MASTERCLASS 3: Heart Health=Brain Health: How to Take Control of Your Risk Factors, presented by board certified neuropsychologist Dr. Karen D. Sullivan, sponsored by the Reid Fellowship for Healthcare Transformation of The Foundation of FirstHealth.
Do you know that many common conditions affect the heart, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and sleep apnea, also affect the brain? Over time, these conditions narrow and damage the small vessels that supply the brain with blood and oxygen. This can result in both subtle and more noticeable changes in thinking and memory that are largely preventable! In this I CARE FOR YOUR BRAIN lecture “Heart Health = Brain Health: How to Take Control of Your Risk Factors,” neuropsychologist Dr. Karen D. Sullivan discusses the connections between the heart and the brain, how to reduce the effects of vascular-related risk factors and provides practical tips that will help you CARE FOR YOUR BRAIN!

Gracias Dr! For your priceless information, for giving the extra mile in providing this info! Why do doctors not tell us in depth about this? Wish we had more professionals like you in PR. God bless you!

This lecture could not have come at a better time for me. I’ve recently begun seeing a cardiologist who has recommended a series of tests. The results have given me more insight as to my health status. My Dr. has suggested adding medications that I have serious reservations about taking. Your input is extremely helpful. You have managed to make physical processes understandable. As always, there is a lot to take in. I am glad that I can take screen shots of the summary information. Thank you for all your hard work in presenting this invaluable information to us.

Thank you so much, in my 76 years I have NEVER had a doctor that explained things properly as you do. I wish I’d found you earlier but better late than never!

I have a question. I have been diagnosed with fluid/pressure on the brain. Have you did a video of such, or have I missed it? A spinal tap is suggested. I'd love to have your opinion on this. TKS

If I took an anticholinergic daily for years (over the counter allergy med), once stopping all anticholinergic's has the damage been shown to be reversible over time of non-use?
