can run offloaded EoIP tunels on it but vpls/l3vpn goes through cpu.

Hi Bro, need your help. Split Tunneling is enabled on the OpenVPN server but it seems my system is missing some configuration which is causing internet not to simultaneously work when VPN is connected I want the internet to be working on my base system as well & I should also be able to connect to my work network as a lot of websites are blocked inside the work network. Can you please tell me what settings I need to do on my laptop VPN to make this work. Kindly help. There is an ovpn configuration file in which details are given. But still after doing below settings the internet on my ubuntu machine disconnects when connected to VPN pull-filter ignore "redirect gateway" route-nopull route 255.255.255.255
